  1. I'm going to assume you're one of the clueless players I was specifically talking about. I'll try to make this as precise as possible, so you may understand it: When in the acid (IE: it's touching you), healing doesn't work. It does NOTHING. At this point, healers spam casting heals is doing nothing to help their team. A healer should be trying to do as much damage as they possibly can, to try to down their opponent(s) first. The ONLY exception to this is a sorc or sage, who can bubble BEFORE the acid touches them, to take the advantage of Enduring Bastion, which is the ONLY HEAL that will work while standing in the acid. For a more in-depth explanation of sorc/sage acid bubble, see my previous post.
  2. These are SWTOR forums. I DEMAND you stop making sense!
  3. Speaking of knowing what they are doing: How many times have you seen a healer trying to cast heals during acid? It makes me laugh every time, as there is no healing in the acid. Healers should be trying to do as much dps as possible when in the acid. Just the smallest amount can make the difference between a win and a loss.
  4. Sorcs and Sages can, and DO! As long as they have their immunity bubble available. The trick is knowing when to pop it. Most of them pop it as the acid gets to you, but this is incorrect, as the acid will deal damage through the bubble. The correct way is to pop it earlier, so it is WEARING OFF as the acid gets to you, as the 8 stacks of healing mechanic (forget the name) WILL WORK IN THE ACID. I have won many a match this way, even against other sorcs who waited to pop bubble, and died in acid inside it.
  5. You are 100% correct! I tried it myself, and found it to be true. For years I have been gathering my own nodes (I had the option for companion to gather turned off). I know from first-hand experience that I could not gather a node that wasn't a gold cursor (within reach), and made the same assumption for companions. I apologize for the error. And from now on, I'll send my companions to do my gathering for me, from halfway across the map!
  6. I farmed them until I had maxed out all planetary PvP achievements. Now I just want them removed. I have NO PROBLEM with players wanting to add to their credit stash by slicing nodes, but they should be punished for cheating at it.
  7. I'll add an observation of my own to this: A year or so ago, I added the character names of the 2 bots on Yavin IV to my friend's list. Every so often those names will disappear from my list, without me removing them. When I do a /who Yavin IV, I see their names however, and re-add them. It makes me wonder if BW/EA actually removed the bot, but they were re-made with the exact same names, or if something else has happened. I usually notice this after a patch, so it could have something to do with that.
  8. Absolutely spot on. I have reported this exact behavior on Bergeren Colony multiple times, and the same 2 Sith Assassins are there 24/7/365 exploiting the slicing nodes in the PvP instance of Yavin IV.
  9. ^ THIS, times infinity! I have myself reported the same 2 bots on Yavin IV multiple times, all to no avail. They are there 24/7/365, exploiting slicing nodes. It sickens me to think of the BILLIONS of illegally obtained credits these bots have collected over the years.
  10. I'm sorry sir, but you can't harvest from 50 meters away. If you aren't in range to click the node yourself (10 meters), neither can your companion.
  11. +1 Wondering this myself.
  12. Revert it back please. Or at the very least, let the PLAYER decide if they want to toggle this trash on or off. This is RIDICULOUS and should have never been implemented. If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.
  13. Companies like BW are reluctant to ban cheaters / hackers / exploiters because of the almighty dollar. These players are subs, and banning an account loses money. This is unfortunate, as I believe subs would increase if cheaters were banned. And not just the account, ban the IP address so they can't just create a new account and cheat some more. Cheating should NEVER be tolerated. Ever. I have finally given up on reporting 2 bots on Bergeron Colony server who are exploiting slicing nodes in the PVP section of Yavin 4. These 2 Sith Assasins are there 24/7/365. And they send comps to gather from halfway across the map, from stealth, and can even make themselves un-targetable for PvP, so I can't even farm them! Not only have I reported them numerous times to CS, but I have even sent a PM to Eric with all the pertinent details, including their names. And you know what? You can log into Bergeron Colony at any hour, of any day, and /who Yavin 4, and see the same 2 Assasins exploiting those slicing nodes! They've divided the map evenly between them, for complete coverage of the best nodes. It sickens me to think of how many BILLIONS of credits these 2 bots have accumulated over time.
  14. I was wondering the same thing. Appreciate the response!
  15. Is this a bug? Or intended? If intended, I would have liked to know this in advance, as I would not have purchased said companion.
  16. Hmm....I was under the impression that bans were given to an IP address, as well as the account. This way, the banned person cannot continue to make new accounts and keep up their antics. If this is not the case, it should be.
  17. I think you mean he has been SUSPENDED in the past. If he had been BANNED, he would not still be playing. Suspensions are temporary, bans are permanent.
  18. I think you mean suspension. A ban is permanent, something BW is reluctant to do. Which is too bad. If you exploit the game, whether in PvP or PvE, you DESERVE a BAN!
  19. This would make it much easier to check your current command rank. IE: Command Rank 10 1235 / XXXX Legacy is already this way. Why not do the same for Command XP?
  20. Most likely a hotfix to the chapter that cannot be completed. But what I want is a fix giving all 26 of my characters their 2400 credits back that mysteriously disappeared upon launching KoTeT.
  21. I too wrote down my credits, along with how many I should earn on Friday with the conversion, and I can also confirm ALL 25 of my level 65's have lost exactly 2400 credits. WTH? I want my credits back!
  22. Ugh! Well, thank you all for replying and confirming that it's not just me. As I live in a remote part of this planet, my internet is an actual data plan each month, and not unlimited like most people pay for, so I have to watch my usage carefully. This expansion is going to take a huge chunk out of my 30 GB /mo allowance. *cry*
