  1. In regards to reducing the effectivceness of Adrenals and Stims, I have never once thought to myself that these items are over powered or hold too much sway at the end game level of play. The effect of the stim is lost on death and provides minor advantages in their current state without tipping the scale too much in a confrontation, as player skill can still overcome the effectiveness of the stims. Secondly in regards to the Adrenals. These are 20 second items which provide good bang for buck but require timing to deploy effectively and again these do not tip the scales against a more highly skilled player in any significant way. I feel as though on the BioChem front Bioware aren't just barking up the wrong tree... they are in fact in the wrong forest barking up the wrong tree. For clarity sake I do not have biochem on a single character and I purchase my stims, adrenals and medpacks from other players. The issue with crafting at the moment is that the other crafting professions are completely irrelevant when it comes to end game play. I have mostly used ArmourMech to aid guild members in their leveling and to sell the odd piece on the GTN for increased income. I do not know what the solution to the crafting issue is but at the moment Bioware is failing to address the problem at the source, instead focusing on the only crafting profession which offers players anything at the end game. If Bioware decide to continue down this path all they will accomplish is rendering all the crafting professions as useless at endgame. In regards to addresssing PvP gear, and I am certain this will gather negative comments, but the cold hard reality is that expertise was a mistake. PvP in any MMO should be based on player skill, not who has grinded the most in order to gain gear which provides them with a completely unfair advantage. Whether or not players care to admit it, going toe-to-toe against someone in full battlemaster gear against another player in standard equipment is like taking candy from a baby. Obviously Battlemaster is at the peak of the mountain but even with Champion gear and Centurion you will still decimate an opponent without the PvP gear with relative, if not complete, ease. True PvP'rs are those who want a level playing field where skill and coordination win the day. Not an arbitrary stat added because another game decided it was a good idea. For PvP players should be rewarded with titles, cosmetic items, customisable gear, crafting recipes etc etc. Items which do not provide an inherent advantage. I know this is a touchy subject as there are a large number of players in the playerbase who have worked hard to obtain these items but this illustrates another fundamental flaw. When a player is asked about their PvP gear, I have never once encountered a player who has openly said they acquired it as a result of playing PvP. They always refer to it as working to obtain it. In PvP the only work you should be doing is the mastery of the class and the bettering of your own personal skill. Regards, Zacheria
  2. As many have no doubt said, there are those who take their time to actually explore the game content as well as those who reroll or don't play that often. I think alot of people forget that the biggest part of an MMO is the leveling experience, the level 50 content is simply the finish line. Regards, Zacheria
  3. I will start off by apologising if this has been put forward or suggested before but I haven't personally spotted this. I feel as though, ignoring population issues, that Ilum's biggest issue is incentive. At this point in time there is very little incentive to actually hold all locations once you have forced the enemy back to their base. I would like to put forward the suggestion of allocating a reward for capturing the objectives themselves, possibly in the form of Mercenary Commendations, as at the moment Merc Commendations are only available through converting Warzone commendations. I think that this may help to increase population on Ilum as a knock on effect as it would provide an alternative to converting Warzone commendations. I would also like to put forward the suggestion of removing the warning of enemies approaching an objective. At this point in time you are given a substantial warning in regards to what class a hostile is and more importantly how many people are on their way. By removing the global warning this would aid in dispersing larger groups by forcing them to have recon elements and to react to the loss of objectives as there would be no way of knowing how many hostiles are actually there. For clarity I am not suggesting the removal of Merc Comm conversion, just suggesting that they be available elsewhere too. Regards, Zacheria
  4. Seen as there are, what appears to be, a large number of Sentinel players who are struggling; in particular those with the Combat tree, may I be so bold as to create a forum thread offering a guide to aid these players as opposed to being rather unhelpful by just stating "you're doing it wrong". I don't play a Sentinel, but several guild members do. I've noticed that the Watchman tree seems to perform reasonably well where as the Combat tree tends to fair far less favourably. My knowledge of the Sentinel is lacking, however, I'd love to be able to point my members in the direction of this forum for help. I view all the class forums just from the stand point of reinforcing my knowledge and I've noticed that other class forums seem alot quicker to rally round and assist new players. I realise I won't win any contests for this post but I'd recommend members of this forum sit back and take a breath. MMO's are meant to be largely about community and it does no damage to offer to lend some insight and wisdom as opposed to making an unhelpful and unwelcoming response along the line of "learn to play" or other similar comments. Another thing to bear in mind is that there are new people entering the MMO genre all the time as well as PC Gaming. When a big power house of a franchise comes along like Star Wars it will draw in alot of new people who are picking up an MMO or even a PC Game for the first time. My 2 pence. Regards, Kelinor
