  1. Just wanted to point out that every class gets a version of Blitz. It's simply designed to make PvE soloing quicker for everyone. Same with our ability that heals over time, but requires a companion to use.
  2. Use reserve powercell for Incendiary Round whenever possible. Opener: Assault Plastique -> Reserve Powercell -> Incendiary Round. With Assualt talents, Reserve Powercell has a much lower cooldown (down to about 30sec i believe with 100% crit)
  3. Starting from 0/0/31 Blaster Augs spec - http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801bMZMsZfhrbzGhrs.1 Steely Resolve spec - http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#801hMhZ0MZfhrbzGhrs.1 Not sure where those last two points are best put. +40% armorpen or +6% crit chance to elemental Gains of Blaster Augs over Steely resolve: +3% crit for Stockstrike, Assault Plastique +9% crit for Incendiary Round, Plasma Cell, Ion Pulse +20% High Impact Bolt armorpen (not sure how armorpen works, if additive or multiplicative) Gains of Steely Resolve over Blaster Augs +9% aim (less than 1% crit, can't remember the power figures, maybe about 40?) +2% damage for Plasma Cell, Incendiary Round, Ion Pulse Always thought the Blaster Augs spec was better, but just seen a lot of people with Steely Resolve specs. Also, this is for raiding dps, so looking for optimal dps. My optional talents go to extra utility or pvp, instead of survivability. Many of our survivability talents are meh anyway for pve. Nightvision scope: Would only help with a few boss attacks, most only going to the tank. Reflexive shield: Only worth it if you are constantly taking damage. Soldier's Endurance: This talent is barely worth taking for tanks, let alone dps. Power armor would be the only talent worth taking. But anyways, just looking for people's thoughts. Seen a few of the hybrid specs, and looking at trying them out (picking up gut instead of AP looks nice, especially since you can't really just compare the two, have to compare the small difference between AP and sticky grenade instead).
  4. Die as the opposing team is running to our goal. Get ressed and out the door right before they come down the ramps. Harpoon their carrier up to our safe zone. Instantly dies and the balls goes to one of us (laugh our asses off in vent). It feels like an exploit, but remember what Baron Deathmark says: "... Cheating [is] encouraged!"
  5. Yes you can, it's costly though. About 28k for a purple level 56. However, higher level epics do not have armoring, so anything higher quality would be better since you can't make it scale in some ways.
  6. You can have as many mission/gathering skills as you please, the limit is only on Crafting skills. So I couldn't drop my gathering skills now they are at 400 and I have all my Cybertech grenades, and pick up Biochem in place of one. One of my alts has 3 gathering skills to feed my other alts.
  7. Slicing is supposed to be an alternative to Underworld Trading for Cybertech. Either make better stuff, or more stuff (slicing can still make you money by selling crafteds that not many others have)
  8. Armoring One of the Heroic level 50 dailies gives an epic quality grade 22 armoring. ie, the best armoring we could make For only 8 daily commendations, you can buy an epic grade 23 armoring. Mods Again, one of the heroic level 50 dailies gives an epic quality grade 22 armoring, but this time usually better than what we can make (ie, +absorb instead of pow or crit) And you can always rip the mods out of pvp/pve tier that is much much better. Droid parts. Essentially companion gear for only 3 out of 40 companions (who really gears C2?). But custom droid parts we don't make are in such abundance, it falls to the modifications, which are obsolete anyway. Ship Parts All the space missions are doable without our epic ship upgrades. They just make them easier. But with my time, it's more productive to do dailies and hard modes/warzones. ...So in endgame, cybertech = reusable grenades, which I must say are good outside of pvp for tank. Gives much more utility to my kit. Anyone know if REing the armoring /mods that are grade 23+ can give the recipe for it? I know it was possible for enhancements at lower levels, but even if it were possible, by the time you got the recipe, you would have used enough of the modifications to make it pointless. Thinking about switching to Biochem, just for all the reusables. Save tons of money, and would always be available. Wouldn't feel bad about popping one in pvp or while soloing.
  9. Companion affection/efficiency does not show up on the mission select list, to see if it impacts at all, just start a mission with one companion, and another with C2-N2 and compare the time left.
  10. Crafting Critical - Better chance to make exceptional (augment slot) Note that some crafting recipes cannot crit, such as item modifications (yo dawg, we heard you liked mods, so we put a mod slot in your mod) So you'll never see things like +5 Cybertech crit Efficiency - Lower time to craft Gathering Critical - Better chance to get extra materials Efficiency - Lower time to gather Mission Critical - Better chance of higher quality items (blues and purples from general missions like companion gifts/lockboxes, purples from missions that usually give blues like underworld metals) Efficiency - Lower time for the mission Note that any lower time for a mission is not reflected in the crew skills pane describing the mission, but when the mission is actually started.
  11. Glad to see TORhead getting heavily updated. Used to only have item data, no information on obtaining.
  12. Droid "armor" are used for all droids. Each droid can equip 2 cores, 2 motors, 2 parts, and a Sensor unit (and some other non-cybertech). Jedi Knight's first companion is a droid, so for starters you can sell them. For now, just focus on making item modifications, and REing them to make better ones.
