So? Do you know that survey companies don't go around polling 50% of the population? They usually barely even poll 0.001% of the population (0.001 to 0.01 depending on the actual size), but they still can come up with reasonable results. This automatic dismissal of the opinion of the forums is as troublesome as the attempt to portray it as the only representative of the whole player base.

Metrics said that subs will come back with BW lack of repeatable content, cutting-costs, and letting go of staff people, and putting game closer to maintenance mode!

Your forgetting the fact that a lot of forum Drama Queens (in all online outlets, not just here) are so self deluded about their own importance that they cant comprehend that their -opinion- isnt the supreme will of the universe
Actually BW actively monitors all social media outlets for the game - There are special search engines supplied by google and others that can crawl web sites and perform a keyword search which will help BW monitor and track any discussion about their game. Even the devs stated that they are continuously monitoring all discussion and gaming sites that reference this game, I didnt forget your fact on drama - I just didnt elaborate on it

How do you measure these metrics exactly?
Have you ever done forecasting or market analysis? these are discussions that are held I'm sure in meetings for BW -- How old are you ? Have you ever been part of a project or software deployment? is so you would consider these things...

Many players posts are often posted in anger or disappointment and what not .. here is some thing to consider.

How BW will evaluate your concerns in these forums..
BW gathers metrics and data on many things e.g.
- How many new free accounts were opened?
- How many free accounts are closed?
- Last active date for account activity ( free, subscriber, etc.. )
- How many sub accounts are inactive?
- How many Sub accounts are active ? --- these accounts are the gravy - the ones that pay the bills ---
- How many subscriber accounts are unsubscribed in the last week , month , 3 months ...etc.
- How do we attract new sub accounts ? --- Potential gravy------
- How do we get previous subs back ?
These are the types of metrics and more Im sure that are pondered in a meeting.
Forum users account for 0.2 % out of the subscribers. Most players couldn't be bothered to spend their time in these discussion forums.
So when BW makes a change or acts on a game mechanic- its not your opinion ( in these forums ) but a huge amount of back end data that gets analyzed then a decision is made there - they also have a software that monitors each servers chat logs and they do a keyword search of these logs that can help formulate these metrics.
So when you are voicing a complaint or a "beef" here in these forums - bear in mind your voice is as loud as a pin drop at a NASCAR race.

Eric isn't paid to put up with some of the rage in this thread to be fair. He's passed on a message (and even apologised), what do you all expect him to be able to do? Go into the database and check each and every single account / character and restore every single item that was lost in a partial hardware failure event?
I'm not saying what has happened is nice for the players, and I do think BioWare should look at trying some form of compensation in light of this event, but taking it out on the community manager isn't going to help anything, more the opposite most likely.
Eric is the face of BW in these forums, he is the Forum GM and the main POC. Therefore people mad at BW will invoke his name and he in turn will convey the info in a meeting of his peers and management - from which they will discuss the on goings of the game. It is in this meeting where Eric will convey people's opinions and what not in the forums ( thats only 0.2% of paid subs) of gamer's on the servers feelings. This would be different if ALL players voiced their issues on these Forum , but sadly just a very small percent are being vocal in this medium.
Free players and non subs - unfortunately- your voice does not bring home the Bacon...

Mass pulled Jedi in Heroic 2+ Recruitment (Empire Nar Shadda), 18 at once. Used defensive skills and a medpac, otherwise influence 5 HK-51 healed through it fine.
This can't be what they intended. The mission before 1 group pull on level was a decent fight (3 jedi). 2 You could may be pull off (6 jedi) but most likely were dead. This was 6 groups.
Yeah of course for all you put away your companion for a challenge people... Powertech. And I have been for quite a few things. But only so much you can do without heals.
Is this really how nerfed people want the game?
Edit: forgot used Unity did not use Heroic Moment.
Edit 2: Lowest I got was 40% which triggered Kolto Overload. HK droped to 25 because I initially missed 4 or so adds that got on him.

Hmm, I'm interested in joining you.
I personally steered clear of most guilds because of the atmosphere surrounding most of them. But after reading about what kind of guild you're trying to run, It peeked my interest and ill be glad to try and contribute. I'll also shoot you in message in-game when i get the chance.
I too am intrigued- I have sworn of guild after the last fiasco of exploiting and dishonesty, I'm interested in joining too

Whilst I agree the troll atmosphere is a bit crap, It is contained to /1 usually . I find the real community in this game comes from guilds. Get a nice guild even if its just social and that's loads better.
Yea ... its finding the nice guild thats the problem... define nice and who wants to spend a long time deciphering the sales pitch from infants with a purse and a website..

Well, I agree the people in the game can be explicitly rude and quite offensive, my remedy is to turn of chat totally and only keep system notification and whispers on . That way I dont get a squirrel on my screen when they are talking some random thought or you watch as they tear a person down. Even guilds are quite a playground that includes the drunks , the bullies and the perverts all with access to a Team speak to voice their vulgar incantations of themselves and extend their digital persona's.

I made asked to take person out in group instead of just posting a video which very easy to modify to give false appearance and show them first hand how wrong they where that not only was things quite soloable with companions now instead he just being a complainer and faking his own videos to make it look like companions are worse than they are in ho[es to get them to give the over powered companions back. the ones crying its imposible to solo now have thier own lack of ability as players to blame if they can nt do anything with out companion doing 99-100% of the work

Why do we care if these people crying for their op companions leave? I mean really lets put the sugar coating and political correctness side. They are lazy and frankly suck at this game . We have already spent hours writing guides, youtube videos, offering help, and etc . ........
Well lets see, your one of "Those" players .. an elitist or a ops infant that screams and shouts when he doesn't get his way ... Not all players enjoy your company and prefer to entertain themselves playing the game in story and solo mode as to not be ridiculed and insulted by children like you..
The Nerf rings of bad change to a game we enjoy... memoirs of SWG comes to mind - remember Smedly .. remember what he did and you will know why a small nerf to a gaming mechanic can ruin the whole game and yes even take away your precious OP.. So I would defiantly pay attention to Sub Paying players with a gripe... one day it may be you gripping . There are many game-styles of play , Balance and fun should stay paramount.

The points mentioned in patch notes didnt happen , it appears everything that was broke ...Still is broke.
example: That daily mission to fix the last log , still not there ... plus just look at the posts of other about the other fine fixes, you guys really need to do some QA here.
