YES! Exactly.

There are absolutely things that Bioware can do to properly incentivize us to play competitively rather than cooperatively or having us chase after boxes.

While you have an optimistic attitude and I appreciate that, I do not agree that all of these issues have the potential to be fixed. Open world pvp is skewed beyond belief in a way that requires serious fundamental change to overcome. However, thanks for the glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel. I do not want to simply quit, I hope for a quality game that I can enjoy playing. However, if they do not fix these issues, I want my da** money back.

This game seems more like an exercise in how much bull you can put up with before you want to break you keyboard. Ilum === drive around hoping for some boxes that aren't camped to high H*** by no-life slobs. PvP daily === Lose most PUGs, glitch out of most wins, or just don't have them count towards daily. Rank system === either play legit and be behind the curve or exploit the numerous glitches that seem encouraged by the CS team. I play MMO's for the PvP and this game is only fun when I'm a pvE champion. That's decidedly lame. Can I has my monies back?

Have any devs actually BEEN to Ilum? I mean, have they actually tried enjoying themselves within the digital planet's environment? Specifically the westernmost portion of Ilum. you know, the PVP zone? These daily/weekly quests feel more like punishment for liking this game than ... *ahem* groundbreaking innovative PvP environments that are dynamic and create a world influenced by the player. Just a cry for our game developers to take this fantastic game and give the higher-end PvP the attention that it deserves. That is all. Thanks.

There lies the rub. I really can't see a balanced way to fix this issue without a complete mathematics overhaul to the combat system.

Thanks for your input. I definitely understand what you mean about killing two birds with one stone and grabbing the tank PvP gear. I definitely prefer tanking to dps in Hardmodes since we don't output enough dps unless outrageously geared to beat the enrage timers.

So we are all well aware of how little our War Leader's set affects our survivability in PvP, making it highly undesirable as a set. So let's say I take vindicators while still playing immortal spec (which is my preference for utility in warzones). I have good cooldowns for survivability and do a *little* bit more DPS. What happens when things change and the defensive stats are useful, did I just screw myself over by trying to adapt to an already flawed balance system? Any thoughts or insight would be very helpful, as I'm currently sitting on my champ tokens for fear of choosing the wrong set. *Edit* TL;DR = By introducing flawed mechanics into our itemization, SWTOR is discouraging me from enjoying PvP gear for fear of being punished down the road when they actually introduce balance to mitigation.

Not all tanks can put out as much damage as powertech/vanguard specs. Enjoy not being broken.

The biggest issue I see here is the delay of Bioware's approach to this problem I'm a juggernaut, if i choose dps gear now to maximize my potential in PvP (since we don't do nearly as much damage as other tank specced AC's) while most defensive stats are useless and then they change it, does that mean i then have to go back through the process of praying to the RNG god for more PvP gear to get a defensive set? I find myself hesitant to even turn in my tokens for PvP gear until we hear anything back, and that sucks. I don't want to be retroactively penalized by them fixing a system that's clearly broken.
