Its not about seeing who is directly right or left of you. When i use the "swivel feature" I cannot see anything. Ships in the distance are too small to spot. IF someone is maybe say 3000 meters away that is fine.. i ant to see where everyone is at all times without having to fly around in circles But spotting a friendly 10000 meters+ is impossible in the darkness of space and with such small ships..having those tags stay on your friendly/enemy target while free looking would be helpful. Do you yet see what i mean? I feel like you're missing my point

Its not about having a threat. If i want to know who is shooting at me..I will press R. If i want to see a group of my teammates positions without changing course..free look removes names is what im tying to say..making spotting impossible with free look. You guys are missing my point. Spotting and bring up last target to hit you is two very different things. When the names are removed from a friendly ..say a bomber with repair drones. it makes using free look to spot your targets pointless. Im sorry if you can spot a friendly bomber 18000 meters away without his tag on him..you have the worlds greatest eyes and monitor

Forum rules is against insulting or calling out. Your reply was pointless. Free look is supposed to help you spot enemies or friendly targets without changing course to help you navigate the battlefield. I said nothing about who was shooting at your. The R key brings that up. Free Look Its for spotting man.

Since the 2.6 update a bug has occurred with the free look options. When you free look, all the enemy/Friendly name tags disappear making spotting with free look pointless to use.

this has nothing to do with imbalance as it does with lack of skill. I hopped on my lowbie who has no upgraded ships and only the three basic starting ships... I scored 30k dmg and 15 kills with a brand new ship that had never been used before.... Skill is far greater than upgrades in gsf. -

I play GSF on shadowlands as a republic pilot. I agree with the OP. Imperials on shadowlands are literally some of the worst players. Thats simply it. I will dominate imps with a 20/0 score. It's almost guaranteed for me to score 10+ kills and no deaths vs imps. But then we get a pub vs pub and the games usually end very very close. It is kind of strange but imps do not have any kind of real disadvantage other than a PEBKAC error =P Imps do NOT play objectives. They often play gun ships and hover around their own spawns doing nothing but trying to snipe people. Doing this is completely counter productive. (EDIT) If the imps get brave enough to try and come to a satellite pop one shot or missile lock on them and they go running with their tails between their legs to the spawn. In doing so, they leave the nodes completely open to cap. So the real cause of the imbalance has nothing to do with the mechanics of the game...it is shear lack of ability. -
The only thing i don't agree with is not spending your comms on pvp gear. Yes some pve gear gets bolstered but its not better than min maxed full obroan. Now if you are a lowbie. Feel free to spend comms on medpacs instead of the lowbie gear.

really? have you even played GSF? If you have then you should know by now that it would literally make no sense with a flight stick. It just would not work. The keyboard and mouse controls are perfectly fine and are very very precise. Stop making worthless threads in a forum of worthless threads. -
With all the arguing about 4 vs 4 and 8 vs 8. All ranked in this game has suffered the exact same fate. People get fed up with all the terrible design flaws and stop queuing. So why not just remove ranked? People don't do it that much. If i queue on my server i will sit there for over an hour with no pop. Sometimes never even getting a pop. THen i switch to regs and get and instant queue pop. People just don't do ranked. The system is terrible. The classes and combat were NOT designed for small team deathmatches. I would love it if ranked had no issues, the classes were balanced and the game were designed around this concept. But it wasn't and it is awful. Ranked is terrible. Remove it.

I tried this and it was not worth it. Yes my bonus damage went up by a few points and my experise stayed the same but all of your main stats drop. THis exploit is good if you don't have any pvp weapons at all. But it is NOT better than auged obroan main hand

This just comes down to bad playing. Really bad playing. No if, ands, or buts about it. Just bad playing.

NO this is not always the best course of action. Killing th ehealer first is not always best. Sometimes its best to have someone interrupting, CC'ing , hard stunning ETC. While dps focus's down the other teams damage dealers or tanks

gunships are fine. I personally dont like playing one but they are easy to kill and add nice flavor to the matches. -

simple solution. After you leave the "safe" zone. You cannot re enter it. If you do it will say leaving engagement zone and kill you. Simple, effective, and to the point. -

You are correct up until part 4 there. Never use all of your stacks of resplendence on salvation. Unless you are in a serious OH **** moment. When you build your stacks use 2 of of them with noble sacrifice for force management and use 1 stack for your salvation.
