They should be gotten rid of. If not the costs should be nominal, not as significant percentage of purchase prices. eg. 400 for a mount is silly. Discourages my spending more than encourages it.

Hi, I've had a GeForce 9800 GT video card for about a year. Took it out of my old pc and tossed in a new one I got about 5-6 months ago. Anyhow, I've never really ever made it work hard, most demanding game I had played was WoW. Played the beta issue free, got my early access today, and my machine has just shut down twice. Is it because the video card is overheating? Or possibly another issue? Thanks
