  1. Hmm...this is the general forums, so there can only be two explanations: 1) Bioware liez! 2) Those people are just trying to "get their moneys' worth" before canceling and subsequently trolling the forums for the rest of their lives.
  2. Condescending explanation: Your squishy, pink subconscious wouldn't allow you to unsubscribe after having found its true purpose of wasting other meatbags' time on a 24/7 basis.
  3. Yes, I'll be keeping my subscription! I am having a great time in SWTOR, as I actually find myself interested in the PvE content the game has to offer as opposed to any other MMO I have played. The engaging story and emphasis on community (instead of mindless queues) have really sold me. I truly find the negativity on these forums mind-boggling, as I encounter none of it in-game. I mean, the general forums may as well be called "hyperbolic statements by those with an axe to grind." Honestly, the only reason I am posting and not playing is because of scheduled maintenance.
  4. Reserved for...more great ideas. [Force Persuade] This is not a shameless bump. >_> <_<
  5. Fellow SWTORs, I'd like to talk about fun game improvements. Bug squasing, class balancing, graphical tweaks, etc. need not apply, as they will always be with us. Let's talk about features beyond mundane technical quibbles, be they plausible in a future patch or expansion, that would enrich the game world and keep players interested. I'll list a few ideas below, and please feel free to add your own. *note* This is a place to consolidate ideas. I'm sure the search button would reveal all of them individually, buried under pages of pure whining. 1. Pazaak: The legendary card game from KOTOR is a glaring omission from SWTOR. Much like in KOTOR, cards could be bought or found via drops. Perhaps wagers could be built into the system in addition to a "for fun" mode. Also, monthly Pazaak tournaments with titles and rare prizes would make for pretty entertaining events. 2. Swoop Racing: KOTOR featured a very basic racing mini-game, and SWTOR could benefit from such an addition, also. Unique titles, speeders, outfits, and the like would add incentive to advancing one's racing record. Perhaps team racing would even prove popular amongst guilds. 3. Beast Mounts: The models for many large beasts are already in SWTOR, and there is certainly lore precedent for beast riding. Determining speed in comparison to existing speeders could prove problematic, but there's no doubt the players would enjoy more variety. 4. Player-Crafted Vanity Pets: Biochem and cybertech would make the most sense here, but difficult-to-craft, BOE vanity items, especially pets (robots, genetically engineered beasts, etc.) could add some life to the player economy and incentivize crafting. I'll add more ideas as folks respond!
