I figured it was time to start an awareness thread of troll's in an attempt to reduce certain....issues related to thread posting. To be fair, here is the proper definition of a "troll" WIKIPEDIA : TROLL : INTERNET : In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4] The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted". I figure as a positive feed back post which may help BW and other players, this would be a good place to list anyone trolling so long as it is in a positive way. This includes myself. While I do not try to "troll" I do at times post things I should not. So, please, keep this thread nice, formal, and on topic. Hope it helps the forums to atleast some degree... That system should work fine. It isn't like my own, but you don't need a "god machine" to play. If you want to upgrade a couple of parts you can always get another 4GB of matched ram and change your video card to a Nvidia 560 or 570. BUT, you are fine. To the OP, Yes you saved yourself a lot of headache, wasted money, wasted time, and a LOT more. WoW is pathetic, stupid, and the most useless hunk of crap on the planet. Even EverQuest AFTER SOE ruined it is better. I would be willing to pay your SWTOR monthly fee to save you from wanting to shoot yourself after buying WoW. Have fun in SWTOR. Otherwise? Look at EverQuest. But whatever you do, avoid WoW like the black plague hell spawn it is. For those that like WoW... I feel sorry for you. They have pills for your ailment/condition....

Quite frankly, I do not believe the OP understands how things affect gameplay. Does this mean EVERY possible thing in a weekly patch ABSOLUTELY HAS to be uber important? In relation to the "I have never seen anyone request an emote be fixed for mounts" comment. I personally had a emote related issue while riding a waypoint speeder that almost caused the speeder not to work right. So, in BW's defense, perhaps that fix was so people that don't have speeders don't have to be or feel stuck without them. Try WALKING across all of Tatooine sometime. OMG, that is horrendous. I have done it, it sucks. I don't have a speeder skill, and I am lvl 27. I most likely will NEVER have a speeder skill either because I simply do not make enough credits in the game ( Which is a whole different argument). My point is that what if the emote skill could break something in the game and you don't understand that because you don't understand the black art of game programming. Just saying. I do not say this as if it is absolutely true. Just trying to say "what if ..."

While I may agree with the basis of your argument, and the facts herein. Let's just say I know they are working on the issue. What would help is having someone redesign slicing so it works for everyone and submit to BW. Makes sense, doesn't it?

For those of you that still don't get it. Here is proof BW is working to make the game fair. I agree with their actions. The ignorance regarding slicing has become stupidly ridiculous. Someone says the basic truth about slicing and all anyone wants to do is emo rage troll. How pathetic. I have seen some outright LIES from HELL and back regarding slicing. Getting rich in one day using slicing? Yea right, try again emo troll. Ignoring how useless slicing has become because of emo ragers? That is, quite sadly, too much of what I have read regarding slicing. I still say, lets make EVERY gathering skill LOSE 80% of the time. How about we make your archeology skill return with 1 rubat crystal, or treasure hunting return 1 single marilite. That would be the EXACT carry over of what was done to slicing. At the end of the day STOP STUPIDLY TRYING TO MAKE EVERYONE PLAY THE GAME YOUR WAY AND RUIN EVERYONE ELSES FUN LIKE A BUNCH OF TROLLS. Seriously, grow up. You want to see how your economics arguments apply to a game? Go look at eve online sometime, people. Grow up a little people. Prove your point with real facts or go home and STOP TROLLING. And everyone conveniently misses the fact that the carry over between the so called "free money button" and killing monsters works out the same. You can hit a mission and wait for 45 minutes, 1hour, or longer. And have that time or more on 5 characters. At the same time, you can camp the same single enemy in a game, spend 10 seconds or less killing it, wait 2 minutes, rinse lather repeat. The fact nobody wants to admit is that a lvl 50 character NEEDS those millions to survive. So that lvl 16 character earning all those credits might actually be funding a lvl 50 character. And before the emo rage starts about pvp and flying missions..... What if someone doesn't do either one? They are not limiting themselves, they are playing the game the way they want to. So by everyone playing the poor me too many credits in-game emo cry baby rant, just remember your FORCING others to play how YOU WOULD. So, the end result? SHAME ON YOU.

So what your really saying is that if you get "free money" AT ALL its an exploit and should be stopped? So monsters in the game shouldn't drop money? Or better yet, because of all the "economics" responses, anyone with a disability that is unable to work should not get that money simply because it's "free" and we should take it from them... right? After all, "free" is an evil exploit.

How much does it cost for a class skill at lvl 40? How much does it cost for a class skill at lvl 50? How much does it cost for crafting missions at lvl 40 or 50? How much does it cost for gear, weapons, ANYTHING at lvl 40 and 50? Try taking that into account. And, no, I am not at lvl 40+ so I do not have the figures, however, I know people who are.

And, again, the point is missed. Is everyone deliberately missing the point? Right in the freaking codex it says slicing is to make CREDITS. What part of this is not understood? SERIOUSLY, wake up. You don't have to craft while you level to be broke. Try not being able to buy your class skills, let alone craft because you don't have the credits. That's totally fun. This isn't "Star Wars grinding The Old Republic". Everyone needs to get off their high horse and shut up. Yes, this issue should be closed. It NEVER should have been a problem in the first place. Just because a few people made millions doesn't mean the game is broken, nor does it mean in the slightest that people took advantage. OH, and just as a case and point... right after the nerf the slicing nodes on Coruscant on the Juyo server worked (other than one or two), and today you cant use but maybe 1/3 or less. How would all of you that have gathering professions like it if suddenly your missions cost too much for you to want to do them because you got no gain and 66% or more of your gathering nodes didn't work??? You would 110% troll the forums and cry, just like your crying because people made credits from a profession that says right in the codex that SLICING IS A GATHERING PROFESSION FOR GETTING CREDIT BOXES AND AUGMENTS. Oh, and augments are about useless unless you have EXCEPTIONAL CRAFTED GEAR. Read the codex, shut up, and stop ruining SWTOR by being a forum troll hounding BW to "make the game fair..".

I happen to agree with both of you. Yet nobody will ever listen, because its never enough to them. Which is sad. The truth is that people ARE being punished. I never had the chance to make any funds on slicing. And my other skills don't make me any money either. Slicing would have been my way out of being constantly broke and creditless. But, because of the vorpal nerfsword of punishing has been shoved in a unmentionable dark place of everyone's anatomy, the game is losing its "fun" edge. Why? because earning credits its a total PITA and a half. I LOVE farming, I LOVE going out and killing random monsters. But on Tatooine, I'm sick of it, because I don't get anything out of it. The is not fun when you hit a brick wall and you lose ALL your meager credits just to ATTEMPT to stay afloat. My characters are all poor. Thank you nerf loving whiny people. You are well on your way to ruining a good game. Congratulations for trolling the forums. Perhaps slicing DID need to be tweaked, but not so bad that the skill is ruined. How about we all get together and spam forums saying how unfair other professions are because they get credits and force a nerf on them that is so bad you lose more than gain. It's ONLY fair you know. All skills should be 100% equal, right? So those missions your companions are running should cause you to LOSE atleast 80% of time, that's equal and totally fair. See what nerf loving does?

The only true reason BW nerfed slicing was because of whiny idiots that are mad that others had slicing and they didn't think to make a slicer. From everything I have read, all I see for the most part is people that had slicing saying "I made X millions, it needed nerfed", or the ones that think " OMG slicers make SOOO much.. that's not fair"... Those ideals are idiotic at the core. Now with the slicing nerf, the game has more issues than not. Who truly gives a damn if someone else has a million credits???? Whine some more because you don't have a million or better yet, whine because you have them and don't want others to make a million. BW listened to the moaning and groaning of whiny people who can't stand seeing others succeed. THAT is the core issue. If you think any differently, go back to wow, rappelz, or some other pathetic game and stop trying to ruin SWTOR. End of story.

And, people like me are left in the cold... broke, and unable to craft, sell, purchase, or even level correctly while others laugh and troll saying they are doing fine when they really are not.

I say just solve the whole problem and reverse the changes. nobody wants to listen, everyone wants to complain (I realize I am doing a fair share of complaining as well, but for good reason regardless of what anyone says. The truth of what I post is still the truth and not opinion as per my lack of credits in-game. And it is not "user error" that I am not making enough funds). Put things back the way they were, and stop listening to the useless complainers. It's no fun being broke. I like to earn my way in games, however, as things stand... That is not possible without doing grinding in amounts even I hate. Just reverse the change and be done with it. Who cares how rich others get. I am poor in real life, I do not wish to be poor in a game world as well. I play the game to forget, not relive my real life. Living on disability from being a disabled army veteran is a pain, literally.

I was referring to the credit boxes themselves. Not the nodes.

Anyone who thinks that the boxes from slicing gives more than credits, doesnt slice. When you slice you get a white rarity, green, blue, etc box that yields credits. The only way you get anything else is running missions. On the missions you get credit boxes most frequently, but you can get shematics, and crafting missions. But from just the slicing boxes, all you get is credits. And, after this nerf, nobody wants to spend 1000 credits on a missions just to get 600 or 800 in return. It makes NO sense whatsoever. The credits ARE your reward for the missions. The schematics and mission items are just a bonus on occasion.

My roommate has slicing on one of his republic toons. He showed me his slicing boxes from several missions. Every box was no higher than 80% of what he spent on the mission. He loses money on every mission he does. As for me, I am no longer making profit either. Before the patch I was making a LITTLE profit. Now, after the nerf, I am making nothing.

As a point on other crafts, how is an artifice supposed to craft a purple rarity enhancement if they don't have Chrysopaz gems that never get rewarded from missions and are NEVER on the auction block. And when they are, they sell for atleast 5000 credits EACH. I am an artifice, and I lack materials to craft. I have tried doing missions, but I am out of money. So I have no way to get my items to even sell on the auction block at all. So, from my standpoint, without slicing around making money, I am losing. Until I find a way to make some credits, I am deadlocked from crafting let alone leveling.

Apparently your missing my point. I don't have the credit income to start with. so "for crying out loud" stop trolling.

Quite frankly, I don't give a damn about the slicing making money. I may not like the nerf, but my central argument is a lack of credit income. If slicing makes me the credits I NEED to survive, then I am damn well going to fight my *** off to make it change and be profitable. Like I have stated before, at lvl 26 my mission rewards don't give me enough credits, and killing random enemies (which i enjoy doing) only gets me 1 MAYBE 2 trash items to sell every 6-10 enemies. How am I suppose to survive in this mmo with 0 credits? That is my central argument, and also the argument of many others. I do not wish to play this game being poor. I also don't expect to be a billionaire at lvl 13. I want the credits to survive, that's it. I don't mind grinding to get them, so long as I ACTUALLY get the credits. This is why I am not playing my lvl 26 sage. I have no meny for ANYTHING. I can not craft, I can not buy the armor I need... Hell, I am not even REMOTELY close to getting that damn speeder skill. Sure a lot of people say "oh screw you.. I had that at lvl 13..." I say ********. Find a way to increase credit gain without breaking the game. That is ALL I want.
