If you're having trouble with graphics performance, try this:
Go into the graphics preferences and choose the "High" preset. Once you have done this, you can start tweaking the other options.
The game defaulted to "Low" for me, but I was getting horrible framerates. Roughly 20 fps, when in the beta I was 30-40 fps. So, I knew something was wrong. Did some surfing in the customer service forum and found this fix - wanted to pass it along!
Trust me, if your game defaulted to Low settings, there's still something not right. Until you set it up to High and then start tweaking, your framerate will be terrible.
I'm only running an iMac w/ 3.0 Ghz Core 2 Duo, 4 Gb ram, and an NVidia 8800GS card. I am now running TOR at all High settings (except shadows on Low), max 1920x1200 resolution, and getting about 30 fps!
