Actually his comments do prove his stance. If you strive to be the best, you have to deal with the pressure that comes with it. If you are in a top 100 guild to begin with, and you personally won't settle for less than top 5 in your raid, then you aren't going to treat the game the same way as the guy who wants to ride cruise control and play lore and maybe pvp twice a week.
