  1. I think the problem is that as they increase the levels and add skill points people would be able to max out all skill trees eventually. Thats why they did this discipline thing.

Bull. They should have added new options, or expanded the number of points we can put into existing options, to cover the additional skill points. That's how you expand the game and keep people interested. Not by stripping of all choice, and scaling back everything so the new max is roughly the same as the previous max was.

  2. 8. Diplomatic missions that -aren't- just hack and slash. Real chances to use diplomacy or cause chaos without having to lift a blade.

There are a number of missions you can end without fighting. Some are defined as diplomatic, others are not. Like the first class mission for the BH on Alderaan. Pure diplomacy, no fighting if you don't choose to.

Perhaps you are just picking the wrong conversation choices?

  3. Unfortunately, once 3.0 is released in 3 or 10 days, you won't have skill trees anymore. Just a single, locked in discipline.

And either way, it would be difficult to do because of all of the base skills tied to your advanced class, and the weapon options.

  4. I agree. Give players the option to buy one of a handful of medium sized destroyers to act as a Legacy Mothership. Not like the giant carriers guilds get. Like a Star Destroyer instead of of a Super Star Destroyer.

But what if we also allow guild members to 'attach' their Legacy mothership to the guild's mothership, so it looks like the giant guild ship has a bunch of support vessels with it. Of course, you would have to be able to detach at will, but that seems to me to be the best of all worlds.

  5. How about a legacy unlock, available for each character at level 50, that gives all your characters +100% XP on Class Missions. Or even better three unlocks, one for Class Missions, one for Exploration, and one for Space & GSF Missions.

For example, if you have 5 level 50+ characters and bought the unlock for each, all of your characters could get 6x XP. The more characters, the higher the bonus and the faster you can level new characters. And anyone who does not want it can just not spend the credits or Cartel Credits to buy it.

  6. Alderaan. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

Alderaan and Mannon would both be good. And I wouldn't mind Hoth. But no Taris.

Voss would also be high on my list.

But there needs to be an increase to the maximum number of each deco a Legacy can own, then.

  7. How about a legacy unlock, available at level 50, that gives all your characters +100% XP on class missions.

Then if you have 5 level 50+ characters, all of your characters could get 6x XP. The more characters, the higher the bonus and the faster you can level new characters. And anyone who does not want it can just not spend the credits or Cartel Credits to buy it.

  8. I definitely agree with consolidating the number of crafting materials to one per rank; with the exception of the blue/purple separation. Those can stay two per rank. This will not only save on space, but will also improve the crafting experience.

I also agree with making recuperation items into unlockable skills. They are already bound and can't be sold, so just go the extra mile; give us a new tab for these skills and have the items unlock the skill. And give us a emotes skill tab while you are at it.

I could get behind subs getting an extra panel. Not one per expansion, just one. With collections, there is less need to hold on to stuff you might want in the future (also, see below).

I disagree on the med packs being a single item. All of them are salable, and you don't generally need to keep more than one type of med pack (the best you can use) at a time.

I would also suggest expanding the collections to include some non-cartel items. FP armor sets for example. And the armor packs from Starfighter. Then once you complete the set, you can discard it and summon it as needed.

  9. How about a dual-bladed lightsaber with two color crystal slots?

    Unique comp skins?

Unique weapons with special lighting effects (like the pulsing lightsabers)?

Or, since Marvel and Star Wars are both Disney properties, an Iron Man armor set, and Mjolnir 'vibrosword'? I've already seen Loki running around The Harbinger...

  10. Right, ok. When I read the title I'm not going to tell you what I thought you were suggesting. I like my account.

Don't worry, I was thinking the same thing.

On topic, I agree with this. And not just for lightsabers. I picked Body 1 female for a Bounty Hunter tank for irony. And when I look at the new Czerka pistol on the Cartel Market, it looks ridiculous. It's as big as my character's frelling torso. I can't imagine having two of those as a BH Mec.

  11. Doing some research before making such a decision is something everyone should do. If you pick an advanced class without making an effort to learn about the gameplay, then you get what you deserve.

And the starter planets does not take long to complete, nor is it hard.

Doing research is all well and good, until the combination of skills we researched suddenly becomes unavailable due to a massive shift in the game's basic structure.

And Starter planets may be quick, but those hundreds or thousands of Cartel Credits (a.k.a. real world money) people spent on legacy perks aren't going to be refunded if they start a new character and delete the old one.

  12. I have looked into the calculator, and made an effort to learn what I could about the system, but it seems my main (a jedi shadow) is going to be utterly destroyed by the changes. I play a tank/dps hybrid, and have done well main tanking in everything I've played, and I also do decent damage. This new system will cost me CC, ability cooldown reduction, force regeneration, damage, and damage resistance, through the loss of various active and passive abilities that I can currently get with the skill trees, but will lose when 3.0 comes around. In exchange, I'll gain several abilities I don't currently use because they weren't worth going to the end of the trees to get them, and some more or less insignificant 'utility' skills.

In short, this 'more choice and freedom' that I'm supposed to be getting is a single choice of three possible skill paths, with no mixture of any of them, which leaves my character an exact copy of all of the one tree builds that people seem to love so much. Instead of having a very well-rounded character with useful CCs, lots of survivability, and damage, I'll get a character with abilities that I have previously deemed not worth having. I have no illusions that this post means anything to anyone but me, but I can foresee people leaving the game because of their characters being dumbed down to a single assigned tree. We no longer get trees with multiple possible paths; we instead get a piece of string that meanders to the same inevitable destination, with no choice about how far we want to go on that piece of string.

I tend to agree with you, but am determined to give it at least a chance.
