  1. Obviously you haven't played a healer in SWTOR, as clicking the UI is half the battle of someone not dying.
  2. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#800rfRMR0cdkqZrcoZb.1 I've attached a link for you all to peruse and evaluate; however, I can't think of anywhere else that these point should go. If anything, I'd take the two points out of Kolto Bomb and move them into Treated Wound Dressings (4% reduced damage). If I am completely wrong on any counts, don't hesitate to let me know. Healing Role?: From where I sit, it looks like primarly, Commando healing will be similar to a prime single-target healing class. We get a weak AOE heal that increases the effectiveness of other heals, but we largely get our HPS through Advanced Medical Probe and Medical Probe (and the various talent-based benefits of both). Once we get Bacta Infusion, as it is free and heals the target for a respectable amount, it will likely be used on CD to pump HPS through a target and get them out of a deficit (21 second cooldown). Healing Rotation?: For most encounters, I just use Advanced Medical Probe on cooldown, followed by Medical Probe with Trauma Probe on tanks, and use my hammer shot in between (heals about 1.5% per second). I will use Kolto Bomb when there is AOE damage, I have max ammo, or if overcharge is up. When I'm overcharged, I AMP->MP->AMP->MP until Overcharge is off. Let me know what you think, and definitely let me know if your talent build looks different.
  3. This is the reason why some people have trouble in MR and some people don't. Many people don't know they have bad DPS.
  4. This game is clunkier than WOW, but I think every game is more clunky than WOW. If WOW is a 10, this game is about a 6.5 or 7.0. The thing that makes it worse is my framerate tanking even at low resolutions!
  5. Ironically, on Bondar Crystal, the only queue I've sat in was 15 minutes.
  6. The problem for this fight is DPS. There is a ton of damage being put out by all members of the boarding party, and if your DPS can't kill the inquisitor and warrior first, then you're going to spend all day wiping on it. There is only so much sustain that healers can do on this fight, especially when the warrior makes your life tough. That being said, I've run this instance 7 times (whee full trooper set, including that awesome looking repeater), twice with PUGs and five times with the guild. The biggest difference I see is DPS, if your DPS doesn't blow, then this fight is easymode. Kill inquisitor, warrior, then get BH/IA low and kill them at the same time. This is a no fail strategy if your DPS is high enough. My guild group comp was a 23 sentinel, 27 JK, a 27 CM trooper, and a 24 DPS sage. In addition, this fight was a PITA on my trooper. I don't know why, but keeping people positive was not the easiest chore in the world with the random interrupts every few seconds (I was extremely unlucky some fights). Make sure your group knows *** they're doing and if you continually wipe due to resource tapping as a healer, either look for more efficient healing or figure out how to improve your DPS!
  7. Either/or. Doesn't matter, I've never seen one of these early release thinggies go off well. There's always someone who feels snubbed. That's not my issue though, if I get in the 16th, 19th, or 20th, I don't mind--so long as I have a date.
  8. I am curious to know why there was no early access schedule released (even with the extra days of early access), in a work-in-progress form to keep the community up-to-date and aware of when we might be able to log into the SWTOR servers. From a simple mathematical standpoint, it seems like you could estimate the overall number of pre-orders based on historical data and release a rough timetable for early access release. I would conjecture that you all have gathered data on how well your servers will hold up during this very large and momentous release both internally and during the stress test. I'm aware you decided to give two extra days early access to the game, which was not expected, and I am glad for those who get to participate. But for some of us, we'd rather have an idea of when we'd get to play as opposed to HAVING TO GET IN RIGHT THIS SECOND. Primarily, I'm concerned about making time in my schedule to accommodate the monster amount of gaming that the first weekend of SWTOR will undoubtedly take. Yes, there is a great deal of rampant complaining on the forums, and no, I am not in the early access as of right now. I ordered in August; however, I entered my pre-order code in the middle of September (due to my error). That being said, giving the community some sort of idea and giving us an understanding of a method behind your madness would be much appreciated at this point. tl;dr: Telling us the check is in the mail isn't as good as giving us a date when it'll be there.
