  1. You play a commando. You are the definition of a second class citizen. You will get your problems fixed when the more favored classes have their issues addressed first. This is how it is and always will be. Sit on the fleet and twiddle your thumbs until one of the devs remembers that your class actually exists
  2. I second this idea.And when the enemy player dies it should automatically change whatever class the enemy is into a sorc also. Until eventually we all play sorcs and bioware can focus on balancing only one class because as developers it seems like balancing more than one class is too hard for them
  3. How could you forget about sorcs? Haven't you heard that their healing is so inferior to others? I dont think the nerf to op and merc healing was enough. I think that Force Barrier should now be a toggle ability and always stays on. And while Force Barrier is active all heals can now be casted on the move and through LOS along with 100000m range
  4. Your totally right what was I thinking. OPs are way more overtuned than sorcs sins and pts. like pts burst is so minimal to an ops. Sins Mobility is so inferior to an OPs and Sorcs have no where near the survivability that ops do. That new Operative Force Barrier and Phase Walk combo is OP right
  5. Surprised to see this thread got such positive feedback. Glad you guys are giving some suggestions on what can be done. Stay positive guys, this thread has almost more views than some of the stickies in the Merc/Mando Forums. Keep voicing your opinions, let the devs know that this isn't right. I hope that one of these days Musco or someone who is supposed to be looking at these forums grows a pair and speaks up. I wish we could go back to the 55 days where devs actually payed more attention to what was wrong with their game instead of finding the best way to milk money out of their consumers.
  6. Bruh I dont think its that devs dont care about pve or pvp anymore i think they dont care about class balancing. In PVP Sorcs,Sins,and PTs dominate with the rest of the classes way behind
  7. Ok so as a player all I really do in this game is PvP because I lack the time to do progressive raiding so if the results in PvE are different I apologize. I Recently made a post about the merc/mando defensives and it gained a good bit of popularity with 99% of them agreeing that the defensive's are horrid but This post isn't about mercs its about two other classes that I don't play anymore but am curious to know your reasoning about class balancing. I would like to know the reasoning behind the Op/Scoundrel's 20% nerf to crit damage. Like even when it was at 30% it wasn't even the highest dps spec yet AP PT's get to keep their god tier burst with basically more utilities at this point. Granted I don't even main these classes but I have played them a crap ton in 3.0-3.3. It is really discouraging to see you as developers buffing Madness Sorcs/ Healing Sorcs/ Deception Sin/ AP PT in 4.0 when they have already have had their time to shine. You guys nerfed Op healing and merc healing in 3.3 which was super uncalled for imo. They weren't even parsing the same as sorcs back then and now sorcs are untouchable. As a player who doesn't play the holy trinity of Sin/Sorc/PT I would really like to know if you guys agree that their are some major balancing issues atm. Throughout Shadow of Revan It was sorcs, sins, pts that conquered pvp and it looks like KotFE will be the same. In my honest opinion this is worse than smash being OP for 2 years like it was back in the day but instead we have three classes that are the equivalent of smash. I'm not looking for changes to be made but i am curious to see if a developer actually reads these forums and makes responses. If so could we get a developers voiced opinion on the topic of class balance? Preferably Musco or someone who is somewhat active on the forums.
  8. Meh I guess I will through in my biased input. I really only play this game for pvp. I dont have time to commit to a raid group so I just happened to be way passed valor rank 40 to get pierce. I can see where other players who do not like pvp are disappointed but in my honest opinion I think that its a refreshing way to the questing system. And you can get those 20 WZs done in a night if you really want to .
  9. I see where some people aren't happy with the new style they are going for with the side quest but I think that they are trying to give that old Kotor 1 and 2 feel. I personally like not hearing my characters voice tbh
  10. Skytor you already said on a live stream that the 4.0 changes are not enough. Why post a video of a match where you get completely ignored on all 3 fights? You know this is not how a match plays out with merc in solo on a regular basis, and you know good well that the other matches are you getting tunneled by 3-4 dps with no peels. Come on man. Help highlight the problem. You said it yourself that mercs are not in a good position. They haven't been in a good position for two and a half years.
  11. So I have been thinking about some of the much needed buffs for Sorcs/Sages. Clearly atm they are the weakest class in pvp. I know that the devs have already set their changes in place for 4.0 so I would like to give the devs some ideas for 5.0 and so on. 5.0 Sorcerers and Sages will get aerial combat. I've noticed that sorcerers just aren't carrying solo ranked arena matches like they should be. So what we should do is give them the ability to fly 60 meters off the ground at all times. Meanwhile every other class will be grounded so that Sorcerers/Sages have a fair chance at winning. All Sorcerer/Sages abilities will now reach 100 meters. On a side note, Operatives and Mercenaries will receive another healing nerf and we will buff the sorcerer/sage healing like we did in our amazing 3.3 patch. 6.0 (if SWTOR makes if this far) Sorcerers/Sages get the new ability (.kill) If you guys remember in the August Dev Stream. They had a large amount of technical difficulties so they had to run through everything again for the viewers, but they introduced to us an amazing Dev ability. (Kill) is an ability that immediately targets the nearest enemy in 1000 meters and instantly reduces their health to 0. I think that by the time SWTOR reaches patch 6.0, Marauder, Mercenaries, and Snipers will be knocking on the FOTM Door and we don't want them taking our place as kings of pvp right? So this will guarantee our 3k rating in solos and grouped! It will be super balanced I promise. In all seriousness I think these buffs are needed. This class having the highest rating just isn't enough for me in my opinion. I think that instead of introducing these changes in 5.0 and 6.0 we should put them in the game during 4.1 and 4.2. If you agree with me just comment below! Let the devs know we really are the worst PvP class in the game. Even worse than Mercenaries!
  12. This crap is ridiculous. How can you neglect a class for 2 years when you see forum post after forum post about how hard it is to be a viable contender in solo ranked. Adding a 20m disengage is only going to delay your death. I can't instant concussive, net , stun, and use HO on three different people all in one GCD. Like it seriously blows my mind that as a developer you would implement a pvp system where only classes with the best defensives can save you from being tunneled. The only ranked scenario where merc is viable is in grouped but the problem is that group ranked is dead. So everyone just runs solos all day with their pts,sins,and sorcs. the fact that those 3 classes are getting the biggest buffs in 4.0 surely says a a lot about your game. Bounty Hunter/Trooper defensives are a complete joke to Barrier,Roll, and all 30 of the jugg defensives. The only reason AP PT is viable is because you give them a faster HO than mercs, and the most insane burst in the game. Im sure the people who will comment are gonna want me to provide constructive criticism but idk what to suggest except to strip the mando/merc defensives and start over. People have attempted to give ideas on how to fix this problem for years yet you dont respond to a single post as a dev its pretty poor. Why do mercs always get tunneled in solo? Because they cant stop a team tunneling them like the other classes can. If you guys really want a quick fix then i guess just strip solos out of the game. That way group ranked can be the real place for competitive play. Its funny how a game like wow can implement arena before you and get it right the first time yet all you guys do is show us flashy ranked rewards and continue to buff all the fotm classes to unfathomable limits. Call it a QQ post all you want im just tired and frustrated that the class I love is always in the worst spot for pvp.
  13. Hey everyone, hope you guys are having a nice day. I've wanted to ask this question for a while but, I decided to wait until the game was established and on its feet for a good month. I've noticed that there isn't a census for advanced classes yet so, I am going to start asking for opinions. I think we can all agree that Sorcerers are the favorite for right now but, what do you guys think the most played from greatest to least is. For me(Republic Player) its been Sage, Sentinel, Commando, Shadow, Guardian, Gunslinger, Vanguard, and Scoundrel. Now it might be different for you guys and thats why I am asking So if you guys could let me know what you're opinions are that would be great.
