I fully expect downtime in order to run an enterprise of any kind, especially an online MMO game. The Wednesday morning window is expected and I can understand an occasional outage on other times. But a Saturday outage for an online game? Really?
Was this an emergency patch that fixed issues that were causing outages? Or was it something that could have waited until Monday morning?
I'm sure the flames will come in about how I can live without the game for another couple of hours. That's true and I did. And I am not one to rant and rave about how I am going to quit over something like this. I am simply calling out the necessity of an outage on what should be sacrosanct time for an MMO: Friday evening through Monday Morning. If it couldn't be helped, so be it. But if it could have waited just two more days, then why do it?
