For someone who is such a fan of the game, you spend alot of time on the forums. Promise me that, if thay add sandbox features, you will man up and quit! And when you do, can i have your stuff?

Anyone else notice that there are the same 3 people trashing this idea? For the masses who seem to want nothing added, they seem to be awful quiet. I don't know how often I have to repeat it, if it ever happened, the way i see it, then if you didn't want to partake, you wouldn't have to! It's like the space mini game here, you don't have to play it to advance, it's there for people who may enjoy it. All you have done is shown that you are the ME, ME, ME! You try to crush everything you don't like, when there may be some who would like to see something added. If you think this game is going to stay exactly the same, 1 year from now you are sadly mistaken. And if they do add sandbox ELEMENTS, (not change the entire game. ELEMENTS! in case you missed that!) What are you going to do? quit?

So, a planet that you would not have to visit if you didn't want to, makes your game fail how? You don't like the idea, plain and simple. That's what your argument boils down to. That's it. You make no compelling argument against it, your whole argument is sad. My whole point was not to take away anything from the game, just add something for peeps who dislike doing the same thing for months on end. how can adding something be bad?

What I'm saying is adding some sandbox elements, not changing the game to a sandbox. Let's be honest, the all to linear themepark model is not working like they hoped. Add a few Sandboxy things and let's se what happens.

Ok, where is your proof showing JTL lost more people than it gained? And the NGE saved the game? You mean the game that is no longer around? And I believe he is asking for Sandbox elements, not a complete re-direct.

If you have canceled your account, then why waste your time here? So, what could asking for some of the sandbox elements hurt? Are you telling me what they have in place is working as well as they BW thought? Because if you think that they shouldn't consider some other things, like maybe some sandbox elements, then BW Austin may not be at the end of their layoffs.

I appreciate your post, this is an excellent way to have a dialogue. My use of the "sandbox" term is aimed at creating some of your own things to do. Decorating Non-instanced housing, hence my asking for a planet. cities would be great, but i'd take what i can get. Exploring without "roads" and I love your hunting idea. I'm fine with the crafting as it is currently, but being able to harvest would be cool. (I enjoyed making harvestor runs though.) Player NPC vendors. Just because I liked visiting different shops looking for different items. Look, all I'm saying is throw those of us who enjoy these kinds of things a bone. I think it could be done, without forcing those peeps to have to take part. I, myself can't see me doing the same things over and over forever.

The in-game community is really lacking. While the bugs made SWG unplayable for some, I can't think of a better in-game community. Point is, I for one, would love to be able to customize/decorate my ship. I would be able to do this while taking a break from pvp, daily missions and ops. I would love to have a house, planetside. to show off my trophys/collections of things I've found in my travels. It could be just one planet, if people didn't want the sandbox elements, they would not have to visit it. It would mainly be a social destination, for those of us who enjoy that aspect of the MMO. Maybe have mobs of high level creatures, that guilds could use to hunt as guild events, to build camraderie. Come on, give us social players a place to call our own. Thanks!
