  1. All I'm seeing in this thread is a bunch of people scared of having their terrible dps revealed to everyone. Different excuses, but the truth is buryed in each and every one of the anti meter posts. A fear of knowledge and the rejection resulting from that knowledge. Would you rather someone told people that smoking can lead to increased health risks or just let everyone believe what he or she wants to? Same concept is the same. Pointless anti meter spam is pointless.
  2. I love see'n meters posted in chat or in guild chat. Absolutely love to see them. Especially when it isn't me doing it. That tells me that I'm running with my kind of crowd. The kind of crowd that plays to compete and not just mash buttons blindly.
  3. I have been struggling with a decision of whether or not to continue playing this game for a few reasons. The lack of a combat log. The lack of UI customization. The lack of a Macro system. The lack of a competitive end game enviroment. The aweful world pvp that relatively does not exist. Each of us play MMo's for his or her own respective reasons. Mine is competition. I enjoy competing with other guilds and with my fellow raiders. Not being able to compare my dps or hps with other individuals completely denies me the liberty of my reason for playing these games. It has been quite some time since I have played an MMo that on release did not have any combat log whatsoever. Bioware has taken the extra step of not providing a combat log to remove the ability to compare damage and healing abilities. The shere fact that the combat log does not exist scares me. That leads me to believe that there will not be a damage parser and that the company has no intentions of ever allowing one. Chances are I will not pay for another month subscription. My plan is to cancel my subscription and go back to playing Rift. I will watch the PTR forums and continue to check for an update that includes a combat log and a damage/healing meter. Unfortunately until I see an update with these features I will not be coming back to this game. The other random reasons for me struggling with my decision to possibly quit are not as important to me as the combat log and damage/healing meter. I could live without them. The meter, I'm sorry but that's just a must have for me when I play an MMo. Without a meter, there is NO competition.
  4. Today is the first day this has started happening. Pretty sure it's an exploit, just asking here for Bioware to investigate.
  5. Been running into a couple Imperial Agents in the war zones that are able to 2 shot anyone. I have almost full pvp gear and over 14k hp. I have come across about 3 Imperial Agents that are able to kill me in 2 hits from full hp. Something broke?
  6. Ran a HM the other day. Was at a boss and the healer died. I ask him, "How did you die?" he responds, "I don't know." That's when it really hit me...we had no way to find out. Epic developer fail at it's finest. No combat log often ='s No clue what just went down.
  7. Exactly. How can anyone get any better if they have no clue that they can get better? If you never know that you suck because you have no basis to build upon than you will always be a baddie. That's a fact. Personally I find the lack of a combat log to be a HUGE failure on Biowares part. I'm not talking about a damage meter, UI customization or Mods. There is no COMBAT text in the chat window...NONE whatsoever.... Who in the heck was in charge of making that decisions? The MMo population is competitive in nature. Whether they admit to it or not. Want to know why WoW made millions of dollars off of millions of subscriptions for multiple years? Because they made decisions that appealed to the competition. Plain and simple. Look into it, it'll blow your mind when you really look into it. Note to Lucas Arts and Bioware shareholders: Whoever is in charge of deciding to not place a combat log tab in the chat window is going to lose you billions of potential dollars. Over time, it'll happen. History has taught us this truth. This game has the potential to be a WoW killer, if and only if the right decision are made. Appeal to the competition and this game will blow the rest away.
  8. I am for macro's provided they have limits. It is my opinion that macros are just fine so long as they do not allow abilities with different cooldowns to be macro'd in together. With the exception of trinkets. What I mean by this is that if one ability has a 6 second cooldown and another has a 10 second cooldown, those two abilities should NOT be able to be macro'd in together. Macro's are fine provided they have limitations which keep them from turning the game into a one button mashing competition. Anyone play warriors in Rift?...perfect example. In regards to the 3rd party customization of UI's. I am 100% for this. It is my client, not yours, it should be my choice what my UI looks like, not yours. If you disagree with this than you disagree with freedom. Thankfully this game was made in America, chances are we will get damage meters, macros and UI customization, because in America we favor freedom of choice. On that note... Name me one successful MMo that has been released in the past 8 years that did not have damage meters, custom UIs and macros. I can think of several unsuccessful ones that did not have these options. The MMo population is older now. The trolls got smarter, the QQ'ers cry moar, and the genre expects more from everyone especially the game developers. I've said this in the past 4 major MMo releases. The game will get the options that the majority desires and that majority desires freedom of choice. Deal with it. Mark my words, it ALWAYS happens. Every single time. Bet.
  9. Heh, figured I read some of the posts in this thread to see if it was like similar threads in EVERY SINGLE MMo that has been released in the past recent years. And it is. People cry about damage meters, people defend damage meters, people reason with damage meters, etc, etc, etc. In the end...Damage meters exist in the game whether or not you want them to. Check the MMo history book, every single P2P MMo eventually has damage meters. It's gonna happen, get over it. You can delude yourself into thinking otherwise if that makes your boat float. Anyhow, can't wait for a damage meter, really excited to begin building rotations and such.
  10. There was an official post stating the search function would be down so I just made this post to ask if anyone knew. Is there a damage meter out there and if so where can I download it from? I searched google to no avail.
  11. Heres a new riddle to pass the time. A blue house is made of blue bricks. A yellow house is made of yellow bricks. A red house is made of red bricks. An orange house is made of orange bricks. What would a green house be made of?
  12. Here's a riddle to pass the time. First one to answer correcly gets a cookie! My age today is three times what it will be in three years minus three times what my age was three years ago. How old am I?
  13. They're doing extra waves today, it's dang near a guarentee that all of Nov is getting in today.
