  1. Agreed. 100% Great post, unfortanely... if the developers need about 3 months to repair a bug of loot on raid bosses, imagine how long it would take to implement all your suggestions. But seeing they, would actually epic.
  2. My vote is NO! Then why whe stand here yet? Because whe have hope... Sadly mine is going down... Sems to me i playing a beta game... Seriously... This game have a HUGE time to be developed, to show this level of bugs. I cannot say if the game is die or not, i can only supose. But i can say, my guild mates slowly leaving the game, from 19 in begin of the game whe have only 6 now... This is a fact. And the worst part? I didn't see any real improvement, is like the developers have abandoned us an let only the trainees. I fill like i'm betrayed, i leave a game with mostly part of my guildmates to encounter this... Rest to me only wait and pray, for now...
  3. Hello fellow conrades. My name is Emerson, a player of MMO's, recently arrived in this wonderfull world of SwTor. I have a long story with games like Ragnarok, Ultima, Rift and WoW (5 years). After some time playing, analyzing and thinking about the game, i come to some conclusions, and like to share it with this comunity. First of all, i like to thanks to Bioware, for all the great games he has presented us, game players. Games, like Baldurs Gate, Neverwinter, KoTor, Dragon Age and in special, Mass effect. Games like these are never forgoten, games like these, make friends around all the world, and change the life of people. To make these games, a company have something very, very special. Bioware. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. About SwTor: When a hear about this game, my first impression are, "A game... About Star Wars, MMO, envolving Lucas Arts and Bioware, this will be good, this NEED to be good". And after playing some time unfortunately, my enthusiasm has gona down... Do not judge me wrong, i like the game. The story of the characters is exceptional (has always), i simply have a huge dificulty to stop to play, because i need to know what happen next with my char. But when i need to go around with the quests.... the problems beggin. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quests: The quests always have the same path, kill x, destroy y, or something very near. Seems to me like a Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V, edit the names and reuse, don't have time to think in something better. And don't have a optimization, for example? I make a quest to my master. To deliver? I need to go to my ship, fly to the planet where my master was, deliver the quest, take another e come back to continue. Jesus... I have a Holocron, why in the sacred name of God i need to fly to antoher planet when is much more easy to push my holocron and make a call... Solution? I can't see a easy solution for this. The entire system of quest will need to be reviewd, and for sure now it's not time to do this. A possible solution is erase some quests, and add something diferent, quest's in space maybe? And logic, use the logic. It's much more simple make a holocron call then fly thousands and thousands of kilometers just to talk with someone. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Loads: A lot of loads. To fly to almost any planet, i need to go to my map, input coordenats, exit from my ship, go to elevator, take a shuttle and finally arrive in my destination. Give me a reason for this. Roleplay, fuel economy? Time to client cache the planet? I don't buy it. I have a ship with planet landing capacity, and I PAY the fuel. If the cliente need some more time to cache the data, wich is, but charge only one time. Solution? Just put me on planet, don't need animations, the most players even cancel the animation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Walking: Ok, i understand, you are a begginer, must earn its place, and this is perfectly acceptable, WHEN you are being introduced into the world, when, in any of the stories of Star Wars a padawan began his journey on foot? Solution? Leave the initial planet with a mount 60%, learn a mount 100% near lv 30, and finaly get a mount 130% in lv 40 or 50. And start thinking from now on flying mounts, players will ask for it sooner or later. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mods/Addons: Getting to level 50, should not be the end of the journey, the longevity of the game depends on what you have to do from there. And the answer is? Raids (or pvp content for those who like, i personaly are a PVE player). But who does raids? Hardcore players or professionals. And how to manage a raid without a reference point to define who is a willing player who knows what they're doing and who is not. Solution? Hard. I'm not a programer (not a good one at least =P), seems to me the engine don't have suport to open languages like LUA, and probly any addons will need to designed with dll's, the simplest solution seems to support developers and revise their work, teach the way and give freedom of action, always, however, reviewing and approving the work off any addon. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Final thoughts: Bioware you make a great game, with a great potential, i love it. If i was not worried about the future of the game i don't waste my time here writing this message, i know, develop a game don't is easy, specialy one with this load, bear the stamp of Bioware and Lucas Arts, i don't worried about the bugs, this is will fix itself with time, just show to us some work, make the necessarys patchs, and let the comunity to help. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- To comunity: For anyone who comes up with funny messages like "Go back to WoW", remember, all that we see, this game we're playing, need money to run, serious money, given by serious players, and Bioware will bring most of these players of other MMO's, if it does not fit, you will end in a map with two people playing alone, until bioware to verify that the project did not work and close the servers ... Think again. And go to help (you and me and everyone (loooooooool remember me now from Minsc of Baldurs Gate hUAHuAhuAhAUhAU)) to make a better game. Thank for reading and good game to all.
