  1. Currently, it's hard to tell empirically if certain AC's/talent trees are superior to another (in terms of overall DPS anyway and not burst/etc for PvP type stuff). We don't have combat logs yet, and until we do, it's really all sort of speculative. From what I understand, BioWare intends to balance all classes to be within a small fraction of each other for other overall DPS -- granted you're doing the "proper" rotation. So my advice would be to just play whatever you enjoy.
  2. You're right about balance. I don't know what I was thinking. Brain fart, I guess. However, I was just trying to point out that class roles are more based on talent tree selection than AC.
  3. Kinetic Combat is a tank tree. Infiltration is a melee DPS tree. Balance is a ranged DPS tree. It's not so much about the class as it is the tree you pick.
  4. As GFreeGamer stated, Jedi Shadows bloom kind of late. A lot of people who played during Beta had said they were going to do the first 20-30 levels as Balance and then switch to Infiltration (those who were ultimately going to be Infil anyway). Infiltration becomes quite good once you get talents like Masked Assault and Circling Shadows. There's some other good ones down the line, but those 2 really help with not depleting your Force pool so quickly. If you remain Infiltration spec'd (I'm assuming you are playing Infiltration), don't forget to use Saber Strike. It does diddly for damage, but it beats having empty GCDs. And, since it hits 3 times, you have a fairly high chance to proc Infiltration Tactics (if its CD hasn't already been activated).
  5. You get Shadow's Respite (+energy regen) from breaking stealth for 6 seconds. 1) Stealth up to a mob/pack/whatever 2) Attack 3) 6 seconds later, hit Black Out 4) 6 seconds after that, hit Force Cloak 5) Attack to break Stealth This is assuming you have Masked Assault. Which you should by level 26 when you get WB.
