    All this math is assuming 1vs1 scenarios. If they iever had 4v4-8v8 arena or deathmatch WZ any team sporting pure Rakata vs a team with pure BM would get wrecked. Damage mitigation is king in team play. It makes it so much easier on healers to keep you alive when you have a constant 12% dmg reduction stat on you than someone who has just 2k more hp but zero dmg reduction. You would get spiked damage so fast your healers wouldn't know how to save you.

     

    It's a given pure rakata vs pure BM is in BM's favor. That's not the issue, the issue is how much BM to replace with Rakata because of expertise DR.

  2. Math > gut feelings of "pros".

     

    The fact remains that the current balance between BM and Rakata and the Expertise mechanic is a design failure. Rakata is awesome in PVE and very good in PVP, while BM is awesome in PVP and average at best in PVE.

     

    Rakata should have its own version of Expertise, used against NPCs. Then it could have same attributes as Battlemaster gear and both types of armor would face a similar drop of effectiveness if used in the other enviroment.

     

    Make accuracy a PvE only stat and put it on every piece of gear like expertise. Make BM/Rakata have the exact same stats except PvE gets accuracy and PvP gets expertise. Make expertise stacking more attractive. Make accuracy not matter in PvP (ignore classes base defense but not stacked defense).

  3. Make some mod changes in your gear and lower your Surge to where the cap is and see how it goes for you.

     

    You see the problem there is the only choices you have for enhancement slots are Acc/Crit, power/surge, or crit/surge. Surge > accuracy after 5% imo. You have to stack surge atm there is no alternative.

     

    If there were Power/Crit enhancements you would have a valid point (praying for 1.2).

  4. Clairvoyant strike (voltaic slash) is worse than double strike (thrash) because of the talent in the Balance(madness) tree that increases the critical dmg by 50%. Any madness build is going to get it and any good PvP tank spec is going to get it.

     

    They need to tack on something to make Clairvoyant hit as hard or harder (armor pen?) than talented thrash. A 31 talent for the melee dps oriented tree should not be that underwhelming imo.

  5. Nope. No one knows if new pvp gear will be released with patch 1.2. No one knows if new gear will require a higher valor rank (War Hero Bags?)

     

    I'd imagine that there has to be new gear, I think too many pvpers would just quit the game at that point.

  6. Make it so every thing is even on PvP gear/PvE gear except put accuracy on PvE gear and make it needed. Put expertise on PvP gear and no accuracy and make accuracy not needed (ignore base defense but not stacked defense).

     

    Oh wow I just made PvP gear the best gear for pvp unless it DRs way too hard, but it wouldn't matter since it's the exact same stats and accuracy does nothing.

  7. Who cares if you get 300k? It's easier to get 300k healing then it is to get 300k prot. I play with a healer who gets 300k every time.

     

     

    They need to redo the whole medal system and have them based on class and or spec.

     

    Marauders get more damage medals that only they can get.

    Sniper get more damage medals that only they can get.

    Heal spec classes get more healing medals they only get if heal spec.

  8. they exist but the power/crit parts is tiny and you have to take shielding with it

     

    They don't exist to me because they're garbage and not worth using.

     

    I want 56/58 Power/Crit/End enhancements.

  9. No, people whine that in fixing the exploit they completely removed something that didn't need removing. What they should have done is remove the ability to break combat via stealth. Now, not only do you not get the out of combat heals in warzones, you no longer get them in pve either, which made leveling as a dps class with anything other than the healer companion bearable.

     

    Yeah lets break a class or 2 so people can use shock frozen water. LOL

  10. The warzone battle itself is one team versus another, true. But you know, Giradda the Hutt's meatbag translator keeps saying every round that one team is Rotworms and the other is Frog-Dogs, "chosen by random draw"... but you know when I'm seeing the other team with a party of 3 or more battlemasters in it, they just determined that outcome before they entered the zone.

     

    That's why I say the most notable skill those players demonstrate is the ability to join in party.

     

    battlemaster auto wins game, true story. Spoken like a scrub.

  11. Ok? It's not hard, and you can't win every 1v1. Most premades don't queue outside their 3 wins b/c they are battlemaster already. Farming pugs isn't hard. I've won like 40+ warzones in the last 3 days, congratulations.

     

    lul, you're talking about sub 50 pvp, what a joke. I could take the 3 other guys I play with at 50 and almost never lose a game sub 50 because most people don't bother running a premade

    I'm going to post one screenshot (out of thousands of games played) that PROVES my spec is the best! I'm even going to post screens of games I lost, but I still pwned noobs!

     

    Except I rarely lose when in premades and I can still put up good numbers if I do lose. But yeah i pwn noobs.
