  1. Actually the final wing of ICC, including the Lich King on just normal was not opened until March 2, 2010. The encounter was defeated on Heroic on March 28, 2010. Keep in mind you hve to wait for the next reset to try heroic mode after clearing it on normal and that leaves only around 2 weeks before he was available on heroic, to being defeated.

To tie it into SWTOR, or any MMO for that matter, it does not matter how much content, how hard the content is or anything. Some people will always clear it quickly no matter what. I see no difference with SWTOR.

    Actually you're wrong.

    http://www.wowprogress.com/guild/eu/lightning-s-blade/Paragon/rating.tier10_25

LK kill Feb 4, HLK kill Mar 26.

  2. Best way to do it, is start the engagement, kill all the trash, then do both turns together and make sure the lock in at the same time. It is very easy.... This engagement isn't bugged and should always be free loot.

Tried that. Coordinated on mumble with nonclicker calling it out.

Delay between completing was definitely <1 sec, probably <.5 sec, still bugged.

You are all false, how it works and this is the mechanics on the fight is that one pylon has to finish the symbols before the other starts it - then nothing stucks. Its very very very easy on HM....

This may or may not be a way to guarantee completion however it is not necessary.

We had both sides clicking before either locked in a row and completed the encounter.

  3. north bugs out if :

    A) you hit the north console at anytime before south one finished.

Meaning if S has to go L3 and N has to go L3, S has to do all 3 clicks before N does even 1?

    B) you dont do it fast enough, and south kills the 2 gold mob spawns before north finishes, althought you should be able to do it fast enough they never even come out.

SSSS works every time if you do it correctly and fast enough.

We didn't get gold spawns iirc.

  4. you just have to solve south first everytime.

the bug is where sometimes when you solve north first, or them both close together, it will then say waiting for south to finish solving right after.

solve south first everytime, dont even touch the north console til south is solved and it works.

    its dumb but it works.

No. We did SSSS and it did not work. North bugged on last row. We then did SSSN and it worked.

Figure out which console bugs out for each row and solve that side first for that row. May or may not be repeatable but it (theoretically) gets to the root of the issue which is consoles not working if a specific side is solved first (double server message spam).

  5. Hey so lets give away this huge secret to Bioware's stupid puzzle. ON HARD AND NIGHTMARE MODE YOU MUST SOLVE THE PUZZLE IN 8 TURNS

Here is the *********** solution to it. Find where you start then count the optimal path

    Right Panel

Purple -> White -> Yellow -> Blue -> Green -> Red -> Purple and so on

    Left Panel

Purple -> Red -> Green -> Blue -> Yellow -> White -> Purple and so on

    Problems

    1) You cannot solve the puzzle in 8 turns every time (We have had solutions as low as 7 and as high as 13)

    2) The puzzle does not reset properly without a zone reset

You make an encounter with 0 room for error and then make it so the zone has to be reset each time and then does not work properly each time. Rule one of making a puzzle that has to be solve din X turns, make sure all possible solutions occur within X or make your win condition the maximum value.

Not true our kill this past week was

10 on the south, 8 on the north or vice versa (not sure which order I wrote).

I'm sorry this is just wrong.

north south south north. Solve in that order, whenever you want, collect your loot.

Also not true iirc from one of the other threads someone tried that and it still bugged out. We solved ours going SSSN.

My best guess is identify which console bugs out for each level and solve that one first. We were trying SSSS and noted that on the 4th level north bugged out so we did SSSN and it worked fine. Of course we could have just gotten lucky.

  6. for hard/nightmare mode, the order is as follows:

    left right right left

If you mean which consoles to press then no, that returns it to the starting position.

If you mean which pylon to complete first then that is still not a guaranteed fix. We did SSSN, others completed it with SSSS, NNNN, SNNS, NSSN.

At OP, doing all left is not required, we did rights on our kill.

  7. We did it so that we first clicked only south. Finished tier 1, then the north one clicked afterwards until the next tier. Then south again.

Confirmed to work: Don't click north at all, finish south's tier's first. After the south tier is finished, do the north pylon. Then again south, and so on.

We were having a lot of trouble figuring this out, so thanks a lot for the responses that confirmed this before us!

Except this does not work 100% of the time. We tried finishing south first for all rows and it bugged on the last row. We then tried doing SSSN and that worked.

  8. Exact same time =! Waiting until the text appears.

Just synch it on voice, it just worked instantly for us.

I know. I'm saying that we did it at the exact same time (mumble so almost latency, 3rd person counting down) and it bugged.

We then did it so that the south finished the 1st-3rd rows first, and the north finished the 4th row first. The other side waited for the text to appear before starting their turn and this worked for us.

  9. Done them right now, after getting through all those forum threads you all know.

I just wanted to share this with you: ;)

    http://swtorhumanrelations.com/2011/12/31/pylon-puzzle-boss-guide/

I'm sorry but almost everything about that is wrong.

Our other side waited until the text appeared saying the first side had completed before clicking the console and we passed. Also the elites appear based on time not based on tumbler as we got elites sometime during the 3rd or 4th tumbler.

  10. So does the solution have something to do with the red text that pops up saying "You have a bad feeling about this?" We smashed our head against the nightmare version all night to no avail and had it bug on the last spin of the 4th wheel after one side was already solved. At a total loss atm and it is no longer fun. Why would you not post the solution because some random person told you not to. If you don't want the solution to be posted PM it to me and I will never say a word or by god when I figure this out tomorrow im posting it

LIKE THIS ON THE FRONT PAGE

Figure out which side bugs and at what level and have that side complete that level first (not significantly quicker, a second or two is fine). For us this ended up being south south south north. From what I read in other threads it could be south x4. Probably others are possible too.

Could also be that we just got lucky. Who knows.

  11. Assuming this is not bugged, then southx4 is also a viable solution to the puzzle, though to be fair it's so convoluted as to not really be called a puzzle at all.

I am actually going to be hoping for a bug on this one, because the alternative is such bad game design that having it be bugged is actually better

We tried south x4 and north console locked on the 4th row. We were solving in fewest number of turns as well.

We then tried south x3 and north for the last row and it worked.

This was 8 man HM for what it's worth.

  12. Seems to be that way.

If south is say left 3, right needs to finish at the same time, even if they are say left 2.

North would need to wait a spin rotation, and both sides need to lock in their set at about the same time. If done correctly, neither side will lockup and neither side will have the console be un-clickable.

We did that. We also solved the puzzle in the fewest number of clicks possible given our initial arrangement. Did not work.

  13. Lol at the trolls. Have cleared this fight in several versions of both 8 man and 16 mans.

Take a look at the home page of my guild if you would like to see our progress: areyoucondemned.com.

    This boss is NOT bugged.

In hard modes you get a LIMITED amount of clicks. It is a PUZZLE. Figure out the way you want to click BEFORE you pull. Either side should not continue clicking until BOTH pylons are locked.

Again, this boss would be face roll if you just went up and clicked with no rhyme or reason.

But heh, its easier to chalk up to bugs than actually figure the encounter out.

We had two raids clear this boss on 16 man last night and we had ZERO issues with the pylons bugging. Guess we must be lucky.

Too add icing to the cake: devs have confirmed with us that it is indeed not bugged.

We did that. Minimum number of turns for each side, synchronized final turn for both pylons to complete at the same time. Still bugged.

  14. Sorry that you're having difficulty with the encounter, bug or no! I'm simply trying to be helpful, to indicate that using our current strategy, we have yet to encounter an issue with the pylons locking themselves that occurred previously. Given that, we believe it to be an additional mechanic rather than a bug.

    Best of luck either way!

And is your current strategy one of the one's discussed in this thread? A combination of them? Something completely different?

Honestly this vague mystery bull**** is really dumb for a boss that has no difficulty outside of a gimmick and/or bug.
