  1. Except that it's not listed under Class, it's listed under its own category, Makeb. And, even if it is, it's not really essential; you could easily skip it and still not lose out on any plot material, so there's no need to keep it categorized as class.
  2. So, now that we have stuff post-Makeb -- Yavin, etc. -- it would be nice to be able to get rid of the Makeb quests that are still sitting in my inventory. I'm never going to do them. I will never be bored enough, and the story is lacking as compared to Forged Alliances and SoR. The rewards are no longer useful. I can abandon the planetary quests for everything else, but not Makeb. Help me clear my log, Obio-ware Kenobi. Not to mention that with the amount of post-Act 3 content, 25 mission log spaces is not enough. With so many dailies (and some of Yavin's lucrative bonus quests), weeklies, pvp content, and ops available, it adds up, and I do like grabbing everything at the beginning of the week and not having to worry about forgetting something because I didn't have space in my log at the time. So, yes, help us streamline our mission logs! Thanks.
  3. I juuuust finished my two week trial period and honestly it was one of the nicest trial periods of anything I've ever had I did decline the invitation, but it's because I get home at 9 pm every night and while I tried very hard to balance both RL and game, it was not working out, haha. But yeah, everyone's really friendly, and I had fun talking about myself to be honest, but I also met a lot of different people, and I never once felt out of place, which is kind of uncommon. Not every guild has so many diverse people. (and everyone PVPs a lot, and it sounded like they were having fun, though I don't pvp much myself) The only thing I might say is it can be hard to get ahold of events or people, but that's largely because my schedule is a mess and I can't possibly expect them to conform to my strange time arrangements. But yeah, I do recommend it for people who want to have a lot of people to hang out with and may be playing more than one game at a time -- they do have other divisions for just about every online game ever. And that's freaking cool, you never need to feel out of place in a new game while you wait to make friends or find a guild you like... they're already there!
  4. Yeah I realized like two seconds later that I had not been at the right forum when I hit new thread. I'm making such a good first impression, here.
  5. Hi all, Since you can't swing a dead nexu without hitting a bunch of dps in queue, I'd like to find a small to medium sized guild that consistently runs SM and maybe even HM ops. I have a powertech tank and a sniper dps. The latter is in 168s and I'm fluent in his rotation and have done most ops so far at least once (well... maybe not EC lol). The former's in 156s and I'm decent, I just haven't had consistent practice with a single group. Also have an unused assassin that I can dps with and would gladly learn to tank with from someone who knows what they're doing. Currently leveling a sorc healer and an operative healer, and have a sage healer pubside so I know how the sorc will function. I am friendly, if a little sarcastic, and will run pretty much anything a million times for decoration drops (can't fight pubs if u don't got a sweet flat amirite?). I will even do PVP. I'm consistently available Friday nights and weekends, and sporadically available on other weeknights. Help me, Guild-Recruitment Kenobi. You're my only hope!
  6. I hate to ruin the 69 replies of this thread by making it 70, but I'd love Togruta. They're sufficiently interesting and visually distinctive on their own as a species, but are not so abnormal (like Voss, for instance) that they'd need an in-depth explanation as to why they're PCs. The Cathar designs are interesting, so I'd like to see what can be done with Togruta designs.
  7. Miraluka or Chiss with the elegant braid would be lovely. I'm totally behind this idea. I don't see it interfering with some of the horn styles on zabrak, either, though the hairline may need to be adjusted for them.
  8. This would be excellent. Especially for crafters. I know some of us have their crafting toons, and then their gathering toons. Being able to dump things in a common storage so I can store my mats in an easy-to-access place spares me the fear of losing it if I typo a name or something, and it'll be easier to keep track of which mats are where. Same with items and gear.
  9. This is old, but I'm dragging it up because I was just thinking about this the other day when we were hitting Operator IX; having someone ping their map (League of Legends used alt+click, I believe) would be useful to indicate placement or to help explain a strategy. With placement being key in some fights, like Kephess in TFB, it'd really allow for better communication within a group. Even outside of ops groups, groups that are questing might also find it helpful.
  10. Here's the other issue that comes with the prequel mentality - if the Dark Side draws its strength from emotions... why doesn't love or attachment count? The easier answer is that it's faster to draw upon anger, aggression, grief, and so on, but then what about the "older, wiser" Sith (metaphorically speaking)? Those who have a tighter leash on how and when they use those emotions? Why wouldn't a Sith be able to love? Because it's easier for them to confuse love and infatuation? That's not a necessary deduction from "drawing power from emotions". It's not an issue with implementation (though that does need tweaking), per se, but with the mythology behind it as a whole. Even if you set aside the sources Lucas drew from, there is conflict within the Jedi over the matter. Anakin makes a good point in the second movie (even if I do hate that movie) - Jedi are meant to defend all life, which should inherently predispose you to loving it. Thus, encouraged to love. The Consular can even question the holocrons on Tython about compassion - how does that not benefit the Jedi? If the Sith are ruthless, are the Jedi not compassionate? One might say "it's for the greater good", but even that's not always true for the Jedi. Sith tend to show more foresight, at least as far as the Empire's slow creep across the galaxy, than the Jedi. The fact is doing good is hard than doing "evil." There's the immediate good and the long-term good that requires sacrifices along the way. Which leads me to my conclusion that it depends on what the Jedi stand for - and that changes. A lot, actually. Are they a religious order? Some of them, and more so in some time periods than others. Are they warriors? Yes. Are they intellectuals? Yes; they do try and preserve history... where it benefits the Order. Are they servants of the state? They try to be; the reason they have a Council is to keep the majority of Jedi from exercising too much political power, though the argument could be made that if the Council has quite a bit of political say. Most important is whether they are protectors of the defenseless, or catalysts for justice. And that really, really, really depends on who you ask and what the situation is and what time period it is. As far as the game is concerned, the most efficient and concrete answer is that when you Do the Deed, it's no longer just words or thoughts - it's now an act. You have done it. There are a lot of other feelings that become involved once you become physically intimate, and all the maybes and would-bes become more concrete and plausible. This may be acceptable for older members of the order, who have the experience and knowledge so that they can set aside those feelings and make a rational decision in times of difficulty, but for younger members, who are still exploring their new ability to feel things on another level, it's easy to get distracted and attached. Yeah. Stuff.
  11. Wait, wait, wait. What? Gays are more flexible in their sexuality? Really? As far as I know, they also prefer one sex over the other. Just because it's not the same one you prefer doesn't change their flexibility in sexuality. And you would take away roleplaying potential from ALL THE REST OF US who don't have issues with it because YOU don't like it? Even though no one is making you choose it. Just seeing the potential makes you squeamish? I don't like the idea of killing old people, but the options are there, and one character or another may do it. Even if mine don't... others' characters might. Why should my preferences override the collective potential of preferences? I'm fine with setting the matter straight early on, but that doesn't mean it should not be there, period. Anywho, I like the affection system, but since I can't reload a savegame, I feel much less beholden to my companions' views. And if I do say something I didn't mean to, I can just hit ESC and try again. Edit: Also, females only get one non-human romance. Males get much more racial variety. Not cool, brotato chips. I want man-twi'leks.
  12. Well. He's an honest fella. Just 'cause you're a smuggler doesn't mean his is! XD I don't take the combat shouts too seriously.
  13. I've played through most of the Kaliyo romance so far and... it's rocky... but I really appreciate it. It's a clear sign of NPC independence. They no longer rely on the PC for their direction. And for all the issues of "cheating" and whatnot, I can never see my Imp being the type of guy to settle down with a nice woman and have some kids, and he's just been around and with Kaliyo so long that it just makes sense. Besides, it's not like he hasn't slept with every Sith woman they've encountered. XD All he's done differently is been open about it. Corso is the other one I love so far. He's just so damn adorkable. And he gives me moddable GUNS. You can't get much better than that. You really can't.
