  1. I'm a returning player (roughly since 2012) and am finally diving deep in the Knights of the Fallen Empire expansion. After playing vanilla story content for my Juggernaut beforehand, I am simply blown away by the advancements made to this game, despite the old engine. It really does feel like a singleplayer RPG, only tab-target combat. But one thing has really been sticking in my mind for a while, even before this expansion which really explores the middle area of the force that is both Light and Dark--why are we punished for being a Neutral character? Why are there no "gray" or neutral or whatever vendors that rewards players for being neither too far Sith nor too far Jedi? We get points towards both Light and Dark while we play, so couldn't there be a way to become Neutral I, II, III, etc. and have a vendor that sells us gear, mounts, pets, etc? I realize being full Dark or Light isn't exactly game-defining, but for putting so much emphasis on exploring the Force as a neutral entity it seems odd.
  2. Hey guys, just trying to get some answers. I know the Asia Pacific regions are getting free character transfers for players who have stuck with the game since launch or bought the game the few months afterwards. But is there any chance the North America/Europe areas will be getting these free/paid transfers soon? I have a number of friends transferring to the Jedi Council(?) PvE server from the Saber of Exar Kun PvP server. The reason is because Exar Kun is a freaking ghost town, with the Republic have 22 people on the fleet at any time and Empire being overrun with young teens wanting to be the "evil guys." The other PvE server, however, had 80+ people on Taris alone. However, while they were content to make new characters on that server, since most of them haven't done Republic yet, I'm not willing to run through The Esseles and Coruscant for the fifth time (I had to restart for one reason of the other), let alone leave my level 50 Powertech and my entire Legacy behind. So please, for the sake of my willingness to play the game further and get more maxed-out characters, is there any chance of character and/or Legacy transfers soon? I'll be willing to pay just to finally have fun with friends--even random people--again. Thanks for the read, guys.
  3. Thank you both, Kilgo and Gabe Grinstead, for the information. I'll be sure to ditch Alacrity for ammo conservation, and instead focus on Aim, Crit, and obviously Endurance. I'll also be sure to keep in mind the tips you gave me, Gabe, while I start PvE and PvPing more. Thank you both so much!
  4. Ah, so you're saying stick with Aim and Crit? Do you also use two builds, or are you an off-healer?
  5. Thanks to all who may have viewed this, but I got a reply on my last post, which I thought was dead. If you have any ideas or thoughts, refer to the post "Thoughts on Alacrity Commando?" Thanks to everyone who participates!
  6. No replies? Ah well, I may repost this with a different title.
  7. Hey guys, I've been really craving the Republic side, and what better class than the gun-toting Commando? However, I've never been a healer in all my MMO career, because I feel they weren't rewarded enough in PvP and thanked enough in Flashpoints, but after discovering their medal bonuses in Warzone and their dire need on my server, I decided to spec my level 12 commando down the healer path. However, I also wanna do DPS--as in, have two builds. I was thinking in order to save money and time on different sets of gear, I thought I'd come here and ask you guys about an idea I had. What I used Alacrity for both Healer AND DPS? It seems the Commando has a lot of channel moves, so I think I could find some benefit out of it. That, and Aim is something both specs will need, am I right? Thanks in advance for your thoughts. May the Ammo be with you.
  8. Okay, so a couple weeks ago, I hit 50 on my Powertech. I had the "level 50 blues" and started playing other, but over the last week or so, I've been PvPing with my awesome tank like none other, and I've been having a blast. (after figuring out using Guard gives me commendations--I have a role!) After many days of scouring the gear, I finally figured out which gear does what, and what stats I'm looking for. However, because of that and some complications as I was leveling, I didn't do many FPs--nothing past The Foundry, to be exact. So my question is: what stats should I be looking for when I start doing Hard Modes to gear for raids? I know the stats for PvE and PvP are slightly different (not including Expertise--that's a given), but I don't know exactly what I'm looking for. Any help is greatly appreciated! Cheers, Faasnu
  9. Okay, so I normally don't rant or complain about things on the forum, but... WHY IS MY HELMET A F**KING BUG?! I thought the Bounty Hunter helmets looked sweet, with that slick, glass frontal visor and the two flanking teeth on either side. Just awesome. Then I finally got enough commendations for my first PvP helmet. Now I'm a bug. And, as far as I'm concerned, it doesn't get better for the wearer of the Supercommando set. Anyone else a little... underwhelmed by our helmets? I know I can turn it off, and I do, but the effect just isn't the same. I look disproportioned. Now, BioWare, what was your artist thinking, exactly? Because this blows. Thoughts? Thanks in advanced if you read!
  10. Hey guys, just wanted to ask: can I cancel my subscription, and leave off where my days started later? I won't be playing for a bit, but I still have 147 days left thanks to time cards. I won't cancel my subscription if that means I'll be throwing money down the toilet, but does anyone know if it's possible to cancel the subscription and restart it when I have more time to play? Thanks again for any and all help.
  11. Hey guys, I'm a level 24 Powertech, and I've been really enjoying it. I had an Assassin, but something about this class just... clicks. Anyway, I rolled a Powertech (obviously), and after I got Fire Sweep, I think I have waaay too many combat skills. For DPS/Aggro's sake, what skills should I use, what skills should I use only sometimes, and what skills should I ditch entirely? Thanks for any and all help!
  12. I'd say keep it, for now. Usually, when I'm fighting NPCs, I use Thrash when I can no longer use Maul from behind. That, and I toss on a Lightning Discharge, but that's just me Until you compare every close, frontal combat with it, I'd say keep it until something better comes along. That, and a proc'd Shock is always good.
