  1. I wonder which characters will be able to understand B4 properly. I count two and potentially three more.
  2. Are you going to give the IC explanations - at least roughly, or do we have to make them up as we go?
  3. Meh, it's a tie between Brontes, Raptus, Calphayus and Tyrans. Raptus is the only one that made it up there because of his personality though. <insert mad laugh>
  4. [ Edit: And of course the link wouldn't send you to the right spot. Tell that to Jahuro, LK.
  5. Why do I have no screenshot of Raptus on my laptop?
  6. I have a guess, why nobody voted for it. Nal Hutta will be interesting though, if it makes the vote. Even though I'm voting for Dxun - because nostalgia - I like the idea not to be on a jungle world. To complete my color test, here's another line. Now let's see which one LK stole from me.
  7. It sounds like something a certain Jawa could say, but I know he didn't. If 'master', 'expert' etc are the same kind of 'master' that we're using for force powers, then I've no complaints about LKs character. Otherwise, the combat capabilities seem very high to me for an average 'unknown', even a Mandalorian.
  8. Aaaaand finished. Hope you can make something out of the huge chunk I wrote.
  9. I just added a bit more to B4's biography and reduced the range of its comlink to 'short'. If you like, I can send you a PM with the (now hopefully final) character sheet. Sorry.
  10. You forgot the droid sidekick. I'm gonna expand its biography a little bit after dinner concerning memory wipes and such.
  11. Magnetize is probably the word I'm looking for (physics, english and I don't mix well). Technically, there would probably be some sort of frame at the bottom of its chassis that can be magnetized. That way it will be held down to metallic surfaces (when B4 wants to do so) without the wheels being impaired. As astromech droids have to be able to work in zero-gravity on the hull of a starship (see Selenials example for R2 above), I thought that most astromech droids have such an ability. Since they might want to make 'jumps' from one place on the hull to another, it would make sense if they could turn it off, thus the ability to magnetize or not. Edit: I actually found another example: During the escape from Naboo in Episode I, R2 and the other astromech droids are working on the outer hull of the starship. Unless starships create artificial gravitiy in a small area around their hull (which I've never heard of), they needed something like magnetism to hold onto the ship. Note that the ship is actually trying to break the blockade, so the magnetic field seems to be strong enough to compensate gentle acceleration of the starship. Probably not much more though.
  12. Updated my character sheet with a third item (reserve fuel for B4's tools) and specified which languages his programming covers (no ancient Sith language, no Chiss language). Also, can I make it that B4's wheels are magnetic whenever he chooses to? I don't want to figure out how that could actually be done, but I doubt it would want to have magnetic wheels for every situation at work. Karadrons character is nice. Sad too, though.
  13. This is going to happen during the cold war, i.e. prior to the war on Corellia, right? Is it possible for Nalas character to have an Isotope-5 powered weapon at this time? At best, the Hutts and certain inhabitants of Makeb (like Solida Hesk) would know of Isotope-5 and its potential. That's quite a rare weapon.
  14. I added two programs to my Beeping Mechanic: 'Enhanced creativity protocols' and 'Language processing programs'. The creativity protocols are meant to allow for a more flexible interpretation of its programming (more flexible than a rolling and beeping computer). The language programs are, so that it can actually understand what anybody is saying. Is that ok? Also: Should I change the last 2 years of its biography, since it's a prisoner, not a mechanic on the ship? As a prisoner, B4 would also have a restraining bolt, right? I vote for Beeping Mechanic as my title. Or Beep-a-mech
  15. Ok, let's try. Character Name: B4-DM-πR (sometimes read as ,Before the Empire‘) Profession: Starship mechanic Species: Astromech droid Skills/Tools: Movement: A magnetizable frame at the bottom of his chassis, allowing it to get a solid hold on metallic surfaces. Jet (for short, burst-like use only) Perception: thermal vision and vision in a very large spectrum of light rays audio receptors Tools: terminal pluggin oil spray welding equipment basic repair tools machine saw grappling hook integrated communicator (medium range relative to usual ground communication) two gripe arms Biography: Special abilities: Isolation against electric shocks and extreme temperatures Regularly updating astrocharts Has no restraining bolt attached (his last mechanic liked him) Enhanced creativity protocols Language processing programs (covers various languages of Republic and Hutt space. Does not cover languages of ancient Sith culture or the unknown regions - e.g. the Chiss' language) Items: 1. reserve powercell 2. spare parts 3. reserve fuel for jets, welding equipment etc All items are stored in two compartments in B4's chassis. Planet vote: Dxun (why is Belsavis not an option?) Edit: I might have to change my biography, if we're the prisoners.
  16. You guys need an online version of this. Then you turn it into Star Wars and you have one of the most epic things ever.
  17. To which I present you the NovaDive which will charge in with Distortion Field up, maneuvering a bit such that it is even harder to hit, using EMP discharge at the right moment. Unless these target objects have very much health, they will be destroyed before you can build up the minefield again. To make it worse, one or maybe two NovaDives are enough to allow a whole Squadron of RocketPod fighters to zerg the objective. Mines and Drones are good defenses, if the attacker needs to stay in the area for a prolonged time (like near satellites which have to be defended after capture). Any objective that can be left again after a quick assault cannot be protected due to EMP discharge.
  18. While I love the idea of assault/defense, I worry that GSF doesn't really offer any good ways to defend a destroyable objective. How would you prevent enemies from destroying the defense turrets around satellites in domination? You can't do much more than slowing the attackers (with few weapons that are available only on certain ships) or destroy them. If you want to destroy an enemy before he can do any damage to a destroyable objective you'll be most effective with range which means that defense will consist of walls of gunships at best. For this reason I fear that a symmetric assault/defense scenario would simply turn into a pure assault game about which team can inflict armor penetrating damage faster. In the asymmetric case you would encounter gunship walls for defense and not much else, unless there are a lot of LoS options, which would render gunships quite useless in that game mode. I dislike both options. I would love to see a functioning asymmetric assault/defense game mode, because it is the closest possible to a deathstar-race, which is what I want to have. However, I think this would be better for a PvE scenario, because the defending team just hasn't enough options to do its job. Next map: Apart from Denon TDM, I'd like to see TDM maps over Korriban and Tython. On the wall of crazy: A map in the Maw, including some anomalies on the map that will destroy ships that get too close. Game Mode: I've said my piece about the deathstar-race above. If they can make it work, it would be great.
  19. Since I couldn't find those on the PTS: - Kitchenettes of various sizes, luxury levels and cultural flavors (Empire, Republic, Civilian, Underworld, Tatooine, Voss etc.) - Furniture for a bathroom (bathtube, shower, refresher etc.). Again in various luxury levels and cultural flavors.
  20. Archeology/Alchemy/Laboratory: Many of these already exist in game in hospitals or laboratories in some form. - A table with several ancient stone plates and artifacts on it - Large stone tablets and artifacts - Lab tables (with and without a dissected corrupted beast on it) - Meditation mats - Crates (open and closed) that contain archeological/medical/ tools - Ancient weapons and armors (examples can be found on the Arcanum) Training room: - Everything a science fiction fitness room needs (punching bag, mats to put on the floor for exercises, etc). - A locker with orb-like training droids and training weapons - Repair and loading stations for other training droids - A sparring ring
  21. I don't fully understand the prerequisites. In the last list Silenceo posted -post 3770, some of the prerequisites had a specific level, others didn't. To avoid confusion, I think you should put the necessary level there for every prerequisite. As an example: The dark side power Chain Lightning requires Force Lightning, but currently there is no indication about the level required. One Force Power I didn't find: Ghost binding. It's certainly exotic, probably dark side and probably a high tier.
  22. I would like to add Resplendence/Resurgence on the list (Resplendence would be light, Resurgence dark). It's an ability to slowly heal yourself or someone else. Edit: Nevermind, I found Force healing on the list.
