  1. This has no interest to me because it is not retroactive. I have done most all of this content several times, and adding some new rewards does not make it new content. If it was retroactive I could see myself and many others in my Guild using it as an excuse to do some things together and complete some old activities when not Raiding. I am deeply concerned with SWtOR's current direction. I have tried to stay positive and encourage others in my Guild to do the same. Most of us play MMO's for group content, and almost everything SWtOR has added in the last year or two has been solo rpg content. I see any new content as good, but when we get little new group content, and no new Operations or FP's for a whole Expansion it is very disheartening. Bioware has to allocate resources, and the more the is content recycled or that is solo content is less that is new and group oriented. I have had a bad feeling for a long time that Bioware/EA is making a fair bit of money but not putting much of that back into content. I don't know if that is the case or not, but this Event does nothing to make me stop worrying about that. I hope the game makes a profit, I hope more people play, but I am getting to the end of my time if this continues. As someone here since Beta and who leads a Guild that has been around and active since launch that is a bummer, but again, I play for group content and playing with friends, and SWtOR is becoming harder and harder to enjoy that play style. I know there is probably no economic reason for Bioware/EA to do it, but it would be great if they could confirm their future direction is like we have seen in the last year with KotFE, with no new Legacy levels, emphasis on solo content and no new Flashpoints and Operations.
  2. Thank-you for the kind words Barainwater. Friends and allies rank right up there with Guildies.
  3. Is this a Bug or a Fix? Are we supposed to be getting Affection? If it is a Bug will be get the lost Affection points retroactively when its fixed?
  4. Heroic Quests can be brutal when they give Conquest points. That kind of crowding just makes people ninja camped mobs and a general unpleasant experience. I would really prefer shorter respawns than more instanced areas though. Too many of those and we become an MO instead of an MMO.
  5. It would be great to be able to give multiple gifts at a time. One of the most painful 'grinds' left in the game is raising companion affection. A 3 second cast with no cooldown is better than it was at launch, but with 50 Ranks, so many companions (and more all the time) the system needs to be improved. And for those of us with alts its even less enjoyable. Being able to give multiple gifts (1-99 ideally, but even in groups of 10 would be ok) would work great with the new Companion mechanics and the overall philosophy of 4.0.
  6. As long as this doesn't take away from work on new Operations (which we really need) it looks great. I worry a little about too much solo content, but all the below, combined with Bowdar, it pretty awesome. Solo content is fun for a short time, but group content with my Guild is what keeps me around. Hopefully there will be more to this chapter than this, but for one new thing in a month it sounds great. Perhaps the best thing about it for me is the hope that there will be communication to the community about what BW is doing and WHY. Some players will troll and complain and you will never please them, but for those of us who really like, and want to like, this game we spend so much time on communication helps keep us positive. Even if I didn't like the proposed content the communication would keep me from being down on it. Hopefully you guys can keep up this trend. Thanks for the hard work and I am looking forward to trying this out.
  7. Happy Holidays everyone! It's been another great year for HFC and I am pleasantly surprised that it looks like our activity isn't decreasing around the Holidays this year. For everyone travelling we have someone off work and spending twice as much time in game. As of now our Operation and Event schedule is remaining solid through the Holidays and into 2016! As a Bonus here is a link with some screenshots of our Festive Capital Ship parties Imp and Pub side: http://www.hammerfistclan.com/forum/f14/happy-holidays-galaxy-far-far-away-683130/
  8. Hello weaverme and thank-you for replying. We put a lot of info in our First Post in this Thread but if that does not answer your Questions feel free to hit up anyone with a Hammerfist Tag in game. Likely an Officer will be around but if not most of our Members have been in the Guild for a long time and can answer most questions. We welcome people of all play styles and experiences. Our only 2 requirements is that you be 18+ and not be a jerk; we are here to have mature fun together and game time is too precious to waste on jerks. We run Events on both Factions on an alternating basis and run Operations 4+ nights a week with PvP once and a Social night thrown in for fun. Between the info in the first post and everything here if you are interested then swing by and post an Application. Its short and then we all talk and ask questions and get to know each other, which is fun in and of itself: http://www.hammerfistclan.com/forum/f68/team-application-250072/
  9. Its great to see so many old Members returning and new Members settling in. General consensus is this Expansion is pretty darn good. We resumed Group Activities and Operations this week and its great for the long time Members to get to show off some of our knowledge with our newer players. Next Ops Friday and Saturday!!!
  10. Welcome to the 3 New Members who joined us in the last week. Lots of fun running the old content for Titles, Achievements Decorations and Fun before KotFE drops!!!
  11. Datacron runs, Achievement hunting in Ops and other places prior to KotFE dropping, and still Raiding and PvPing. Make sure to check out our site to join, and sign up for the Group Events if you are a Member!
  12. Our guild has been hurt by the increase in difficulty. We have a lot of social/casual Members who for the first 3 years of the game would Raid with us on 'Social Nights' once or twice a week. Now to get them through even Ravagers we have to stack the Ops with many more 'Raiders' then we used to have to. If enough of our more experienced/skilled people are not available then we cannot do the Operation that night. This is frustrating for our Raid Leaders and uninteresting to our more casual Members who just want to hang out with their friends and see all the game content; and I thought a stated goal of BW was to allow everyone to see all game content. 3 difficulty modes seemed ideal, but we don't really care about that. What we care about is getting all of our Members into Operations sometimes. And while I personally I like the idea of the old Operations being 'new' again (they are fun), once every Operation is on level we will not even be able to take people through a tour of the old Ops for easy fun and Mounts/Achievements. After almost 4 years of SWtOR it could be some difficult changes for many of our Members/Subscribers...
  13. Even with the Summer and its holidays and changed routine we have managed to keep up our Event and Operation schedule. By popular demand we are working more of the classic Ops into our rotation before the Expansion hits. The Expansion news has already started to bring some of our veterans back; everyone is looking to enjoy the Galaxy before the big renovation...
  14. Hello there you two! Sorry about not getting back to you sooner, we have just moved our Officer Corps around and now have one person who will be in charge of Recruitment (and this Thread) in the future. Currently we have set Events several nights a week with frequent pick up groups formed in guild chat or in Mumble on off nights. We alternate posted Events between Pub and Imp side on a weekly basis to focus our activity and to score good Conquest points. We have Members from all over the world (even an Officer in Australia) so there is usually someone(s) online. Our peak time Monday to Friday would be about 7pm to 11pm EST and we have anywhere from 10 to 28 people online. On Weekends there are 8-28 online all day and evening long. Recurring Events: Tuesday - Social Night : Usually we do a low level Ops or something as a Guild for Conquest points (Planet Raid, Heroics, etc). We always have a fun time in Mumble and try to get lower levels involved when possible. Thursday - 8pm est Operation Friday - 8pm est Operation Saturday - 8pm est Operation Saturday - 4pm est Progression Operation Group Sunday - 5pm est Progression Operation Group (opposite Faction) If a good group of (mostly) mature friends sounds like something you are interested in please consider HFC as a potential Home. HFC has been around for well over a decade and has been strong in SWtOR since launch. We try to make this a good place to hang out since we spend so much time here. Dragon.
  15. Ravagers Story Mode has been cleared on both Factions multiple weeks in a row with different people rotated in. Farm Status!
