Also basing solely on slicing, it seems that this is more accurate. I understand that it may not be intentional but I seem to get better rewards from bountiful missions than I do from Rich missions.

+1 agreed... wish it would just wait till i dont have a window up.. and since I can't gather while in combat.. how about my companion not be able to pop up and give me stuff while in combat either...

As much as I love the OP's suggestion and would use it all the time... I believe you are right in that it would affect the prices, and I would be slicing 18 hours a day....
