  1. I'm also having issues with conversations. If this was mentioned, sorry, too much reading. Some lines are not spoken and in many of the cutscenes or convos only one NPC's voice actually goes through. For example, my character will say a line and it just stares at him, then NPC #1 says something it will have sound, NPC #2 says something, no sound, my toon will be mute again, then NPC #1's sound will die off. Its really hit and miss and I would say about 40% of the dialogue is actually spoken.
  2. EA partnered with Razer and made a **** ton of buttons so we would have to buy their Naga mouse to be effective.
  3. He musta got busy killin' sith. I watched the timeline like 88 times before this game came out, and I was really hoping they would finish them. Durals got a sick *** voice, too.
  4. I rolled on Iron Citadel, at launch it was one of the first servers to go to FULL and have a que during early access. Now I log in and there are LITERALLY 9 people on the station and 3-5 on each planet. Heroic quests are a no-go and Flashpoints are out of the question. This game has become a single player game with lots of extra running around time. PvP ques are so long I forget that I ever joined one. Can't even get one other person for BT when I roll an alt. I un-subbed a week ago, and will probably never come back. Which really sucks because Kotor was one of my favorite series and I was really hoping this game would be the continuation of it, but all the interesting story is in group content which I can't do. I've put countless hours into MMOs, WoW obviously, Everquest (1 and 2), Final Fantasy (both of them), the list goes on. And I have never been so bored as I am when playing this game. The story is nifty the first time through, but then it just becomes a repetitive grindfest with no community or even seeing any other players.
  5. This one time I played every other multiplayer game EVER and it kept score. Sports keep score, FPS games track kills and assists, hell, Pong had a freaking scoreboard. Board games card games, chess, checkers. Almost every game ever created had a way of tracking who does better. Why the **** shouldn't we be able to keep score in this one, and that's all a damage meter is is a way to keep track of how a player is performing. I mean there are even trackers in PvP, IN THIS GAME, why not stick one in the end game content. Completely boggles my mind. I cut my subscription off so I guess it doesn't matter anyway..
  6. Agreed OP, I have little to no lag anywhere else until I get into a WZ then I can barely function, its like playing on an etch-a-sketch. I only get lag in actual combat though which leads me to believe that the problem has to do with all the 'fancy' parries and blaster bolt deflections, which are fine for pve, but just seem rather unnecessary in a large PvP setting.
  7. 8/8 nothing so far, oh well next wave here I come
  8. I keep reading these posts by people whose main argument seems to be that this was not a launch.. I'll walk you through this one: Open your launcher. Sign in. Click the system messages. Read the VERY FIRST sentence of the "Welcome Message." Come up with new ways to tell me this wasn't at least a mild failure of a launch when 10% of the paying customers are playing, and getting ahead of the rest of us, and probably exploiting warzones because there aren't even enough people playing to put together a match. I would much rather have a few hour que today(or the 20th for all I care, I waited YEARS for this), rather than waiting till whenever I'm deemed worthy to play this magnificent beast, and then most likely waiting through the same que to play. I love bioware and have played most of their games, but this was a poorly implemented launch scheme. In all honesty I'm guessing its somehow EA's fault. Mostly because they ruin everything. They screwed up Call of Duty, completely horrified me with the "new" WoW, and now I'm guessing will be screwing with TOR. And they won't let me order through Steam, who they completely ripped off by making "Origin." Which is an ironic name for a complete knock-off, don't ya think?
  9. One of the few sensible things I've been able to find in this madhouse. Kudos.
  10. this is kinda sad, i will miss fighting over boars!
  11. http://www.own3d.tv/AtheneLive These people have specifically said they didn't preorder, you go onto the site and they are killing birds and dancing. Sort of WoW E-famous > Paying subscribers apparently.
  12. So what they are telling me is that instead of a 2 hour Que that everyone would face when they log in and out i have to wait at least a full day and let others get far ahead of me and also let them reserve extra names before anyone else has a chance to get their first character even made. Besides half the fun of an MMO, IS THAT ITS MASSIVELY MULTIPLAYER. Playing with 100s of people around you is part of the experience and launch days are usually some of the most fun. I really don't get the staggered plan. I guess if thats what it takes to not crash and burn then more power to ya but I don't see the point of stress testing and fixing if the launch is going to be significantly less than the test. Also that test was rubbish I finally get in after not being "lucky" enough and what do I get but a black screen of nothing, and a post telling me its a known problem. Anywho figured I'd just add my QQ to the pile, highly doubting this will be read. lol
