  1. Agreed. I loved that it's story ended like that and it really breathed new excitement for me to use my HK-51 as a tribute to HK-55. And now we get this.... I really couldn't care less about my 600 CC per month, or the early access or this bonus chapter. I want the game to THRIVE! I want the dev team to put some real effort and create engaging content that makes you want to play more than 2 months before thinking of unsubbing and letting the game rest until the next content appears. If people think of me as a SWTOR hater instead of a lover then my point passed over their heads doing a TIE fighter sound and they didn't even notice... Even Drax the Destroyer would catch the point all the "whiners" make about the rewards incentive to remain subbed.
  2. He answered vaguely so I couldn't tell if he was referring to his mobile phone or tablet that he does or doesn't have or if he was referring to bad rewards for using the free security app. I understand that people don't have smartphones but that's not BioWare's problem is it? You can get a really cheap android phone, you don't need iPhone 6 Plus to use the free security app. Also, thank you for attacking my inability to read between his English words
  3. You speak in riddles droid.... not enough of what? Money to buy an iOS/Android device to use the security key app? Not enough Cartel Coins to justify your free app download?? Being a subscriber you get 500 CC each month, add the 100CC from the security key and you get enough CC to justify anything!
  4. I don't care about DLC's or whatever your argument is. I will compare an MMO to another MMO. There's this company called Blizzard that has successfully maintained an MMO of (arguably) inferior IP than STAR WARS for 10+ years without going F2P yet. In the first year of World of WarCraft's life, they solved the whole EU/US time zone thing, so that both regions can access the game at peak hours/prime time on patch day/weekly maintenance. They also give free time if something like this ever happened the past 10 years, not because they owe it to their paying customers but because such a good gesture can go a long way and builds trust. Please don't tell me I am a Blizzard fanboy for stating the obvious because they really dropped the ball long time ago in my opinion. I am just comparing SWTOR to the most successful MMO out there in terms of subscribers.
  5. When my Seeker Droid mission bugged for at the phase on Quesh (electricity killed me the moment I entered the phase) I abandoned the mission as an ultimate effort to fix the progression problem and was able to re-acquire the mission from the Macrobinocular Mission Droid on Makeb. I would guess that you can try visiting that droid or the one at the Fleet. If this doesn't help, I don't know what is. NOTE: If this works for you, the droid will give you the mission not from the first stage but from the stage you last did, ie the start of the mission on planet Quesh instead of the phase on Dromund Kaas.
  6. If I can shed some light to OP's case, in the whole of my leveling curve up until level 50, all the groups of the heroic quests disbanded after the completion and rarely did we turn in the quest as a group. Social points come from multiplayer conversations. If you disband before you turn the quest in, then you lose your social points. The quest does not finish until you turn it it, not when you reached the quest objective. Common misconception
  7. Best response in a thread EVER! Especially when it comes from a Hutt
  8. If you don't have your own ship, the game restricts you from entering a ship from your group. You can enter the phase of the ship but when you click the ship's door you get the message that says that you need to have your own ship in order to board a friend's ship. @ Ferroz, stop defending the exploiters. Level 10 and below or should I say level 15 and below have absolutely no business going to Ilum or any other high level planet for that matter! If you rush your storyline to get your ship at level 7 there is something absolutely wrong and shady on the way you play the game because this action causes inconsistency in the leveling process. So if you go to Ilum at that level, it's not about galaxy exploration, it's about something else.. especially if you are somehow invisible and untargetable by other players and you are camping a chest that is intended for level 50's who kill the champion that guards it. @ ivanthehedgehog I can't reason with you man since you so obviously refuse to accept the impact the gold sellers make to an mmo. If it was as plain as you described about your friend in City of Heroes or whatever, then it wouldn't be such a big deal. All in all, I want to point out the EULA that states that credits are the property of the developer and we have no authority to sell that property for real money. Then again the biggest lie ever in history is: "I have read and agreed on the terms of use"
  9. Correct me if I'm wrong here but gold sellers and hackers aside, if you fight the champion mob can't I loot/ninja the chest from you given that I'm not in combat? Another kind of drama would then ensue..
  10. When I upgraded to OS 5 I had the Blizzard authenticator disabled because my best friend had really long issues with his when he upgraded to OS 4. HE had to email Blizzard a copy of his ID and answer a series of questions all in a period of a week or so via emails in order for Blizzard to remove the authenticator from his account. He then (as I did) re-attached it to his account after the OS upgrade and all was well. So if you want to be on the safe side, I would suggest to remove the key from your account first, then upgrade your phone's software. After all is done, you can add the security key again to your account.
  11. One thing I don't understand about the high level chests that spawn behind champion mobs in many high level planets is why do we need chests?? These chests hide large amounts of credits 5k to 8k as I've experienced so far as a reward for the kill right? Why not include that amount in the corpse or even better, make the chest a blue item that's a certain drop from the champion? Why must it spawn in the game world?
  12. I know man it's sad to see this mentality in TOR so early... I must admit that I was very upset after my 10th try to get a group for a normal level 50 flashpoint only to see that nobody wants to run them because there are no epics that drop from there..
  13. Xabos gets it. ivanthehog does not thus, defending the botters. Like I said if you don't know something, it's better to listen before you form an opinion. Botters like that, rarely do this to increase their "main's" credit balance. They do it to sell the credits for real money. That's what's ruining the games' economies and that's what I was trying to explain in my post a few pages back.
  14. I beg you to watch the video I posted. The video plus the majority of player that have jobs or school can give you a glimpse on how many can turn to that market even for an end game speeder if not raiding! Lastly, thanks to our beloved WoW, raiders especially hardcore ones are all but extinct like the Jedi in the dark Palpatine times. People even in TOR only wants "epics" a mentality courtesy of Blizzard Entertainment that people can't get rid of. You know I haven't done Battle of Illum (normal) yet because "there are no epics there" so I've only done the hard mode? The mentality is in the game already and people want to raid for the epics, not for the fun of raiding that it was in classic WoW or EverQuest2.
  15. On the contrary my friend. People have demonstrated times and times again that they can't keep their ingame income intact thus not being able to break the 20k barrier at any given time with their character. I see many level 50's still using the level 25 speeder and that speaks volumes. Plus, as a fully epic (purple) geared lvl 50 character and the slots that I use custom gear the mods are epic quality I can tell you that if I die 6 times, my repairs are well beyond that 20k barrier and it's fine since I plan this ahead and have all the credits I need to die every second if needed for the next hour but what about the majority? What about all those people who can't? They will turn to those gold sellers to unhook them from the nasty situation of not being able to raid because they can't afford the repairs and consumables.
