  1. i'm sorry i thought the womp rat thing would give away my sarcasm. See thats my epic skill, super sarcasm if i hadnt come along when i did the universe, which hasnt been fooled by sarcasm in a millennia, wouldnt have just been fooled.
  2. Im glad these posts hurt your feelings. nah im kidding but your above quote just cracks me up (its sense not sence or since )
  3. hahah this makes me think Bioware also had a part in writing the script for the movie Battleship. Good thing all those useful non bed ridden old world war 2 sailors were on that prehistoric fully operational battleship , in their swabby uniforms and ready to kill aliens! That was a close one. Earth was doomed if not for that...phew.
  4. hahah yeah guess the previous poster forgot that said simple farmboy had a battlefleet / armada with him AND had hax because he was a jedi and used the force for targetting. That farmboy also had yrs of experience shooting womp rats..which is the same thing as blowing up a deathstar..so theres that.
  5. hahahah exactly this crap right here. i never got that ever. Things like this can honestly be kept at lower lvls. After youve become epic or whatever you shouldnt be doing anything poop or animal tending related.
  6. I read you man. To me it sounds like something sucked the fun out the game for you. If youre playing a game and not having fun heh do what i did last night. Only 15 days left on the sub and not interested in f2p. Drop your concern in the forum, direct it at the devs (not at the know it alls) then stay and wait or go and wait.
  7. I understand that, but like my initial question goes: If I'm not going to give it to my Legacy on second 1. How will waiting 2 days change that? I'm most likely still not going to give it to my legacy. Not like the item will debate me vigorously and change my mind. hilarious reply you got there but yeah i think someone, who understood your question, answered it for you. Prob to head off cred card fraud / charge backs. Its a 2 day wait on items you get from lock boxes in team fortress 2 after you buy and use one of their .99 cent keys to open a box. i wondered what the point was myself in that game but the fraud answer makes the most sense.
  8. its not a bad thing. It just depends on how the game dev uses it. This same thing has been done for yrs in other games. Whether you show what you have a chance of getting from a box / pack or not its gonna depend on the dev. I mean if this is your first time seeing this it can leave a bad taste in your mouth ,but if you seen it , very successfully, before then you have a different opinon.
  9. Wow i'm sorry to hear that. I mean assumptions were made but I know i personally thought it was gonna be similar to the way Valve does it with Team Fortress 2. All items / gear in locked boxes are useful but theres a small chance youll get a really really good item. Their boxes are actually numbered and when you float your mouse over them you can see which single item out of say 8 in that series of locked box you have a chance of getting. I'm just gonna sit back and see how this cartel pack thing pans out
  10. Close. Those of us who were around a little after launch and paid a month sub got that title. I got my 50 commando , 22 BH and 12 sith jugg with 6 days early play time and Dec and refused to pay a sub so no founder title. Just wanted to clear that up.
  11. ok thatll be me and i would make sense that you havent met on because we left in january or so. Yeah i had a 50 commando by mid dec. and finished my class story story around then. if you were around then you wouldve seen the "you rushed through everything" hate posts. But yeah you wouldnt have met one because when you unsub you cant post in forums heh. i only just returned about 5-6 days ago after leaving at the top of January. Just wanted to answer your question real quick. And in all fairness i came back because during that gap stuff was added. I was able to jump right into HM's and after about 2 days of that did HM LI and 2 HM ops.
  12. I like your point but honestly just speaking of Wow ( and not blizzard all together) they dont have to move to anything else. Lose a million, lose 2 million subs at this point just speaking of that game and its age its still a cash cow. All the while Blizzard is working to top that cash cow with hopefully another hit. Also ,this has been said before, Wow still has an item mall on top of subs. Its greedy and insane but you know they arent making anyone buy from their item mall. One crappy $40 mount bought by one sucker in one month counts as more than 2 (almost 3) subs from that one sucker in one month without even counting the suckers actual sub. So in a way its not fair to compare swtor to Wow when it comes to subs, content , the price of a sub etc. Theyre still milking people with extremely outdated graphics. People quit and go back because of familiarity and disappointment with new releases. Theyre still in the process of dumbing that game down even more than it already is (especially with the new..bad..talent system) all the while charging for new "content" with 7+ yr old graphics. biggest scam going.
  13. This was my thought from when i first heard about f2p. If youre subbing you dont need cartel coins or cartel market. That type of thing is for the f2p'er so bioware gets revenue from them. I was always confused about threads where subbers were concerned with their number of cartel coins. Thats alot like double dipping. I mean go all the way f2p like sucessful f2p games which arent free to win but you do things faster if you pay with real cash. I dont care for that model but Nexon does a heck of a job with it.
  14. heh news to me that legacy names were no longer unique. That, imo, dilutes the whole legacy idea. I guess i was unsubbed when all that happened, but wow talk about continually listening to the wrong group of people. Heh well whatever..keep up the good work.
  15. I like the hassle part because thats just called putting work into your idea. Then the "not at all realistic" means this Revan guy shouldnt even exist. Darth Vader shouldnt even exist because you know he was a jedi (which is unrealistic) to begin with. Revan was even worse with all his side switching, but thats unrealistic
  16. Yep. Cant dispute this. When i first hit that planet in Dec last yr I couldnt count how many times i randomly died while riding the tram. Dunno and dont care if that ever got fixed. Did my fair share of blackhole dailies and ..yeah i got tired of being stuck on a black screen after hitting the shuttle to whatever destination.
  17. lol xD yeah get a better pc. everyone knows swtor is far beyond 3Dmark 11 duh I can play Planetside 2 Beta with a few hundred people running around shooting each other up on max ( at the moment) settings with no prob but i get on an instanced fleet with people just standing still and theres bouncing and jerking and loading heh. oh well.
  18. Oh no Bioware needs to add a ton of new servers! Wait. this has happened before. nvm
  19. If what you just said actually happens that would be pretty handy especially with the legacy re-skill in the field perk.
  20. I cant agree more. Ive said it before, its not necessary. Just because another game does it that way doesnt mean yours has too. Make Legacy more appealing, more useful. IMO legacy is almost like a lvl cap so to speak. Go a different direction. Build onto a Flashpoints and Ops already in game. Sure add more but why make so much content usless with a level cap. Bam youre 55...well now i have to wait for more level 55 instance content. ....waiting...waiting... Build on to a flashpoint. Oh nice now we can go in this direction for more story, a higher tier , etc. I dunno. I just dont see the reason in copying what another game already does.
  21. Pretty old swtor question. You wouldve missed it if you werent on forums back in Dec of last yr but yeah people asked and asked back then. Folks were disappointed that if you dont go mostly one way or the other you miss out on items. As you can see nothings changed since then. Cant say it wont but if 11 or so months isnt enough time then. Well i dunno. Even though i just got back after quitting in jan, its interesting to see the same questions and concerns that were brought up a little after launch back again. Its just that now the discussions are a whole lot lighter because of the lack of subscribers.
  22. On that note I never really understood needing to raise a level cap. Especially in this game which has the legacy deal. You work to get your purple sets, stick even better mods in em, augment em, then hey we're adding 5 more char. lvls? Why? Some are still lvling legacy. Why not add to legacy? Why not add more content period and worry about a lvl cap increase far off in the future? Meh just my 2 cents.
  23. If youre not that type of person ( which i am not) then you wont be able to understand people who dislike paying a sub but will happily dollar themselves in a months time to well over the cost of a sub. Team fortress 2 isnt an mmo ..true but i paid 20 bux for the game 5 yrs ago and only recently paid them anything extra because they added mann vs machine mode. The prices of whatever in the cartel market or whatever wont stop those type of people from dumping their money in it. Back to team fortress 2 who for yrs have had locked crates with items in them (items you cant craft or get as a drop in game) which cost you like .99 cents to buy a key and open. People cant wait to trade you for a crate so they can pay .99 cents for each key to open each box. its nuts to me. I got a buttload of items in that game just from yrs of play. Theres no reasoning behind it..imo..but theres no shortage of people willing to microtransaction $30 bux a month instead of paying $15. just some fyi TF2 generated $600,000 in one month for the japan tsunami relief effort just by selling a bundle of headgear. They made that much on one bundle of items..which do nothing for your character except make his head look cool.
  24. I for one am way past ready to blow people up in space while theyre not paying attention and mining asteroids. like in Eve online heheheh oh but then that guy may go get his guildies to load up in their ships and come after me because now i have a bounty on my head ! oh wait. that sounds like loads of fun. gimme
  25. When you mention a majority of players not doing flashpoints ( even if its stats from bioware) youre missing the fact that those players are gone. I was one of them. Made a 50 trooper with 6 days early play, and most of dec and i was all about missions and flashpoints. The other guys that joined me from other games were more into flashpoints than anything else. When you do them a few times..well you dont want to keep doing the same ones. Youre hoping they add more content. Youre hoping they support players who love their character and want to do more with that 1 character. That brings me to this. The assumption that those players would want to make alts. Almost like saying well youve done all you can do with that 1 guy..go do warzones with em. Other than that make 7 alts. I made 2 within that time and neither one made it to 25. Its like asking bioware to no longer try to get more subscribers or just give up on those hardcore type guys who also pay money. But instead ....hey we are all you have so dont try to do anything eye catching anymore.
