  1. I'm soaking lots of time/money into mats for crafted War hero gear trying to crit craft an augmented set as it is. These rolls are ridiculous. Let us RE them for parts even with diminishing returns you are just trying to create another useless credit sink. We already ground out Underworld Trading and armor mech while everyone else went biochem don't slap crafters in the face with this grindfest BS.
  2. Anyone stating a 20% armor and healing debuff isn't worth a global cooldown is seriously misinformed.

All in all I think it can be agreed upon that Assasin tanks are one of the tougher 1v1's when combating skilled players. however if you make use of CC's you should have no problem, the advantage of SS is that you have 2 knock backs at your disposal, as well as better burst, where as in DF you are more mobile (assuming you aren't getting force slow spammed) and can dot on the run, however you still have to stop to cast wounding shots. It come's down to preference of play style really.
  4. Darianth is on the right track- it is not the spec that will sway how well you knock out heavies- but how much accuracy you stack. DF is good for heavies that aren't attached to a pocket healer, but if they are expect to have your DOTs cleansed from time to time, luckily if you have nice try specced this will seldom be a problem, however SS is fine due to the insane burst and armor pen- in addition to accuracy in excess of 100% you reduce their chance to shield or deflect.

  6. To be perfectly honest I have a different experience with most melee classes. I know exactly what you are talking about when it comes to being focused by pretty much any melee we are sort of moot haha, however My strategy with Melee characters is always pretty much the same. With extra accuracy stacked my shots are more than enough to seriously hurt even kinetic shadows, especially since they usually never carry shield generators- however save your XS freighter flyby for them, and you can usually keep them off of you if you target yourself with it- remember, if they are infiltration specced, you will always have enough damage to destroy them with propper CC usage, and if they are kinetic specced, they are missing a melee stun, as well as the fact that their slow is crap if you can keep them at range.

  8. I agree completely. Because of the bolster system gunslinger math is just phenomenal pre 50. I agree that Gs has a bit of a flaw in their mechanism of damage dealing in pvp, post-50 because armor stacking and defense grow exponentially there while our damage remains the most easily mitigatible on the game unless you are DF spec- which is why they buffed DF. People need to remember the devs only see what you show them. The more people they get to play DF for instance, the more accurate data they gather. I think they are honestly aware of our damage deficiency, but are trying to take a methodical approach to tweaking it because our class is easily the most sophisticated to play.
  9. It's a bit too early to state a definite rotation for PvE- the changes to burst volley make a good difference to rotation now- and it also gives an energy regen buff. After running Denova last night, I can say I was bouncing erratically around CB, AS, and TS, with a a sab charge and quickshot here and there. energy management seemed easier in some cases- but it seems with the mechanic changes, your success with energy management is more random than not- I found at some times it was effortless to maintain > 60%, and other times I was empty and thinking ***? We will see as the week progresses, I'm still 31/7/3
  10. Hey thanks, just trying something new, the community response has been phenomenal. I really hope to see more confident gunslingers out there so we can get more attention from the Devs. Their information on us is limited merely due to the fact that there are so few people playing the class, so for accurate metrics, we need more people dropping sorcs in 5 hits!
  11. Seeing as how my OP states merely that "I wreck face in pvp," I don't know how you can disagree, however I'm happy you found a fit post-1.2, Send me a PM if you want to talk about some dynamics of the class.
  12. Yes, you are simply playing it wrong, the ONLY times I am ever killed by Ops is when im already at 30% HP. I save my Hunker down so when they pop me my rotation is as follows, Stun Break Pulse Detenator Plant Hunker Down XS fly by and if they are still dumb enough to be standing there- enter a DPS rotation CB, AS, QS, Root, and walk away. Dumb Ops (there are many) love to fill your resolve bar blowing every CC while you are in cover- use it to your advantage.
  13. Plaganerreza If you honestly think developers scour the English Forums for QQ posts in order to make an assessment on how to make class changes you are sadly mistaken. You can keep your misinformed opinions to yourself- however a bit of education for you- the In-Game metrics, as well as cooperative QA are how the devs get their information- If they listened to QQ posts like you will inevitably propagate, This game would be much worse off. The Forums are a community tool, not a soap box clearing a few more inches to the Developers in the sky. I am utilizing it as a community tool. TLDR you're a joke, and no amount of Crying to the Devs will make you any better.
  14. Skyrill, While most people would simply brand this with a L2P, This isn't the kind of thread I want to run here- so let me try to be constructive for you. It seems that although you know the class takes a certain skill level to play properly, you idolize the other classes for their tried-and-true potential. If that is the case- then by all means play another class as they are all equally equitable. However if you have a specific request or problem you need to surpass, I encourage you to ask me so I can help you take advantage of the MOST this class has to offer. I will not argue that Gunslinger has faced adversity since launch, and has needed attention since beta, however this works to a huge advantage as most people don't understand. So few people prefer the playstyle that they lack the skill or experience to counter us properly. Our advantages are clear and simple: 1. Range 2. Highest backloaded Burst dps. 3. All-Range CC's (melee, ranged, AOE)
