  1. For the past who ever knows how long the game just keeps adding new items only through the cartel market. For a change - adding some actual items to acquire into the game. More mounts which can be found. More Light sabers which are just good as platinum quality ones but different in nature. WoW does not have every item under the sun in their store. Many items can be found in the game and the best looking ones are rewarded for fighting bosses or missions. Yet here it is the complete opposite. I think the success of WoW should be justification enough they know what they are doing. Reward players for actually playing and please stop trying to fleece them in every chance possible. It is great to add items to the cartel market sometimes - but it is also a good idea to start moving old items from the cartel market into the main game.
  2. I am playing through the game and I don't even heal, my companion doesn't even heal. We are doing story bosses like we are shooting rice paper. I went through entire planets and only needing to heal maybe twice. Otherwise, I just let my HP bar drop and not have a care in the world. The game at this point is pretty much a walking simulator. === If I can make a suggestion I suggest making PvE and PvP instance the same instance, but you have to "Opt-In" into PvP Then make the second Planet instance "Veteran \ Master" instance This way those of us who want to Opt Into a much more difficult story campaign can.
  3. So I am trying to attract new friends to the game but the current F2P limitations is so painful that it is hard for them to even like it. Playin a lot of subscription and F2P games over the years I have a good idea of the best way to attract new users as well as convert them into a paid subscription. Currently, the F2P restrictions include but not limited to Complete Chat block ( even with friends and groups ) Run speed restriction Item transfer restriction Cash Restriction Cash transfer restriction. End Gear Restriction. The changes I recommend instead is to promote a healthy F2P economy which promotes conversion Chat changes -> F2P players are able to use group chat as well as Whisper people on their Friends list. This change will allow F2P who join with other people to actually be able to communicate with one another without having to use a 3rd party application -> F2P players get access to a F2P Forum This way F2P players and new adopters can ask questions - to decide if they want to try the game. -> At level 1 they get access to New Player Chat channel New Players get invited into the channel by community members ( similar to Final Fantasy ) Bank Changes -> F2P players no longer have Credit Restrictions Instead, they face higher tax on goods. Ingame items are 25% higher for F2P GTN Takes 15% Preferred Accounts have 15% higher on Shop items while GTN Takes 12.5% F2P have a weekly credit cap of 500,000 a week in transfers. Perferred have a weekly credit cap of 750,000 in weekly transfers. Weekly Transfers includes but not limited to Sending cash to other players through GTN or Mail. Movement Changes --> No more slow running Seriously you know how painful it is to run slowly on such big maps? This is one major feature killing new players from converting as they can't even try the game without being bored to death. Item Transfer Restrictions --> Restrictions are not limited to the number of items but the number of mail you can send. F2P Can only send mail to members of their guild, or friends or their own accounts They can only send 10 mails per week. ( Which is roughly 60 items ) Preferred is 20 mails per week. ( 120 items ) Cartel Market Price Changes The Cartel market prices are basically insane - if you want a higher amount of purchases in order to dramatically increase the amount of money spent by users the cartel prices need to be drastically changed. Basic Item -> 100 - 150 Cartel Coins ( Mask \ Single Item of Clothing \ etc ) Premium Item - 1500 Cartel Coins ( Volatile Light Saber ) ( Dropped from 5000 ) Companions - 1500 Coins Mounts - 1000 - 15000 Dyes - When purchased become infinite use - 400 cartel coins Chance of all players of getting 1 Market Coupon as rewards from events. Items purchased with market coupon are bound to legacy and can't be traded. ======= I think these changes will definitely increase player population and renew interest in the game.
  4. So I am planning on starting a new run and I need to decide between a Mercenary and Power Tech. I really don't know anything about either so any help would be appreciated. I am more of a fan of DPS Tank if that is helpful and I am pretty much a casual player.
  5. I mean doesn't need to be the same class composition Could be Jug + BH or whatever - so you can try a new storyline. So any particular storyline you are interested in? I sent a Friend Request on Discord. Adventure Hunter#1086
  6. Hi, I actually haven't made the character yet - was hoping to find interested people before I start. So Empire or Republic either one is fine. Also I wouldn't force anyone to be any class - I rather they pick whichever one they enjoy. Personally I like the Empire a bit more as they have a more interesting story line. I can play Sith Juggernaught if you want me to do tank, or I can go flex and do Agent. It matters whichever character you are interested in trying - I can always pick someone else. Around which time are you free in? I am in U.S east so it works out.
  7. I am planning on starting a new character in Star Forge - looking for new or casual players that just want to enjoy the story and the adventure. If you are interested please leave a message - would love to run around with the galaxy with a group of friendly people.
  8. First of all I want to say thank you, such a huge boon. Not exactly. There were 4 grades of items originally, where Bronze had an extremely high chance to drop with a lot of sets inbetween. So say there were 20 possible items and 10 were bronze. Which meant the chance of getting one of the rare items were extremely minuscule less than 1% Now you cut out the fat - and remove 10 items from the drop tables - the other chances increase exponentially. I know you are joking but I literally saw some one do that maybe 6 months ago. They bought some item during black friday weekend and it was cheaper during Christmas sale and they were screaming at the poor support girl who was trying to runaway.
  9. Earlier heroics were pretty hard to do solo.
  10. Honestly after seeing a 7000 cartel coin sword I lost interest in direct sales. Personally considering how rare items are - going on sale should be a reward to customers. Personally I think platinum items = 1500 cartel coins and every grade below that is 200 from it. Jetpacks were actually on sale last month or month before.
  11. There honestly was no reason to charge this kind of price. They could have sold much more and likely made more profit from it, selling at 1000 cc instead. If they wanted to charge 7000, they should have made it limited edition version with a unique emote or something along the lines. In my opinion if Bioware had competent manager - they would have sold 2 versions of it. A Limited edition - with a unique feature for 5000 cc A standard edition for the masses at - 1000cc. ( If you are a subscriber ) Which means they would also get 1 month subs cash flow just to buy it. That way you make all parties happy. Of course does require a competent person to come up with in the first place.
  12. It really isn't complicated. A company pays BW to bring exclusive items to its customers. Generally it focuses on specific markets. Its a Win \ Win for both companies but generally a large percentage of fans are left in the dust because of these exclusivity deals. Personally if I were the PR team - I would have made a company based event and rewarded everyone instead. Have some Troopers needing to Deliver Goods across the galaxy. Those that survive through the gauntlet of enemies to deliver packages get rewarded. The company gets tons of promotion seeing their name everywhere - and fans get free stuff playing through it. Another win \ win but in a non discriminatory way.
  13. Actually the funny thing is - if it were the other way around - A business licensed another business and something like this happened - the datacenter could be held liable for the down time. In the recent downtime of Amazon cloud ( which went down for 4 hours ) - Amazon compensated all its customers with 10 days. Keeping in mind Amazon Cloud provides services to some massive sites where it can cost $100 - $5,000 dollars a day to host. Because we are simply consumers ( even though we also pay ) - Governments feel we don't deserve any sort of protections. Long story short - in the eyes of most governments world wide - humans are given less rights and less freedoms than companies. When a company kills people - you don't see anyone get arrested. If a person kills some one though - they will get arrested. Infact the only case I can think of is American Peanut corporation where the executive got 28 years. Food for thought.
  14. So basically the Sith Invaded the OR Datacenter and Bureaucrats are trying to figure out how to write up a peace treaty. They are trying to figure out who pays for the Jelly Donuts during the Peace Treaty. Sith want creme filled but republic is more inclined for jelly.
  15. You are probably reading the dev tracker backwards
