  1. Well, this comes from the fact that some complete sets also don't seem to match well. For some armor sets, the chest might be one color, but the rest might have some other hues. Best thing to check is to look up the other armor pieces on a website. So I guess that is not entirely a bug, but due to the fact that some sets seem to be designed by my 3 year old niece using crayons to fill in the colors (also going out of the borders). The head thing is totally different. I matched everything to my chest (Mercenary's Foundry) and it turned shiney gold, except the helmet, which is still the same Columi red with a weird mohawk. Since I have the Foundry helmet as well, I know that is not how it should look and it must be a bug (or perhaps they hoped everyone turned off their head slot?) The bug is probably even related to the 'hide headslot' feature as that is the only difference between the head slot and the other slots, and the headslot is the only one not willing to cooperate in the cool look offensive.
  2. I logged in today and was excited about the matching pieces as well (as I love the Mercenary Foundry set, but never been able to find the legs or boots). Sadly, when I unified to my chest, the helmet didn't change. Not a biggie I thought, because I have the helmet. Except then I loose my set bonuses, since even though you can now remove armoring mods from armor pieces, they dont yet have the set bonus attached. If the helmet could also be changed with the Unify to chest (which seems quite logical, this must be a bug) then people can change their appearance by just equipping a chest piece they like and having the other armor pieces set pieces. That would create a lot more variety in gear looks. I think that's a pretty good scenario. So please fix this bug!!!
  3. I want to replace my droid with HK-47 and talk about blowing stuff up, I love that droid. My own droid is wimpy
  4. My first character was a Bounty Hunter (he's my mian and 50 now). Leveling him to 50, I found it odd that I always lagged so much in the number of companions I got compared to the Sith characters. I only got my 2nd crew member at the very end of tatooine (not counting droid). I am now leveling an Imperial Agent and found that my second companion is on ALDERAAN. that's probably around level 30. So why oh why did they make it so that some character gets their second crew member on Balmorra (sub level 20) and some people have to wait TEN MORE LEVELS for theirs? That's simply stupid. It means that the IA is stuck with a tank companion for over HALF the game! Not to mention they are much, much more slower with leveling up crew skills as a result as well, as the other classes can send out 2 companions and still have another one to do quests with. Yeah I know it will balance out at 50, but that is not really the point, is it. I can understand that some classes are lagging 1 planet on their companion, but 2 is already too much. the BH and IA should get their second companion on Nar Shadaa, not Tatooine or (lol) Alderaan. 'Yeah but the storyline required it', then they should have made it differently to fit in different characters. There is not much to do now really, I don't see Bioware changing the entire companion line-up. So basically the already inpopular empire classes are screwed in this regard. So people should just keep that in mind when making an alt; if you just want to play your alt sometime and use him mainly for crafting. DONT ROLL A BH OR IA, because it will take you forever to get the companions so you can do the crew skills efficiently.
  5. I have this issue a lot as well. Although I try to deal with it by not choosing the closest spot, it would be welcome if they changed it.
  6. Hmm I didn't even know they healed. I completed the questline last night and found it to be pathetically easy. Did they change it recently then? I am healing specced (although I do triage healing and dps as much as I can on single player stuff) and used Torian. CC one, nuke the other, was done in a minute. Maybe Torian interrupts? I don't know, but maybe it's worth looking into.
  7. I don't agree with the OP, I am 1500 dark side and 9200 lightside. There are dark side choices that make sense from a BH perspective, but a lot of the dark side ones are what to do with people which your contract is NOT for. Aka how far do you go with your collateral damage. If you have your target, imo your contract is done. If they want innocent bystanders dead, they have to pay (a LOT) extra. As far as I am concerned the contracts should be to the letter, but anything else is fair game. I'm not going to blow up civilians because they happen to be walking on the sidewalk where mr X lives. Although I do wish declining quest would net you some XP as well. It should be a choice to take on a contract and sometimes I took a quest simply because it gives xp and credits, while RP wise I should have declined. What I mean is that there should be more incentives to choose whatever side you want. This is also true for alignment, I think it's really bad to have trinkets pigeonhole you into dark or light. Neutral is a perfectly fine view as well. So I'd like to see items which say 'forbidden for light 1 AND dark 1' (on lower levels, on higher levels, it will be more like 'forbidden to light 3 and dark 3', as everyone will have a little bit of deviation)
  8. Since that is a gated quest with pre-requisites, I'm guessing no, you need to do the entire line of quests. Here is a picture of the golden (Mercenary's Foundry) set that drops in Boarding Party. I'm missing the Greaves and Boots, so any info on that is appreciated. (in another thread they said that the Greaves drop in Boarding Party, but no confirmation on that), http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/405/screenshot2012011205571.jpg/
  9. Not all of them. The helm is from Spilling Chemicals (first area). The Pants and chest are from the east area heroics (not sure if it was the Pirates one or the Father one, definately not the one in the area above that which needs you to kill yedi and collect artifacts, that heroic 4 man rewards orange blaster/rifle for companion). These are NOT the bonus missions The gloves and boots are also NOT from the bonus missions. I completed the entire bonus series, didn't get them and then did all the other Taris quests I had in my log. You get them from one of the main quest lines which have you follow Thana, the Sith Apprentice, around Taris. The quests at the very end of this line are the gloves (2nd to last, need to kill a Cathar) and boots (last, blow up a spaceport). These quest give the choice of 1 commendation, the set item or a green lockbox. So I am pretty sure nearly everyone will have chosen the set item. So if you don't have them yet, don't be discouraged, you probably need to finish more quests. I know this, because I spent the last 3 hours getting the set from scratch. Although I personally prefer the golden version which is gotten (mostly?) from the Flashpoint Boarding Party. Except that I don't know who or what drops the pants and boots of that set (I made a thread about that a while ago, the set is called Mercenary's Foundry Gloves etc). I'll see if I can host a picture of my upper body (since I have helm, chest and gloves) of that set in a few days.
  10. Well the chest is from the first boss (the droid), the helm is from the yedi with his 2 healer companions (third?) and the gloves are from the last boss (captain, medic and security officer). Where are the legs from? The bonus mission boss, or the second boss (the girl with the 2 droids)? And still no sighting of the boots so far... although I did read that maybe the first boss of Foundry drop them, but he also drops a BH chestpiece (different set), so I'm not sure if that is true... if anyone knows, please enlighten me
  11. I have made well over 100 earpieces by now and only got a proc twice. And the second time it said 'recipe already known', and it was the worst of the 5 possible combinations that I got. That was almost a week a go on my 25th or so craft. Now 75 crafts of nothing. I don't mind spending lots of materials on recipes, but it needs to not be random. I don't like having to spend 2 million credits to get a recipe while some lucky bloke gets it with his first RE. That's simply unfair, not to mention it totally ruins my fun when I spend all my companions getting mats for almost a week now and I *still have nothing to show for it*. I could have spent all that time on something else and make more money and probably have a better and more fun time. If I had known this in advance I had definitely done that. But there is no warning anywhere in game saying 'warning, you are about to waste 20 days of gametime getting the stuff you want, and we will not give you the recipe you need, you will get one you don't need instead, have fun!'. They need to make it a guaranteed proc at 10 green) and then you get to choose which advanced recipe you want. From green to blue it should take 20 max. The second green of the same level you want a recipe from takes 20 RE's and the second purple takes 40 blues. Third one 40 greens and 80 blues. This will ensure that recipes take a lot of effort to get (and you will have to specialise and choose your recipes) and you can work towards them instead of hoping on the lightning to strike you.
  12. Anyone? I seem to think that they are in the data files, but just are not dropping (and I think more 'item sets' have this issue, as they are called to the instance, like Red Reaper Shock Boots etc, but there aren't even enough bosses in those instances to drop all pieces, provided no boss has 2 of one set on their drop list). Anyone know if this is true or not?
  13. Heya, I'm looking to complete my set of Mercenary's Foundry gear as I really like the look of it. I got the Helm, Chest and Gloves from the Boarding Party flashpoint. I am assuming the other 2 peaces drop from The Foundry, but even after 20+ runs, I've never seen them on any boss (first boss drops a heavy armor chestpiece that is not of the Mercenary Foundry set, so I am assuming he has only that as a heavy armor drop, second boss seems to almost always drop a blue, not oranges (saw one a few times though) and the last boss, never seen the set either). So did anyone spot these 2 items? If so, what bosses do they drop from? Thanks in advance.
  14. It should be obvious seeing the activity in this subforum that there are some things terribly wrong with the crafting systems and economy of this game. First, let's discuss what is wrong; 1. The crafting system is not satisfying. the things you can make at end level are not only replaceable by commendation gear, they are replacable very fast. And the crew skills do not provide a consumable 'best' boe buff that can be marketed. When you look at the market, you can see that the only things that sell are ship mods, and those are on my server already declining in price rapidly because they don't need replacements. There are several other items that can be crafted at max level, but as indicated they are easily replaceable. Even worse, these epic pattern require reverse engineering. A system that while new and original, is not really recommended. The idea of 'randomly' getting a recipe is frustrating when you spend hundred of thousands of credits on getting a recipe. Especially when there are 15 epic recipes for each base green item, so you might not even get the one you want. Even worse, searching the market is a nightmare as there are *so* many versions, you really need to look carefully what you buy. As it is, many people are just saving credits and not doing professions, and who can blame them. 2. Getting credits is easy, but there are not a lot of things to spend them on. Repairs is one, and vanity items like the 1,5 million speederbike, but there isn't much gear that you could want that's for sale with credits. Or any other thing that might serve as a credit-sink. The things you buy on the market are usually low price because they aren't that good compared to commendations/drops anyway. This inflation will be bad in the long run, where some people will sit on billions of credits. When things finally change for professions or the gold sinks, they will be able to corner the market fairly easy and keep an influence on the economy. The mission system (looks a bit like that space MMO) is nice and works really well. Now you need to change the crafting and provide better credit-sinks, or the economy is doomed. I also don't know why you didn't see this coming or had backup plans. You could have seen this miles ahead. Testers (should) have reported this ages ago. I have some suggestions; Cybertech - enchant gloves BOE, with choices like missile launcher (ala BH), heal pod or some other buffs. Also add spaceship modules for a GTN access and Mailbox on your private ship. I can imagine many people wanting those. Artifice - special lightsaber enchants BOE; procs, damage, etc. Also more lightsaber colors. Relics that change skills (less cost on skills, more effect, etc) Armortech - special chest & pants enchants BOE; When hit more defense, when damage on proc more damage etc. Also able to change to appearance of an item using a spray can or something. This is consumed on use (so this can keep selling when people get new gear) Armstech -special blaster enchants BOE; procs, damage, etc. Blaster sounds depending on barrel or something. This crew skill should also have relics like artifice, but they should each have they specialty. Maybe the armstech ones focus on primary stats Aim, Cunning, Endurance, and Artifice on Willpower, Endurance and Strength. Biotech - special implants enchants BOE. Change re-usuable items into repairable items (use credits to repair, make it a lot; credit-sink. This means you dont have to keep farming mats etc to keep using the item, but it's also not free). Also enchants on boots - coatings (special treatment; damage resistance, faster walking etc) Synthweaving - see armortech All crew skills should also make things to put in your ship, social things. Artifice can add some history things, armortech some more plating, armstech a nicer armory, cybertech some weird tech thingy in engineering, biotech some plants etc etc. And make RE a systematic proc; after 5 green DE's of the same item, you get to choose a blue recipe. The second time you do that, it takes 10 greens to get a blue recipe etc (keep doubling it). From blue to epic, first one takes 10 reverse engineers, second one 20 etc. This will make sure that people are specialized in a few recipes and not in all. It will also make it so people know when to expect recipes and can work towards them as a goal, instead of hoping for the lottery to hit them. It will also prevent people from getting a schematic which they already have (which is highly frustrating considering the cost). Remove the 'mastercraft' proc and give one of the crewskills (or more) the ability to add a slot to an item, so that people are not crafting 20 useless items which people won't buy (they want the best of the best anyway) and 1 that sells. These are only suggestions. The most important thing is that urgency is key; fix the system while people are still playing and liking the other aspects of the game. People need to like the crew skills to keep farming mats and keep the economy going. I'm already hearing people who say they won't bother for their epic recipes anymore as they spent 500k getting a recipe they want and they didn't get it (and they should have bought the item from a lucky bum who got the recipe on his first go). I hope that within a few weeks I will see some patch notes with the above suggestions in it.
  15. I can only speak from slicing, but there are no purple lockboxes. Highest is blue ones, which for slicing, you seem to get once every 20-25 missions
