  1. It's just screen grabs from long voidstar matches.. Look at the healing done on each one. 800k+ is easy enough in such games if you have the gear and can be bothered... All it means realy is that voidstar is a broken wz map if played by two well balanced teams...
  2. Pyro merc > everything else If you understand how to play/gear it that is......
  3. My merc pyro spec feels about half as powerful as it was yesterday, all shots/dots hitting for a lot less. anyone else noticing this or am i going nuts ?
  4. The population imbalance on most servers is severely restricting the enjoyment and quality of pvp play for the lower populated faction (republic in most cases) I have 2 max level characters i pvp on, one is imperial, the other republic and this has given me an insight into just how unfair it is to pvp on the lower populated side. Without going into depth as to why it is horrible to pvp on the lower pop side 'should be obvious to everyone' i would just like to suggest a short term fix until server merges balance out the numbers. Why not allow reps/imps to que/play together in pvp (in the interests of balance/fair play) until you can fix the problem with server merges, then it can revert back to faction v faction. Would anyone object to this idea?
  5. I mentioned those damage numbers as an example of what pyro is capable of if you have the patience to practice and learn the spec inside out. It can be frustrating to manage heat as pyro, but after playing it for a while you will get a good feel for how it works. It is a far more rewarding play style than just being a dps turret. Apologies if my post seemed like i was boasting ect, it was not my intention. All i was trying to point out is that mercs have acsess to the best pvp spec in the game, so why not use it.....>? As to those doubting the potency of the spec, i will try get a few screen shots today for you
  6. Why not learn to play merc pyro correctly? It is the most mobile spec in the game, and has some of the highest damage. I can easily pull off 500-600k in a huttball game without breaking a sweat as pyro, and rarely die. The slow on rapid shots also makes you very useful in a ranked warzone. In short 'it is the merc pvp spec'...go play it.
  7. It's more of a problem if you are a melee class i think. On my bounty hunter it's just not an issue at all, but on my sentinel i spend what feels like half the game either rooted, stunned or thrown around. Premade teams chain CC on me so much that i have actually started leaving some games because of it 'something i hate doing' My BH is rank 71 and sent rank 80 so i speak from having good exp in the pvp side of the game. The whole CC system needs to be reworked, pvp at the moment is not much fun because of this problem.
  8. You need to unequip the item you want to trade in..
  9. A few suggestions I have for ium here, maybe others can add more if they have some good ideas. 1, Fix the lag obviously, this is a game breaker of a problem... 2, Add some more incentive for people to actually want to participate in world pvp 'beyond grinding their daily quests'.. Maybe some unique rewards/titles or mounts ect. 3, Spread the daily armaments out across the different control points and not just place them all at central, this will improve small group pvp battles which would be fun, and it would allow both sides 'regardless of faction imbalance' a chance to do their quests. 4, Maybe add some npc's to each faction that can be activated if certain conditions are met, similar to alterec valley in wow 'a pvp instance that is still well loved after nearly 7 years of people playing it'. I am sure others have some good ideas to improve ilum 'and pvp in general'. The thought of circling central everyday for these armaments, or trying to fight laggy battles is realy starting to put me off...
  10. The last few nights on my server republic and imps have been out in large numbers fighting for control of central ilum. A lot of us got talking about how good this large scale pvp could be if they fixed the LAG...... Tactics are just not an option with this unplayable lag all time. Please bioware you have to fix this problem, it's totally unaceptable for a sub based game, and a lot of good players are quitting because of it, and the lack of content also. You have the makings of a truly great game here.... Sort these problems out faster or you are not going to be left with anyone to play it.
  11. Respec to pyro, they have a strong railshot.
  12. I raid and pvp as pyro merc 'downed all nightmare modes accept soa.' While it is hard to be certain which merc spec is best single target without the aid of dps meters, I can tell you from experience that i pull bosses off our tank a lot more often as pyro, and have to use my dump aggro skill every cd 'or stop dps completely sometimes'. Also heat managment is never a problem if you understand the rotation. As for stacking crit/surge as pyro, it is a bad idea. I only have about 27% ranged crit/67% crit multiplier in pvp gear. Investing in power and high acurracy is far more benificial to pyro 'I can often do 500k+ damage in huttball matches.
  13. We must have a lot of exceptional players on our server then, because i see a lot of tanks getting 12 medals 'including their 300k damage' on a regular basis.. As yet i have not seen a dps do 900k damage I think the key word you missed in my post was 'comparative' that's different than the 'same as' amount of dps. Besides that, I think you are totally missing my point here.
  14. As far as i am aware sorc is the only spec that is capable of getting 75k healing and 5k heal medals whilst specced purely for dps, is that fair and balanced? of course it's not. Powertech bh can get 4 more medals than their merc counterparts and do more damage for an easy 12 medals a game if played well, is that fair and balanced? of course it's not. Any decent tank can get 12 medals a game and do comparative damage to the pure dps specs in the game, is that fair and balanced? of course it's not...... Stop trying to defend blatant imbalances within the pvp side of the game just because you happen to play one of these classes, and stop accusing people of not being team players just because they want to compete for top spot on the end board. It's possible to do both well.
  15. The OP actually has a valid point here imo. Getting the most medals/damage in a match adds a competitive edge to the pvp and is fun.. Now that the pureshock water has been removed 'and rightly so' the imbalance is realy showing, sorcs are always top now because they get a passive 75k heal medal from their shields and have np getting the 5k heal also. Tanks also get 2 free medals for no effort at all. Pure dps classes 'no matter how well they play' can never compete for top spot now, which is quite frustrating i think.... Quitting over this is a bit ott though, i am sure bioware are aware of the problem and intend to fix it.
