To specifically address some of the concerns I am seeing in the thread. First, the 4v4 Warzone Arenas are not scaled down versions of the current 8v8 maps. They are a brand new Warzone type (deathmatch) on their own brand new maps! Note: Plural! You will see more than one map at launch.
As some have said, this is not the only thing coming in 2.4. We have stated before in this thread the purpose of this is to give you an overview, it does not have every detail. Some of your other concerns...such as queuing for Ranked, will be addressed along with 2.4. We are still working on details and 2.4 is still a ways off. We will continue to release information as we lock things in.
I want to add on a personal note that one of the things I have enjoyed most over the past month or two at work is our twice a week Warzone Arena playtests. I am someone who primarily PvP
Yes finally arena's are coming! Now add 2 or more new wz's, start season 1 for rwz, address the bugs in wz's and maybe make Ilum viable for wvw again and the patch will be an awesome pvp patch!

The option I'm batting for, merge all 3 servers. This will Solve population issues at least until paid transfer service (Or whatever is planned later down the track) where people whom are asking for transfers to American servers can do so. (I'm obviously not 100% sure, but I feel like they would be the minority of people who want SOMETHING done.) I also think that merging the servers into a PVE server and people experiencing the larger population that all 3 would bring may reduce the number of people wanting transfer to American server (Obviously you'll never really satisfy everyone though.) I do think that keeping an APAC server open will entice future APAC players to join the game and I know many players who will leave the game if the APAC servers are closed.

Understand it is a bit frustrating but bit of an overreaction to unsub and uninstall over a state of the game post.
As plenty of others have said unsubbing unfortunately does not make any difference to Bioware, they have people subbing and unsubbing everyday.
Perfect example being when they pulled the release of ranked the day before 1.3(?) and as a result subs plummeted from what was over 1 million subs. Did they suddenly address ranked to get a large revenue stream back? No.
I'm not too sure about imp side atm but from a pub perspective, the population is far from booming but certainly decent enough compared to what it has been in the past. Last 2 nights 84 and 94 50's peak time which is is far from ideal but you can pvp.
By now people should have realised that we just have to deal with it and hope they merge the servers eventually or worse case scenario wait till feb/march for server transfers and as a whole APAC community decide where to go.
Honestly, if you're not enjoying the game (and pvp) then unsub and go do something else that you get more enjoyment out of, plenty of us have done it and taken a break but returned with a bit of perspective and enjoy the style of pvp swtor has to offer.
I know what you're saying but it's a lot of things that lead to my decision. The state of the game post was the last straw, I mean they put SGR ahead of our issue which is absolutely pathetic imo.

I don't think i've come to the forums at any stage and actually been as insulting as you have been to people in the last few weeks... maybe the issue is yours. If your happy beating BOSS players then continue to do so and keep coming to the forums to tell everyone how easy it is... enjoy your game.
I don't know what his problem is but he has thrown these BOSS comments in a few threads already. I can't figure out why he is so butthurt.

Actually, the SWTOR expansion is not a ripoff.
Here is why.
The WOW Burning Crusade, the first and best WOW expansion, was $50 at retail when it came out.
Now if the planet Makeb is the size of the later planets in SWTOR, such as Voss, then it would be a good deal. This is because Voss is a little over one fifth the size of landmass as what was sold in the WOW Burning Crusade expansion. One fifth the size would make the $9.99 deal for subs a price at fair market value.
Also, increasing the level by five levels will also allow for more fun with hybrid talent tree builds. This was the true fun of WOW expansions until Blizzard foolishly destroyed hybrid builds.
Compare this xpac to MOP then we can have a discussion.

You're paying $10 for an update, this is far from an xpac. Every other MMO's xpac is like buying a new game. Even Cata as horrible as it was had 100000000 times more content than this even though it was more expensive. We are all being ripped off.
I do understand they haven't released all the info regarding the xpac but I won't hold my breath.

Purchasing the 'expansion' should up them to Preferred status, which unlocks a bit more for them than if they stay truly F2P.
Isn't that only if they pre order? I am not sure I'll have to check up on that.

F2P players have to pay more for less? Because they'll only get access to the story content without additional unlocks.
Now this would have been the perfect opportunity to make F2P the right way. New content for free to subscribers and a small cost for F2P players.
Then remove some of the retarded restrictions and continue making content instead of finding new ways to piss off your customers.
I'm a sub btw and I gotta say this is getting beyond a joke now.
