  1. These sites exploit the different pricing in different world regions. They buy up codes in regions where they're cheaper due to tax or other world-economic reasons, and sell them in other regions, often without the (game) company's permission. So it's shady at best, and can get your account banned by some companies at worst. Not sure what the policy is for SWToR accounts.
  2. Well that settles it then. Don't Panic, know where your towel is, and come back the next day.
  3. Don't think it says anywhere 'Bring them all in on the same day/week' or anything like that. From what I can tell, it just means that on that character, you have to bring in each available bounty alive *at some point*. So if he gets killed now by bystanders, try tomorrow or next month. The quests are repeatable. I highly doubt the achievement would be that vulnerable to random acts of trollery... Hell, rereading it, it may even be that you have to bring each one in *at some point* *on any character* (and not necessarily all on the same character) since the achievement is legacy wide. But I haven't tested that out yet.
  4. Think you missed the part where a sage is a healer/dps class, and a shadow is a tank/dps class. Both are very viable dps.
  5. If you're short on assignable laughs, you can have the one that's inexplicably gotten dumped on my smuggler. She's a sarcastic piece of work, she shouldn't giggle at the drop of a hat like she hadn't taken her lithium...
  6. You're probably better off looking in the Class forums for the Sage. There's quite a bit of information on specific classes, skill trees, etc there.
  7. Elevator bosses, the scourge of many an MMO...
  8. If you still have stuff like the Ilum and Belsavis second parts to go (the ones with the daily quests before they become dailies), do those. On of my fresh 50's got all the way to 51,5 doing just the Ilum questline. Once you hit 52, you get the Binocular and Seeker droid questline. Move off Makeb and do (part of) those, they're a metric ton of XP. If you can, make sure you've got rested XP and/or use an XP booster. There's plenty more general tips, but these proved most useful to me personally. No guild needed.
  9. But then it would be a shield-offhand. It isn't. They already admitted that some items are on the wrong vendor, and will be fixed in an upcoming patch. Wonder where the willpower offhand actually is. Will we get commando's with willpower? ^^
  10. They're probably not far off though. Sure, there's a lot of pacing and gating involved. But since official statement here is that the 25 quest log limit is due to performance issues if they take it higher, it's not that big a leap to think that other stuff will affect it the same way. And the crappy state of the engine is common knowledge.
  11. I created a new char on the pts way back when, and got the lvl 10 title with that. I recently (read: 2.0 pts) leveled that same char the normal way (no boost to 55 or any boosting items whatsoever) to finish act 1 at lvl 31. I haven't seen the Cutting Edge title yet. I did transfer tow of my other chars over and boost them. I think there's a variable we're missing, either with the prereqs for the title or it's availablility. As said before not a game breaker, but would be nice to see an answer one way or the other...
  12. And that's what a lot of folks don't get. It's fine people want stuff for free, and more content, and better designed/quicker/original/class content and what not. So do I. But that takes money. In an f2p model, that money largely comes from that percentage of the playerbase that has the disposable income to buy the items and packs (and the subs). They're the ones that make it possible to be f2p in the first place, because they spend more a month than they would have in a sub-only model. Because they can. I'm gonna buy another hypercrate. You're welcome.
  13. I own silver CE STAP. I don't find the new models insulting in the least. First off, my silver is still recognized as being CE only, since they don't sell silvers on the market, and thus it's still unique. Second, maybe the value of the CE verson has changed, and the main value is now in the fact you get a scalable speed vehicle free with every character. And still one of the best looking ones imo, probably tied with the 'classic' dart-models. And I'll repeat that argument again with the event-armor, and any other recolor. In my opinion (those words are key) there's nothing wrong with taking a look, changing the parameters, and making it available through other means. At the same time, there's value in having items event-only and not be obtainable through other means. Those two premises don't have to be at odds. Your event-rep-only white/blue scalene armor is still event-rep-only, and unique in that respect. Taking the model and repainting it so people can get a version of it in other ways doesn't detract from that. In my opinion. And bring on the mountain rakghouls and the meditation buckets. If I like 'em I'll buy them/work for them. If I don't, I won't. No skin off my back either way. But we'll probably have to agree to disagree on this issue.
  14. You're not guaranteed an ultrarare. My guess is you never bought any boosterpacks for any collectible trading card game? Cause it's the same principle. You get a guaranteed number of common, uncommon and rare items (rares sometimes replaced with ultrarares), but there's no guarantee how valuable those items will be. Not all rares are of equal value. So yes, one minute you can get all trash, and the next you're rolling in credits. If you can't handle that system, by all means, don't buy them. But that doesn't mean the system is inherently flawed.
  15. How does the gold scalene armor for cash make the white-blue/black-red ones less valuable? You'd have a point if it was the exact same coloring. Just because it's the same model doesn't automatically detract form the uniqueness of the harder to get armor. Same with the STAP. The new models are different colors, so nobody who matters is going to confuse them with the silver ones from the CE. Again, if they were selling silvers in the market it's be a thing. BTdubs, the Gree event will repeat and the rep-armor will be available again. Will you complain then that it's easier to get the rep needed and thus your hard work on the dailies in the past two weeks are being detracted from? I personally am in favor of the recoloring of models made available form different sources. Contrary to popularist current belief, quick wins don't automatically make for lazy development.
