  1. So you admit you're just trying to troll and haven't read my actual argument? Like 95% of everyone else who saw 'CM' and went into rage mode.

Keep it up though raiders! Keep calling me the entitled one because I'm calling for equal content across the different play styles.

Oh yeah why not? but make it really equal, and those nasty gazilion Fluff items that only drop from Cartel Packs(dont mention GTN because someone has to buy one for it to be there)also drop on Ops,Solo Content and PvP, and oh no 0.00001 chance, then we can talk about it ~~, what you want here is to be able to bypass all requiriments by using Cartel Coins, this is a RPG you are NOT playing a lottery game, remember that ;]

  2. To be honest, i think they were split for one simple reason - they are designed as queue cleaners. They are role less, they are quick to run, which reduces the number of people in the queue drastically. it is a test, if people like it, the trend will continue. If not, perhaps they will go back to the old system and keep these as queue cleaners.

And yes, while the leaks provide some look into things to come, they should not be taken as 100% accurate

I do not expect Warlord to be part of 2.4, which is supposed to bring mainly PVP, and then new Ops (something with Dread Masters, probably on Oricon) so maybe a new FP will come with it with it. However, 2.5 is much more likely, so that PvP people can have at least one patch focused on them (which I would fully support, they deserve it).

If I do follow the leaks, the timing or Warlord in 2.5 (late october/early november) would seem to be appropriate. Warlord is about a renegade Imperial Moff who abandoned the Empire which started to be much more accepting of aliens, and it would happen half year after RotHC launched, which showed this acceptance of aliens much more.

but the role less is only for SM, that i have yet to see, this whole time i was talking about HM, and thats why i think it makes no sense to split it just for the "queue cleaners" because HM still needs the tank/heals/dps, plus the elite comms are only awarded for HMs, i dont think many people will run that in SM, you get better gear from crafting (purple 66s) cant say much about it though, yet to play that on SM fully(only played the second part on SM, it was stupid fast), also i was not expecting Warlord to be any soon after this lol, Off topic, i wish we would get some more leaks, its sucks to have nothing to expect beyond the Dread Masters.

  3. I think it is the intro, completing the Operation, and debriefing.

I do agree that it would be nice, but there is always having to weight costs against probable outcome. If you spent months of developer time and QA on making NiM flashpoint, which only 10% of people would enjoy and which would not bring any new gear level like NiM Ops, it would probably be waste of said developer time and QA, which could be used on other content.

And I would suggest to stop reading those Patch Notes leaks :D, they are very old and simply should not be used for reference or even for claiming you were "lied to" (not saying you do that)

Those patch leaks are something to expect, things change as they did, for better or worse, in this case to me(personal opnion) for very Worse, also its not that hard to simple tune up a Fp, the mechanics are there, make they do dmg lol, and as it stands i think more poeple would play a "Nightmare" level Flashpoint then NiM operations, just based on the fact that its easier to put up a 4 men group then a 8 or 16 men, also i think one of the reason to split Titans of Industry is to also say" New Flashpoints" which is in fact just one(if you compare it to others in term of content), so far there is nothing small and fast as those "Czerka" FPs, and honestly when eric posted that two Flashpoints were coming, i dont think anyone would expect this, most people expeceted two fully fledge Flashpoints, like the ones we have now(i as knew about the Leaks, i was expecting that Imperial Warlord was coming lol, you cant imagine how sad i was when i saw what they did to Titans of Industry).

  4. The problem is many people not wanting them, that is all.

As for the droid giver, this is just like Operations, the does not give the exact name of the quest. You always get something like "Betrayal at Denova", "Legions of Scum and Villainy", etc.

Also, just wondering, what stops you from running them in sequence? Just ask your GF band if they want to run both of them, and you can go straght after you jump out the first one, just reenter queue with only the second one selected...

its both the Droid and the actual quest that you need to complete, and those are operations, Betrayal at Denova is just the intro no? when you talk to saresh it changes to Explosive Conflict no?my point is, this was One Flashpoint as intended, i just ran it again with some casual people, they all agreed that its too freaking short, its like doing Taral V skipping all bosses, and who is these people that would not want it?? also its a option, if some people liked this, leave this, but make a "NiM Titans of Industry" mode where its aimed to 69s and the FP stays whole, and not split into two, everyone stays happy, people who are alredy geared will want to play this, or at least put em back together, its really too short, but well thats just my opnion, i can see that you liked it this way, i just hope that they dont do this to Imperial Warlod, but now i find it hard that they will not.

  5. I think it was said in the last livestream interview, cantina tour or something like that, that simply too many people complained how hard LI was, and so that all new flashpoints will be on approximately the same level as the old ones (scaled to level, of course). If you want something geared for 69 with augs, try Operations.

Yes, they are split in way to artificial means, but I liked that it is shorter. If I simply want to run a quick flashpoint, I can now. But, I would not be unhappy if they were merged together.

that makes me sad, and men whats the problem with having Flashpoints for 69s? operations takes more then 1h, nothing wrong with having a Hard FP tuned for 69s for 4 people to enjoy, i see a lot of people asking for NiM mode for Flashpoints, also i found the conversations(droid giver is on the GTN, the actual guy is on the Gav daragon close to SnV) that send you into the Flashpoint, they are still to be edited i think, since it gives you the quest "Titans Of Industry".

  6. It's quite transparent that these new FPs were originally made as ONE FP, I really don't know who they're fooling with this artificial extension. The transition between them doesn't even make any sense, it's obvious that Vigilant is the last boss, but the first FP ends abruptly like the final Sopranos episode or something.

Of course the transition does not make sense, people go in the facility and then they feel the need to go out to have cofee lol?, i just want a new challenging FP, leave it like that for other people, call it Cerka: TItans Of industry NiM mode or whatever but put them back together, tune it up for 69s with augs, so we have something to do for an hour.

  7. Well, they took me 20 minutes each with 3 other players on PTS (Story Mode). We were all in Arkanian gear. I found it quite nice and fluent.

And the role neutral story mode simply mean that group finder does not look for the classic party composition (tank, heal, 2 DPS), but is willing to load you in it with any group composition. There are kolto stations around each boss, which heal all players for 3k per click, I think, and the bosses do to hit that much

As for the demand to join it and make it like LI, devs specifically said that they will not do another LI, because they made it too hard. I could imagine it being joined together, but the difficulty is fine.

WHAT? Devs said that we would never see another FP like LI, where, when? omg you serious? if this is true i am freaking sad, at least put those two back together and call Titans Of Industry NiM mode, first FP of NiM dificulty, we dont need another FP just to stomp and farm gear, cmon a little challenge is not bad.

  8. You mean that the Czerka ones are short ?

Short? Short is compliment, its really freaking small they way it is,those FP were originaly Titans of Industry, play it and you can see that it was all one, just imagine if you split LI after killing the Rhino boss just before Sav-rak, thats the first part, and now make the bonus boss mandatory, then you got the second part thats how it is, people comparing it to other true FPs like Battle of ilum are just trying to prove their point, except that all of the bosses/mini-bosses were actually something in LI, if youre augmented and on a mix off 69s, you can seriously stomp through Titans of Industry both part one and part two, about the no one did LI thing, i always had very FAST pops with LI, and thats on the shadowlands, cmon you know how they can please everyone? leave those two FPs untouched, for the people that liked, but make Titans of Industry whole and turn it into Tiear 2, tuned for 69s. droping 69s on every boss and one Underworld Token on the VIgilant just like LI was, i am pretty some people were alredy expecting it to be like this, cmon guys it not a bad ideia, we need a tier 2 FP, playing LI was very exciting, and i really dont want to wait till Imperial Warlord to have a tier 2 HM FP,

  9. "They were originally" you mean from those ancient Patch Notes leaks which have proven to be wrong in many finer details (Varl becoming Makeb, etc)?

I have actually run them, and yes, they are split in two, but no more than Battle off Ilum and False Emperor (you steal an invisible ship, fly it back to base, and you use it to fly to secret space station).

But, I have yet to see if there are any "into" scenes for both, as I have joined always by Group Finder, which skips that.

However, I will grant you that they are shorter, but I think they are not that much shorter than other flashpoints (I think I soloed Battle of Ilum with Healer in 40 minutes, with group it is usually 30 minutes).

Also, from what I read, trash mobs on HM are pretty weak (have not been that yet, not much to test until access to CZ-198 is fixed), just like on SM

first off Battle of ilum is the size of both those FP, you admited that its split but keep making that weak comparison? Battle of ilum happens on Ilum, False Emperor on the Emperor Fortress, Two very different areas, on those Cerzka "FPs" its on the same place, you really see that, plus it makes zero sense for you to down rasmus and get out "oh lets take a drink while vigilant is awakening, we will get back to destroying him later" makes no sense bro, the whole place is going crazy, i also want to see the cinematics but i think there will be nothing for the second, because it makes no sense for the players to leave the facility, stop comparing the other FPs, because those are entire areas, and you only leave when you finish that place, the real boss of Titans Of industry was the Vigilant, i just hope they do not split Imperial Warlord just to claim its two new FPs, and instead they tune it up to LI levels, i also have a small have hope that they will put Titans back together and make it LI Level Flashpoint, it would be AWESOME if they tuned it up to people in 69s, droping either Arkanian Tokens or Verpine gear, and make the new Tier 2 HM FP lv 55, because some people might like 15m FPs, but i did not like what they did to Titans, and when Eric posted that Two Flashpoints were coming, i was thinkg that Titans and Imperial Warlord were coming out, instead we got Titans Splited, also those "old leaks" were pretty much right about most of the stuff missing only Makebs name so far , Titans of Industry was one FP, they splited and thats end of story , all of the proof is there, do you want to see a dev come in here saying the reason for this?(probably to make it easier and faster?), i hardly think that it was intended to be like that(splited), and you can see that by playing the second part which is so freaking fast, also my group cleared that in arkanian gear with no augments at all and some very bad relics, imagine how it will be on live, with people fully augmented with 69s lol, cmon men we could use some new challenge for 4 men content, spliting Titans Of Industry made it too short and trash will always be trash.

  10. The flashpoints are not "split in two" any more than Taral V/Maelstorm Prison or Battle of Ilum/Flase Emperor are. Playing through one of them is about 20 minutes on Story Mode, which is IMO enough for a flashpoint designed for 2+ players.

I have not been in Hard Mode yet, so I cannot comment of how hard that is, but it should be harder, as it should require the classic party setup.

thats wrong, did you really play it? those two were originally One(Titans of Industry) anyone that playes it can clearly see it lol, specially how the first part ends abruptly after the Vigilant showing up for a sec lol, and they are much shorter, i cleared the first in under 20 on HM.

  11. On topic - I'm very excited about this update. Since my early kotor times, I have great interest in Czerka corporation, so this is basically the best theme an update could have for me. And the new companion looks great too. I just hope EA won't find a way to screw my happiness up somehow until release.

yeah me too, its been over a year since the last FP, i really enjoy those, looking forward to see what czerka been up to ^^

  12. No, we alredy have plenty of those. I want more FPs like black talon. If you don't like convos, find like minded people and skip everything.

oh men youre going to hate what they did to Titans of industry bro, lets say midway the FP ends, cuting all the emotion of going to kill the final boss, then on the second part you start on a different room(on the end of the first one the door is blocked and leads you out therefore ending the "first" FP), you proceed and kill two mini-bosses(like the Rhino thing in LI) and then the final boss which is very well made(the only challenge tbh), honestly i see no reason to split Titans of Indrustry into two FPs, i would love having something like LI again, a big and challenging FP, anyways its not that bad i guess, now that i played it i can see that some people will like it, runing that for Gear will be great, because they are REALLY short, i was just hoping they would be at least targeted for people at 69s, meaning that they would at least drop Arkanian or Underworld gear(for set bonus) but its cool, we got titans of indrustry at least, i just want to watch the story now, since you cant see the story behind the FP yet(the level of Cinematics within the FP is the same as LI) because the new daily area is buged and you cant acess it, lets all hope they tune up the FPs \o/

  13. PLEASE Bioware keep the Flashpoints as it is, ONLY 1 CONVERSATION.

you know what? they should include a option to remove all conversation for people like you, that way everyone would be happy, i for once love the conversations and all, i like seeing if theres diferent responses/reactions(like throwing stuff on malgus xD).

  14. The only thing we knew about Titans of Industry was a vague leak from over a year and a half ago.

Whether they planned it that way from the start or not, who cares? It makes no difference.

lol? dude, why split the FP in two? just to say they are releasing two new Flashpoints? wth? if you play it, you will see, its like doing False Emperor:HK the Droid and then False emperor:The Usurper Malgus, where the first you go till HK, then it they place a barrier on the door, you get out, then on the next continue on the other side of the door till malgus, made no sense to me, but whatever, we all knew this was one Flashpoint, to me it kind made it too short, also there is no bonus boss, i guess i was just hoping for another thing on LI level, and expecting Arkanian or underworld tokens to drop in there.

  15. Really? Its not like they have used 2 part flashpoints before, is it?

Boarding Party: Part 1, Foundry: Part 2

Taral V: Part 1, Maelstrom Prison: Part 2

Kaon: Part 1, Lost Island: part 2

Battle of Ilum: Part 1, False Emperor: Part 2

no they really splited the entire Flashpoint into two, its like if they split False Emperor in two, i just did them, you can clearly see it lol, play it, and you will know what i mean lol

  16. Well, 2 new FPs on HM are an absolute joke, cleared both with randoms in about 40 mins, I hope it gets revamped or something, damage output on bosses is probably bugged. And that's it for 2.3 PTS, basically, new daily area is not available, new companion is sweet, the convo with him lasts a minute or so, and the new event isn't on PTS.

Nothing special so far; in fact, it's underwhelming.

So, what about that new graphics feature? I noticed some colours are a bit more vibrant ... is that it?

so what i was reading on the test Forum was true? they splited Titans of industry into two? thats lol, just lol.

  17. There is no reason they have to be released in cartel packs again, assuming they don't want them to be. We sure don't.

I am starting to feel like a battered wife, coming back after he promises he wont hit me any more. You know, until next time that is.

Honestly, eric is very nice guy, i feel that the other Devs would never share their intentions like that, and i do know that they have orders and all, its pretty obvious that the people calling the shots dont care about us and what we think, having just admited that and still going with it?. you know what i am starting to hear i lot from my budds withing the game? is that they think that beyond what was leaked more then a year ago(content from patch leaks from 1.2 to 1.5 on torhead) there is nothing else being developed and that is the reason for the slow pace of actual content, and right now i am starting to believe.

  18. Well some people want to point out that:

My question is the same, why is the "most marginal part of the story" more important than the parts of the story that set up the reasons for our quests and adventures in the first place? What makes the CM so much different than a bookstore or comic shop? Because it's IN the game? A retailer is a retailer. Access to most is just a click of a browser away. It's a pretty weak argument.

I'll bet it's the later. The little bit of fun they had in doing them is FAR overshadowed by this over-reactionary response. We are effectively the mean old neighbor lady who keeps any toy that happens to land in her yard. Eventually, the kids just stop playing so they don't lose any more of their toys.

They are stories of the characters we interact with. Darth Malgus, Satele Shan, T7-O1, Darth Angral, Revan, the Sith Emperor, Lord Scourge, Darth Marr, Jace Malcom, Darth Baras, Bounty hunter Braden, Jedi Master Orgus Din, Darth Thanaton, Jedi Master Syo Bakarn, Jedi Master Bela Kiwiiks, Jedi Master Jaric Kaedan, and many of our support characters. These datacubes offer no interaction, they are just some guy who is narrating background information. The books and comics also narrate background information about the people and events that we have to react to in our storylines. So how does it not makes sense? You should probably read up on those on Wookieepedia. That is why I provided the links for you to look at and see how they affect our story.

Then I have to ask what are your qualifications that lead you to this conclusion?

i dont know to say anymore, why do you keep insisting that we have to pay for extra lore that is inside the game? the Shroud is a new enemy, there is a personal datalog INSIDE the game, not outside(comics),its IN THE GAME, why SHOULD we have to pay to watch it? do you have to pay to talk to your companions? i get if there is a comic book, but this was made by the Developers team of this game, which we pay to play, so WHY would we have to pay to watch stories? following your logic its just go in the game and press buttons and NO lore, following your logic its screw all side quest stories, if its in the game we should not have to buy them in freaking cartel packs, whats your point?

  19. One thing I did want to clarify. The Encrypted Datcubes that were in the last pack were a part of a series. The rest of that series will be in the next pack that is released, so you will see one more round of the Datacubes. However, we do not plan to make them and place them in other packs in the future. You just have one more pack of what we had already created. I just didn't want you guys to be concerned when you saw a few more of them in the next pack.

    Thanks!

    -eric

what? i was under the impression that you guys would simple get them into the game by other means, i guess that in the end, i feel that they dont really care about us, if they did, this would be reversed and those cubes would find their way into the game and not cartel packs.

  20. That is purely speculative. There was more than enough time between RotHC and now for them to create that.

And as far as 'on the same level as Companion quests?' Ya, the bottom most level. I love talking to my companions, but when the quest to talk to them is nothing more than like 5 lines of dialogue from them and I have no response, it's a bit underwhelming. Actually, some might argue that the datacube scenes are less than the bottom level of a comp quest because it's not personal.

and that does not worry you that they would make story just for packs? and honestly i dont think that was made after the "expansion", seriously just no, i think they are yes on the same level as some companion quests, and sure as hell i do not want to see that kind of companion quest on the CM, because to me its heavy lore and its content, if you put all the cubes, it is Relevant story(lets call that the Shrouds personal datalog), and when i compare they to the companions quests, i mean that its someone giving you insigh on some story or their personal view on something, i just hope it NEVER happens again.

  21. Well, there you go. The Devs had a little bit of fun and we got pissed off about it. Rain on their parade. Well I'm glad to have this and that there will be no more content, backstory or otherwise that woun't be a part of an expansion.

    YAY us.

Like I've asked before (which no one can seem to reasonably answer), what about the books and comic series? That is game pertinent story, where does that fit into the scheme of things?

what? that makes no sense, why are you bringing comics into this? the Shourd is related to our characters, and its part of makeb story, as far as i know the story here centers of 8 classes, so why we would not get story thats related to them? your argument makes no sense, the Comic talk about other stories no? with other protagonist no? or do they have the Jedi Knight,Consular,Smuggler,Trooper, Sith Warrior,Inquisitor,Bounty Hunter and Agent in it?

  22. As far as I am concerned, my sub pays for me to play the game, with all the perks I get compared to F2P (which are numerous).

The amount I pay for my sub has not changed since the game started. So I started off paying X amount for Y amount of content.

But we are constantly getting new content. So now I am paying X amount for Y+++ content. Why wouldn't I expect to pay more?

Are you really saying BW should be spending all their time and energy making new content for the same amount of money? When does that happen in life?

You are paying the same amount of money as when the game first came out, but there is way more in there (and not just in the expansion, which we did pay for).

It may be a new concept, but businesses exist to make money and they don't do that by giving stuff away for free. These cubes were just a random fun little addition, like jawagrams. Or do you think you should get all those for free too?

If you didn't want to pay extra money for the datacubes, DON'T BUY THE DATACUBES. What was the problem with that scenario? Your game wouldn't have suffered without the datacubes. But because you and other people are spoiled and entitled, we all miss out. Thanks very much.

Plus, if you didn't want to pay real money, BW made them common enough that they go for about 20k on the GTN. If you are any kind of real player, 20k is nothing. Just buy them that way.

yeah, keep going, when they start putting Companion and other story heavy quests on Packs, you will see what we are talking about, and please enough with the "cubes are not important etc etc etc", if you dont like story or does not care, thats you, a lot of people got sucked into the game with the promise of "Story" and the CM came promising only "comestic", we all know how that ended right? lv 10 Color crytals, Space ship parts grade 7 and now its story content? i dont care if youre unable to see that those 9 Cubes are obviously a small quest chain that was removed from the game to be placed on the CM, but stop claiming that the Shroud personal datalog is nothing, because its on the same level as Companion quests.

oh and btw your logic is flawed, why pay subs to keep playing old content? i dont play MMOs a lot, but aint that their promise? keep subed and they keep delivering content? your whole argument makes no sense, were subbed just to not have F2P restrictions lol?

  23. I had no problem with this, I'm sorry that the people complaining have won. As you pointed out, the cubes had no impact on game play.

Does this mean we won't get the other four cubes in the next pack to be released? I think there had been hints that there would be a reward for getting all 8 too... Is that all gone? :(

First, the market was cosmetic, now its not "gameplay impacting"? oh please, i play for the story so it impacts my gameplay, what now?

  24. My first instinct is to say "Good, they've heard us and made the right call" and move on. Picking at a topic after they've made a good decision seems like being a hater instead of giving constructive criticism to improve things. BUT I was really bothered by something in this response:

Distinguishing between "story content" and "gameplay impacting" content makes sense in some games, but SW:TOR's whole schtick was "Story as the 4th Pillar" of an MMO. That BW was deliberately trying to include story content in the CM makes me worry that they've given up on that whole concept as a failure.

This "Story Pillar", even more than the Star Wars IP, is what got me interested in the game and what has kept me a subscriber since pre-ordering. I know the game's budget has probably been slashed to heck, and I have no problem with them finding inventive ways to make money from the CM (as long as it doesn't gate off non-cosmetic content from subs), but I really, really hope they do NOT abandon the importance they put on Story.

I sincerely hope distinguishing between Story and Gameplay is just a case of "spin" being put on it to justify the attempt, and not a shift in their vision of the game.

you know what saddens me men? now we all know they can just remove "pieces" of Story and place it on the CM at will, if it was not by some people voicing concerns, be sure that they would make the Packs a new avenue of story content( as eric just admited), and the excuse would be "not impacting gameplay", that really shows where the heart of the team is, CM all the way eh? what happened to "exclusive CM team only for comestic" now its "as long as it does not impact gameplay" hahah.
