Upon analysis, I've realized that the server I've picked for location reasons may not be the server community I would like. So... From an objective stand point, how would you categorize your server or servers' community? Please elaborate, as I'm really trying to find the right one.
I would like to think that I am a mature adult player, and am looking for similar people to play with. I'm the kind of person who might pick up a very nice piece of low level equipment and travel to a low level area and hand it to someone who looks like they might need it, rather than sell it on the AH, or GM, in this case. I am the kind of person who will wait patiently if someone else reaches an objective before me. I am not the type of person to snipe a chest out from underneath a person whilst they are embroiled in combat.
I do swear a bit in my typing sometimes, especially if I feel comfortable with someone, though I get rather offended when someone uses words that have a negative connotation based on race or orientation. I also strive to use the utmost grammatical care, despite my legitimate excuse of dyslexia.
The server I have chosen appears to be remarkably... Dog-eat-dog? I will not call out any names, but I have met a plethora of chest and crafting material snipers, objective stealers (so I have to stand there for a whole minute and wait for the darned thing to reload), and otherwise unpleasant people. Unfortunately, these tactics are slowly turning me into an unpleasant person to game alongside.
I've also had my fill of anime names for... the next thousand years? I mean, I understand, I love anime myself, but I'm not naming my original character "Sasuke Uchiha".
So, while understanding that differing people and play styles are simply a part of the interwebs, do you all have any suggestions?
