  1. Hey there, we are 2 returning players to the game. We played at launch and a while after. However we decided to give it another shot. One of the biggest reasons for us quitting was the lack of a great guild. So now we are back and hoping to find a friendly an active guild to make us feel at home again in the old republic. Short version about us: Dutch couple living together, 25/26 years old. Been playing MMO's for around 15 years and have seen most of them over the years. What are we looking for? - Mature guild with an active community - Fun is the main reason for us playing the game, that means goofing around and chatting in guild chat or doing content with the guild. - We are primarily PVE Focused, altho we do enjoy the occasional warzone - Since we've been away for so long we decided to reroll characters so we just started leveling up. Keywords what we are looking for: Fun/active/mature Does this sound like your guild? Give us a shout ingame on either Xivik or Caelyne or contact me in this thread. Regards, Xivik and Caelyne
  2. Both me and my gf started having these problems after todays emergency patch. Both on tatooine and the fleet. It worked fine last night.
  3. First off a major jay! For companions finally selling my thrash, however now whenever I use an elevator or dismount my companion needs to be resummoned... Which comes down too having too resummon my companion roughly once a minute. Really hope this get s fixed soon.
  4. Ye, kinda set on a Jedi, since my main is a trooper, how lame it may be, I want one character with a glowstick:-P Also I'm not really into the cover system, I'd like a fairly mobile character. My trooper will be my primary pve char with my alt doing a mix but a higher focus on pvp since pvping as a healer is fun once in a while but we all know what a pita it can be between getting focused, people not protecting you too just running out of range/los not too mention buggy frames and click healing:-P
  5. Might seem stupid asking this in. the new player section but I'm really at a loss. Basically my gf and I are levelling our main characters together so I'm in need of a solo character to level. However I can't seem to decide on what character I want. My main is a trooper commando combat medic. For my alt I'm going either Jedi knight or consular since I spent all my time healing on my main And spent a good while in that other game tanking I'm going dps, thinking both pvp and pve. Primarily pvp tho. Guardian: is it viable as a dps? Sentinel: how's the dps and how is it to play one with all the cc in pvp? Sage: seems to do fairly all Shadow: played assassin till 24, seemed to be kited a lot in pvp and lacking burst. Could've been lack of skills spec tho. Don't worry I'm not asking you too choose for, me I'd just like some input on how the classes play from people with experience with them on higher levels. Thanks in advance!
  6. need fixing ^^ especially starting to notice the off GCD abilities not firing atm, jolt for example.
  7. After thinking about this some more I was wondering if the input delay and the too long animations arent part of the same problem. I mean, you press a ability, 0.5 seconds later the animations actually starts to play. GCD/Castbar ends on the UI however the server didnt start the animation until ~0.5 seconds after the castbar started. 00:00:00 - You press ability A 00:00:01 - UI starts castbar. 00:00:50 - server start animation 00:02:01 - UI shows castbar as complete 00:02:05 - you press another skill but it doesn't respond, character is still playing animation. 00:02:50 - Character animation ends. You can start a new spell, 0.5 seconds after the castbar ended on your UI. Thus animation length is exactly accurate however due to input delay it continues after the UI shows it's done because it started later then you pressed the button. Hope it's clear what I mean, it's probably not the reason, it could be though.
  8. This is by far, the hottest single topic within the entire forum. well over 100k views and 230 pages long in 2 days. Whether people experience the bugs or not it certainly is something that is rumbling amongst a lot of players. This thread must've been noticed by now. The customers deserve atleast a recognition of the thread. Everyone who posted in this topic wants the game to succeed, they want to play the game. They're not bashing they're bringing up valid points and concerns. Please Bioware atleast acknowledge that you are aware of the issue and comment on whether we need to live with it or if it's going to get fixed. I WANT to continue playing this game and if you tell me you are working on it I'll gladly put up with the current system for a little while longer. I just want to know IF it gets fixed at all. I find your lack of response..disturbing
  9. /signed and rated. Love this game, even spent a few hundred euros upgrading for it. As it seems now GW2 will be grateful for that pc upgrade..
  10. /agree I can live with it during leveling although it is surely annoying as hell. An example on my Sith assassin: When I use maul it starts the animation, cuts it off then replays the animation before it hits. This entire process takes roughly 2 GCD's ie. 3 seconds. If I use a different ability before the cut off+full animation is played it won't hit at all. As I said I can live with it during the leveling process but if this doesn't get fixed it is going to ruin any sort of serious endgame. I'm loving the game and so far any other flaws are minor and not gamebreaking. However in the long run I can see this ruining the game for me. Please bioware fix this, I really want to stay with this game. And I will for a while, but if this doesn't get fixed within the starting months I'm afraid I'll be waiting for a new MMO to switch too asap.
  11. Hey all, A quick question. I'm not sure wether this is intended or a bug. That's why I wanted to check in here first if people know it or not before i report it. My girlfriend and me started this game together, and want to level up atleast our first characters together. Now on Duromond Kaas we both were on the same classquest (we're both inquisitor, I'm assasin she's sorcerer) "the foot of the colussus". We could both enter the instanced zone together, np. She could join my story or I could hers. However if we were together only the story owner got credit for the quest objective. Now I know it's an easy quest and we just both did it solo. However we just like playing together. Is this is class quest /story zone thing and intended or is it a one time bug?
  12. hope this helps: If a friend wants to help you but cant do it himself atm. You need to enter the zone first thus making it Story owner: *your name*. Your friend should be able to see a blue ish barrier now and be able to enter.
  13. Hello there! Now this might be a stupid question but as we tell the kids: There is no stupid question. My gf and me decided to start playing Sunday. Pre ordered then and we're Loving it so far. We're still low levels and are learning as we go. From what I've seen the in game community is friendly and helpful, A weird change after the last couple years in flamefest wow. I've been thinking that joining a fun social guild while levelling would enhance Our time ingame. Now down to the actual question: is there a ready way too find this type of guild on a server? I took a look at the guild forums and basically the most I find are guilds already concerned With endgame which frankly is too far off for me. Also haven't seen a single guild post from Eyes of ashalanea EU. Is there any place you can go to too look for guilds? Flashpoints, capitals general, something dedicated I missed? Regards, Xivik
