  1. Imperial Agent has a superior story in most cases, both Light and Dark. I will break it down briefly from my own personal experience. I played a LS Chiss Operative in CBT and am currently playing a LS Cyborg Scoundrel as comparison. For IA, if you play as LS, generally your choices will make you out to be a conniving ******* and all around conman. You will deceive and manipulate people throughout your story for answers. If you play as DS, you simply murder and torture your way through the story for answers. Playing LS was a lot more fun for me. For Smuggler, if you play as LS, your choices generally end up being "I will do it if the price is right". So you are not necessarily a "goody-two-shoes", but you do not murder anyone in cold blood for your decisions in addition to staunchly defending the Republic. If you choose DS, you murder the crap out of anyone who stands in your way of vengeance and could care less if the Republic crashes and burns. As for the stories, Smuggler simply comes down to...my ship was stolen by some scumbag and I want to get revenge on him. Whereas, the IA is all about espionage and being an all around ****** Super Spy for the Empire. I am only playing Scoundrel because I enjoyed Operative during Beta, but play Republic on Live. If Imperial Agent was playable on Republic, I would be playing that in a heartbeat. The IA story is just that good. All of this is my opinion, but you asked for it, so there you go
  2. Vanguard and Powertech can then Grapple people up to the top as well. In fact, I have been debating parking my Vanguard on top of it and charging people for an easy lift, hah.
  3. Hahah, good luck with that! You can probably data mine the game files and dig it up from the script if you would like, but that would take some pretty advanced programming knowledge and a great decompiler. How about, you try it for yourself and enjoy it? I played a LS Sith Pureblood Juggernaut to 50 during CBT and it is still my favorite experience/story in the game.
  4. Basically when the point comes down to facing her Master, you have to make a choice of killing him (DS) or showing him the error of his ways and corruption by the Dark Side (LS). Obviously, you called him a hypocrite Jedi that draws from the Dark Side and is being corrupted from within (LS). This is the same decision I made when I played my LS Sith Juggernaut in CBT. To this day, after playing for ~6 months in CBT, Jaesa is the only "neutral" companion I have ever had. When I say neutral, I mean that you can CHOOSE her alignment. If you choose all of the DS choices in her presence (prior to getting her), she will be inherently Dark. If you spare her master and show her the error of his ways, she will be inherently Light. To this day, she is still my favorite companion for this very reason. She seems to be the only companion I have encountered so far that actually hinges and molds to your decisions. I just finished a Vanguard to 50 and all my companions are all predetermined Lightsiders save for Tanno Vik whom is just a renegade "blow stuff up, ask questions later" kind of guy. However, like all of my companions Tanno Vik is still loyal to the Republic and hates me when I execute people (I am Tier 5 Dark).
  5. Nar Shadaa, it is in the same High Security Lockdown/Network Access combination. You need to get the one in High Security first and obtain the Slot Decoder to unlock the Datacron in Network Access. I played Imperial all through Beta and was actually one of the first people to figure this one out and was completely lost when I started playing Republic. The reason for this is that Republic players do not go to these areas until the Bonus Series later on in your 30s. Not to mention everything looks vastly different to me from the Republic perspective. Whereas, Imperials go through these areas normally when they first arrive on Nar Shadaa in their early 20s.
  6. Read Goshee's Newcomers Guide stickied at the top of this sub-forum. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=612 It explains all of the stat breakdowns in a section. Essentially there is a core stat for every class and endurance being their secondary (unless you are a Tank). Advanced classes behave the same way and are simply branches of their base class. This is regardless of their class role or talent specialization. Trooper/BH (and ACs): Aim/Endurance (or Endurance/Aim for Vanguard/Powetech Tank) Smuggler/IA (and ACs): Cunning/Endurance Consular/SI (and ACs): Willpower/Endurance (or Endurance/Willpower for Shadow/Assassin Tank) JK/SW (and ACs): Strength/Endurance (or Endurance/Strength for Guardian/Juggernaut Tank)
  7. This. The Tooltip is unclear and needs to be reworded. It is essentially designed to negate the movement speed impairment during Stealth.
  8. Currently there is no way to change your hairstyle or any other aesthetics about your character for that matter once you click the "Play" button on the character creation screen.
  9. You can try and reset the quest by clicking the "Reset" button in your quest log after highlighting the quest you are having problems with. Most likely this is just another Bug that is supposedly getting fixed in v1.1. I still have class quests and quests I was unable to reset/abandon or complete from various planets on my 50 Vanguard. TLDR: Working as intended and/or bugged, will be addressed in v1.1.
  10. because Light Armor has a lower multiplier than Medium. It is essentially a simple mathematical equation that takes the base armor class and multiplies it by the armor rating of the armor mod in the item. Medium Armor has a higher base multiplier. You will have the same stats, but less armor.
  11. I too purchased the CE, but I absolutely refuse to use physical keys (especially with all the problems they were having at launch). However, for people that do, they generally never take it far away from their desk. The fact that it is a key fob gives the bad impression of actually putting it on the keyring you use every day, increasing your chances of losing it. I would highly suggest downloading the iPhone/Android Security Key App. I waited out for the Android version and it works perfectly fine. This way you will never have to worry about losing the key or the battery dying, of course unless both scenarios happen to your phone. It is also easy to transfer the key between phones if you change phones. I always have my phone with me, so if for whatever reason I am wanting to access the website (as I am at work right now), I will have my security key with me on the go. Assuming when using the physical security key you never let it leave your computer's side. As to your actual question...a key essentially generates a series of numbers that unlock your account for access for roughly a 30 second window. During that time your password and the randomly generated number are required to access the account. This helps circumvent people that happen to have your password, security questions, or both by you being the only person to possess the security key within that 30 second window. Once you apply the key to your account it will always be required to log into both the website and also the game.
  12. On the server/character select screen, there is a small menu in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. It will have options (preferences), credits, and of course the cinematic movies for your viewing pleasure.
  13. Imperial Agent: Fixer Twelve: "I used to be a Cipher Agent, until I took a Lightsaber through the lung." Jedi Knight: A New Padawan Quest on Tython When you are dealing with the talking, force-sensitive Flesh Raider you are given two choices: (LS) Take him back to the Jedi Temple for training or (DS) We don't tolerate abominations such as yourself. Select the DS option and watch as hilarity ensues. I have never laughed so sadistically in my entire life. Seriously people, if you are playing Imperial, you owe it to yourself to get a JK/Consular up to about Level 6 to do this quest.
  14. SW was my only 50 I ever had in CBT. It is still my favorite story today, after getting my Trooper to 50. If you want some interesting twists and turns...try playing a LS Sith Pureblood Warrior. There is quite a bit of dialogue variation tied to your race in addition to your alignment.
  15. It is even better if you choose the DS option Hilarity will ensue, I promise.
