Regardless of game mechanics being quite different from actual lore, the different Jedi classes do apply to all Jedi in Star Wars. Yoda was a Consular, his wisdom, mastery of the Force and green lightsaber color (even though this is not a rule) all point to that fact.
Someone pointed out he was a master of the Form IV: Ataru. Yes, in fact he was a master of all seven forms of lightsaber combat, except Vaapad, the modified version of Form VII: Juyo. Only Mace Windu and Sora Bulq reached mastery of Vaapad. Yoda earned the title of Swordmaster in the Jedi Order.
This game makes all Consulars and Inquisitors look bad in that it seems none of them know how to use their sabers. They don't even use any of the combat forms. When in truth, every single Jedi are at least proficient with Shii-Cho and more often than not many different forms.
Kit Fisto, a MASTER of Shii-Cho, was also a Consular. Do you see him using a lot of Force powers, standing away from a fight to throw stones or to heal others? No. He was a master of combat and actually one of the best swordsmen in the Jedi Order. His skill with Force powers manifested through his excellent use of Force Speed and his unique ability to manipulate water through the Force. As a Nautolan, water was a close element to him.
Bah, I always ramble in these posts... anyway, don't think that only Guardians know how to fight. It may be what they do best, but all Jedi surpass any normal being in swordfight, whether Guardian, Consular or Sentinel. It's just sad the skills in this game do nothing to reflect this.
