    Personally, I am trying to wrap my head around how they are claiming that the focus of this next patch is "Guilds". I mean, come on the functionality of guild's right now is laughable at best, and all they can throw us are some small guild Xp and reputation bonuses? Where is the calendar? No changes/updates to the guild management window? No emblems? No in-game method of guild recruitment besides spamming/annoying people in General chat?

     

    It is utterly ridiculous that over a year and a half in that guild functionality is as big a disappointment as it is. I remember watching the Guild Summit last year and them saying that the most important part of an MMO is the guild's, and then to have them proceed to never implement any of the things they teased besides the guild bank.

     

    I understand that there are tons of bugs in this game, and those should take priority, but it seems like every time they fix one, two or three more pop up and features (besides just guild functionality upgrades) that the entire community have been asking for continue to be pushed back or "put on the wall of crazy". How is adding stock features of the majority of the current MMO's on the market considered "crazy"? Were all of the competent dev's laid off last year?

     

    Where is all the extra revenue that was talked about in the last EA Earnings Report going? Are you not putting it back into the game? Adding more devs? More CS reps? I just find the entire situation frustrating and today's livestream didn't do anything to ease that frustration in myself and many in the community.

    Guild Leaders: Xemini & Dalara

     

     

     

     

    Knights of Darkbane is a small Republic guild that wishes to expand its membership. The group is composed of adult players, who are friends and family, ranging in age from mid-twenties to early sixties. We have singles, marrieds, parents, grandparents and siblings. All of us are experienced raiders, but we are neither elitist, nor hardcore. We are casual players, but do take our commitment to one another and the guild seriously. Our philosophy is simple: Real life comes first. This is a game. Have fun!

     

    We look forward to welcoming new members into our virtual clan. To that end, we are searching for compatible people who will blend well with us. Our ultimate goal is to create a core group that will grow into a cohesive Ops team able to progress through endgame content.

     

    Our ideal candidate is:

    • Friendly, cooperative, willing to help, kind, and respectful toward others.

    • The group is bi-coastal, so any North American time zone is fine.

    • Age 18+ -- Adult language is tolerated in moderation as long as it does not become excessive, or obscene. In movie terms we are R-rated. We appreciate a good off-color joke, or bawdy remark, but we know where the line is and don’t cross it.

    • If you are mature, have a good attitude, a sense of humor, are willing to wipe a few times to learn fight mechanics, are reliable and show up when you say you will, you will fit right in.

     

    Drama queens and elitist snobs need not apply.

    Hardcore players, we honor your dedication, but unless you are looking for a casual, laid-back change of pace, we are probably not the right guild for you. There are no server firsts swirling in the depths of our crystal ball.

    Looking for a Tank with a dps off-spec to fill in when one of our main tanks is unable to make a run.

     

    Looking for a Healer (smuggler/commando preferred) with a Dps off-spec to fill in as heals when one of our healer's can't make the run.

    No one can say this game is perfect, it is far from it. But, after reading this article I couldn't help but think to myself that this guy had some serious hate for this game. Now, I don't know that the fact that he used to work for EA had anything to do with this hate he was spewing, but I wouldn't be surprised. Oh, and I can't tell you how tired I am of hearing how BW/EA never told anyone that they had to subscribe to get their cartel coins, as I either read a blog/forum post/watched a livestream video of them telling people this at least 10 different times combined.

     

    I just can't help but think that this article was written by someone scorned somehow. I would have enjoyed the article more if it was written with less bias and more facts. The following quote made me chuckle and shake my head at how unprofessional and childish this made the author of this article look.

     

    you buy a box, which might have a mount, but probably has a piece of **** in it instead. Literally. Like, an object you right-click on and it smears it on your character's face, just to remind you how bad an idea it was to buy a gamble box.

     

    Really?

     

    So there is my two cents about that article. While I agree that there are many problems in this game that we all hope will be fixed, I don't think this article gives a fair portrayal of this game.
