  1. Personally, I have noticed a few things that strike me as odd. I may be tailing an enemy at around 10,000m trying to get in range for missiles, and then all of a sudden, they vanish without any notification that they were destroyed. Just vanish into open space. Or occasionally I'll see someone zip almost instantly to another are of the map, like they went through a wormhole. Or sporadic zips which don't really go anywhere, they just keep them completely away from range. I've also chased gunships and Fighters in my fully upgraded Dive, and I ran out of engine power whereas they continued on at full speed. Not possible unless there is a hack creating unlimited engine power. Then of course there's always the mysterious death by an enemy when nothing is within 20,000 meters of your ship. And the instant death from a scout with full shields up. That always makes me raise an eyebrow. Nothing in a scouts arsenal has the power to destroy a Pike with one shot. Especially when there's no missile warning beforehand. There are definitely cheats at play in this game. Lastly, I have recently been noticing a guy on my server Ebon Hawk, named "Aimbot". I've played at least 10 matches with him and his score and board position is always the same every match. 15-25 kills, 15-25 assists, 0 deaths, #1 position every match. I made a point to look at his stats ever since I saw his score the first time. Always the same.
  2. Role playing, in the sense of what it's meant to be, has very little to do with the actual PVE world. You can make it as such, but really it gives you the opportunity to leave the game story and create your own. You won't be limited by joining an RP server, but RP server populations are typically smaller than PVE and PVP servers due to less players over all partaking in role playing. What a RP server will provide you that other servers do not, is a community of people who, while playing, envelope themselves into their character and their game. There are also chat rules most RPers live by and most of them will be happy to help you with them. Basically, you're acting out a story. You're character creation doesn't end when you choose a name and start the game, it only begins. After that, you'll need to create an entire character bio, and become that character in game. And other people will be doing the same. It can truly make for the best MMO gaming experience possible. The game no longer becomes finding a friend to grind out quests, but creating your own, and ultimately writing your own story as you go along. If you're just playing the game normally, doing your own thing, grinding out quests and talking to people as if they're sitting behind a computer screen, then an RP server isn't for you. That is not role playing. That's just playing.
  3. What's going on with this BitRaider crap? For 4 hours my computer was unusable due to BitRaider hogging ALL of my memory and processor. It would literally take over a minute for anything I clicked to recognize the click. This is unacceptable. Especially when BitRaider takes EVEN LONGER to verify game files than before you had it. What's it using all the memory for if not doing a faster job? Secondly, now my patch download times have nearly quadrupled as well. I've literally been at this upgrade/patch process for over 12 hours and I'm still sitting on 86%. I believe I'll be lifting my subscription if the next patch becomes this much of a pain in my ***. BitRaider is a terrible program that doesn't work any faster than any other program of it's kind, yet kills a computer's performance while it's running. I must say that the program is appropriately named, consider it does RAID every BIT of memory you have. I'm running 8 GB of memory. If I can't use my computer while BitRaider is running... this game will be removed and my sub will go with it.
  4. Not sure if more planets would make much difference. The mistake I've noticed is that the playing area of all the planets isn't modeled after MMORPG's before it, its modeled after single player console games... as in there's really no ability to explore. You pretty much have to stick to the beaten path b/c there's unpassable walls boxing you in everywhere you go. Make the planet areas bigger. There's no reason our usable planet space is ~2 square miles. And open them up a bit so we can actually get off the road!
