  1. Sorry, I wasn't clear on this. His queue likes popping when there is about seventy seconds left in his space mission, so he has to bail on it before he can finish the mission.
  2. He complains a lot about how his queues pop 10 seconds before he finishes space missions, so you most certainly can. You still get the XP from the stuff you killed though, so it does still benefit you.
  3. I have a guildmate who is leveling a character through doing class quests, and PvP. He does space missions while waiting for queue pops to keep a constant stream of XP. He only plays at night since he lives in China, so the queues can be lengthy at times, but he is leveling pretty quickly that way. Maybe doing something like this would help out your XP grind.
  4. There are 2 other MGGS datacrons. The one on Alderaan you don't actually need the MGGS for, but the one on Corellia you do.
  5. Okay, since you obviously don't get it, let me spell it out. I could DoT the tank, then go after the ranged class, roll him and work on the tank until help could arrive. Now, I have to spend all my time attempting to kill a tank while the ranged class just blows me up at his leisure. It handcuffs me into losing, while before, if I was decent melee PvPer vs. bad PvPer's I at least could hold them off. Like I said, the better way to work this would have been for DoTs to not count against capping a point if the DoT dealer is dead, but if he's alive and actively defending, the benefit should be there. If the DoTs don't count after the DoT dealers death, it's not going to encourage suicide DoTing runs, now is it?
  6. What it does is completely gimps a melee defender vs. a tank-ranged team. It's no longer who is the better PvPer because I can't be stopping a cap and taking out the real threat first because of this. I should be able to compete 2 vs. 1, not just get completely rolled by poor mechanics. Especially since the best way to fix this would be to rework mechanics on cleansing or to have the DoTs not affect a cap if the DoT dealer is dead. Instead it completely ties a melee defender down (especially if he has no gap closer).
  7. So now the tactic will be have a tank start capping a point so a solo defender must attempt to kill him while a DPS attacker has free reign to nuke that defender down instead of me DoTing the tank, killing the DPS attacker then holding the tank at bay until help arrives. Brilliant.
  8. They really need to redo objective points for all the WZs except Civil War. I've capped every door and even disarmed a door in Voidstar only to receive 200 objective points. Why? Because I don't stand right on top of the door while defending is my only guess. On Huttball I've scored multiple times in game, passed the ball for scores and still received little to no objective points. It really sucks that no one can see how hard I've been working to help my team win when I do light damage some matches because I've been more concerned about the objective of the WZ that I receive no credit for doing according to the stat sheet.
  9. It doesn't queue the WZ until it's 8 vs 8, but if people don't accept the invite there is not always a line to draw from for more players to equal out sides. That being said, they need to get rid of the speeder ride in VS for defense, because it can screw a team over if people accept their invite late. I'm all for allowing people to choose which WZ's they want to opt out of. However, to say the strategy to win Huttball is just which team has the most Sorc/Sage and Guardian/Jugg is completely naive. Vanguard/PT are great at pulling the ball carrier away to prevent scores. Commando/Merc are good at blowing people up and controlling the middle, as are Gunslinger/Sniper. Operative/Scoundrel are good at blowing up the ball carrier or healers and stealthing into the endzone for passes. Shadow/Assassin are great ball carriers if they are tank specced, alright if they aren't, and great for healer harrassment. Marauder/Sentinel is good for destroying ball carriers and healers and preventing chaining. Every class has it's role to play, and even with a non-optimal group you can win if you have people who know the best role for them to fill. I've been on teams that have absolutely dominated with no Guardian/Jugg and only a Sage/Sorc or two versus teams that were stacked Sage/Sorc and Guardian/Jugg because we had players who knew which role they were best at filling to cover our disparity.
  10. How much you want to bet the OP's CC break was on CD because they wasted it on the ops sap ability?
  11. Umm... no. The reason one side was given the the tenacity buff was to even out the fact that one team was outnumbered. You are thinking TB. On my server, our Republic PvPers are much better than the Imperial PvPers. Most of the PvPers Republic side that I talked to said they chose their side because they wanted to have shorter queues for WZs without always getting Huttball. Hardcore good PvPers seem to not care about faction as much as eliminating downtime, so Republic draws more good PvPers it seems.
  12. FPS is more of a measure of hardware capability than latency. While less than 50 FPS is considered poor performance like you said, the fact of the matter is no one actually notices a difference between numbers like 50 FPS compared to 120 FPS. Most humans eyes won't see any choppiness at about 30 FPS (which TV stations send their signals at). However, this is moot since, as stated, FPS doesn't measure lag. If you get lag, your FPS can plummet, but you can still have high FPS with terrible lag too. There was one patch that I was getting terrible lag spikes, jumping from 40ms up 4000ms. My FPS never dropped, but I was able to run through mobs without aggroing them for for a good ten seconds before my latency normalized. Of course I actually pulled the mobs, but I would never had known if my latency hadn't dropped back to normal.
  13. I play on an ASUS gaming laptop too, and i get 60-80 FPS consistently. That's with high everything and shadows on. I've personally noticed the lag get better with each patch since launch (it's now about the same as it was during beta for me). Many of my guildies have had issues with their computers handling the game though, so I might have just got lucky.
  14. I've seen many WoW and LoL names, as well as the Star Wars joke names. There's someone on my server with the legacy name "Forcekin" which gave me a chuckle. I'm also rather fond of my Imperial guild name, <Corellian Credit Farmers>.
