My issue is that I was able to raid in my EWH gear, and gear up for pve that way, however, pvers felt it was unfair which I understand 100%, but then I have to ask why is it now fair pvers can be competitive in pve gear? I like the the change overall more people to play with in pvp, I just cannot help but shake the double standard feeling. Bioware should either make it so PvP gear can be used in pve as an entry / mid tier set like pve gear can be used as a entry / mid tier set in pvp.

Just make it so PvE gear is useless in PvP. If they had a problem with people in WH/ EWH doing pve content, I have a problem with pvers doing pvp content in pve gear.

How do people feel about arenas? The idea of 2 v 2 , 3 v 3 etc team death match style pvp does sound like fun. Do you think SWTOR pvp can handle small scale team death matches for a new competitive aspect that could foster a decent ranked community due to not needing 8 players of a certain class. Or do you feel arenas would destroy PvP and PvE in SWTOR because of balance issues. Do you think we will ever get arenas or is objective pvp all we can expect.

Honestly that is too much, It is about keeping the realms of competitive pvp and causal pvp in different spheres. Way I see it just like in WoW arena, you would not bring your 1500 rated friend into you 2400 3 v 3 group would you? You would either make a 2 v 2 with them, or in my case jump on a different toon. Do not get me wrong, I would love for them to make ranked warzones viable, but not much they can do, the problem with ranked imo is a community thing, trying to field 8 players that are skilled and have the right class make up / gear sets for different builds depending on the warzone is nearly impossible for many servers. Thus turning 50 pvp into the competitive realm for many servers, and lowbie for the causal. Is it 100% fair, no, but did it work to a certain extent, yes.

I hope with time things balance out, like people have mentioned in the thread. Well only time will tell.

I cannot force them to improve, it is not my place. I cannot force them to key bind, spec right, call incs, use the right weapon etc... Nevertheless, they are kind and fun people, they are the type of players that rolled hunter in wow just to collect pets, or play games on easy to blow through just for the story. That is how they have fun, and that is why I am not in a guild with them anymore, I joined a pvp guild so I can play the way I would like, without getting stressed out. Having those two worlds was nice.

As I said hard to explain, but 50 pvp played a lot different from lowbie pvp. I disliked lowbie pvp for this reason. I loved facing 50 premades where civil wars became a battle for the middle node, I mean how many people do you know rerolled alts just to dick around in lowbie pvp, for some 50 pvp was just too much, and that is the case for some of my friends 50 pvp was too much for them, so they rerolled alts for the story and pvped for the fun of it. I am talking about people who barely break 100k dmg these are the people I am talking about. I would not bring a player that could barely break 100k dmg with me before in the 50 bracket, lol I am not going to start now. Makes sense? lol once again sorry hard to explain

What I am getting at is. 50 pvp use to be the place where I could play with my competitive friends, and lowbie was the place where I could play with my RP / have fun it is game type friends. Now that they made it so 30-54 bracket, I really do not have a place to enjoy pvp with my friends that suck at the game. Hard to explain but, now I feel as if I group with my friends who suck at pvp now, I am only hindering the group because of the skill level of those who have dealt with the 50 meta for so long. I love it, but I still feel bad for telling them, I am going to pvp with my pvp friends.

That is the thing though it was a place for noobs to have fun. It was the place where I could group with guildies who suck at pvp but are great people so the mindless fun of lowbie pvp was a place for us to hang out. Now I honestly cannot bring myself to play with them in the 30-54 bracket since I know for a fact they will **** up big and fighting premade 50+ groups one mistake can cost you the match. I think taking away the noob heaven was a bad move thrusting people into the 50 meta at level 30 is a bad move and sort of ruins it for those that like to group up and have fun with players who are sub-par. I am having a blast when I play with my friends that enjoy / know how to pvp, but I cannot bring myself to group with friends that enjoy but suck balls at pvp. Telling you this will ruin friendships. I mean in 10-49 even a baddie could shine.

Does anyone else miss the relaxing nature of lowbie pvp? Just kick back and dick around with odd ball specs, or comps with friends, or most of all enjoying pvp with friends who are not very good. I mean as it stands now I cannot group with my friends much since they are not great pvpers, and I enjoy winning so if they make a mistake that costs us the match I am liable to snap at them. I do think 50-54 should have their own bracket, and leave 10-49 the way it was. This is not from a face rolling POV, but the POV of someone who wishes to play with friends who suck monkey balls at the game and not have to deal with the woes of 50+ pvp with them. Competitive pvp ruins friendships.

Gear should not play a role at all, and I have Min / Maxed EWH gear. This is not pve, it is pvp gear should be cosmetic. Question you have to ask yourself, do you need a gear gap advantage to play well?

Just wondering, are people really fighting for something so silly? I mean really? Seriously? This is really just a massive troll thread right? Look at it this way, maybe some dislike the fact their voice changes with certain headgear, so they throw in a few that don't change your voice! Weeee!
