  1. How is this not fixed yet? It's been 3 months. Does no one at Bioware play the live game client? Seems like if anyone did they would be just as fed up with this sh*t as the community is by now.
  2. askmrrobot.com has also been updated if you prefer the more hands on approach
  3. "Static" is 3/4 NiM EC and 5/5HM TFB both 8 man Screens are on our webpage which is in my sig. Not that a guild this old should even need pix....
  4. - Empire guild = With times tailored for those who work late or just play late we have currently reached a consensus of: Main Days: ~ ~ TUESDAY + WEDNESDAY ~ optional - Clean Up / Progression - Thursday - ~ Starts at 8:00pm PST Duration: 2hrs (min) to 3hrs (max) ~ --->[Current raid priority: 8 man Hard Mode Terror From Beyond]<--- ~ Our specific raid group is seeking: 1 Tank Gear required is full or near full blackhole/campaign gear at the least and preferably have at least Story Mode experience for all current raid content. Having you as the Off-Tank would be a must but we would not restrict you to that role alone. If you want to main tank or DPS (or eventually gear up to DPS) that would be perfect as we encourage people to play multiple roles or characters to keep from getting bored. If your only interest is tanking that is fine however Some things to know about us: <Static> has been a guild of bloodthirsty hooligans for nearly the past 12 years across a broad spectrum of MMO's and team play games including Earth and Beyond, World of Warcraft, Rift, Eve: Online, SWG, Everquest 1 & 2, Lineage, City of Heroes, etc. -Maturity is the most important requirement. Being able to handle criticism, feedback, other peoples opinions and suggestions will earn you a solid place in this guild. -A sense of humor is a must. We tend to joke, troll and swear a lot but never in a malicious manner. Our interest is to have fun and relax, not create conflict. -All of our current main raiders have years of MMO/raiding/PVP experience and we are adults. -Teamspeak is the VoIP program of choice for Static and being on it for raids is a requirement. -We use MOX to parse the raids stats and damage. This is mandatory until you are an established raider. My specific group is just one of three active raids in a larger guild called "Static". You can check up on us a little bit at http://staticguild.guildlaunch.com Two groups raid Tues-Wednes-Thursdays and we have another that does Saturdays-Sundays. There is usually enough activity to bring your alternate characters along for Story/Hard Modes and we also do Nightmare Pilgrim/Dreadtooth/Other world bosses every Sunday afternoon. PVP is mostly a whenever thing, but we do make an effort to do ranked PVP every Saturday afternoon.
  5. At least he told us he wants level 50's to raid with. We all know how annoying those level 40 Operations are
  6. Good thing I never got around to equipping or modding my Phantom armor sets on my alt yet. If I had fully committed to something I spent that many resources gathering and just had it ruined with the usual level of failure I have to expect from Bioware, I would probably have unsubbed or at least boycotted the Cartel Market. This should have been addressed as close to the release of the item sets as possible, not this many weeks down the line Bioware. Another poor decision that is going to make alot of people angry about a Real Money item. Very bad for business. The real shame is how awesome the Phantom set looked before and now it looks like total garbage. Why would you idiots give it a hood if the corresponding set helmet just overrides it? Seriously, hire some new staff......
  7. I'm paying a hefty price for a [Diabolist's Fearless Lightsaber] I will tip free credits to anyone who can at least show the saber to me on their character in-game or provide proof of what sound this saber makes. or where to find it. I am after the specific look of this lightsabers hilt and am trying to track down one with a cool ignition/attack sound. Character faction is not an issue. Please contact me here or on my Juggernaut named Orphan via in-game mail or my Vanguard named Talahan. Thank you!
  8. Enraged Defense has always been viable, but it requires you to be careful and to preferably use both taunts. This has saved me many, many times in EC and should not be put off the table by anyone going hybrid.
  9. Still having this issue Bioware. Please address this.
  10. It's looking like this is a Class or a Planet Story quest item that you only have the option of choosing once. The item level places it on Voss or Belsavis so if you have already completed the quest lines via your class story or just doing the planets quest line and you do not have this item ..... you are screwed. If you don't want to take my word for it feel free to google or go do the Heroic quests yourself.
  11. I too am searching for this lightsaber. I know it's from a Mission reward but the question is which one? Going by the item level my current target is the Hoth heroic quests. EDIT: Does not come from any repeatable Hoth quests.
  12. You mitigate it by having one tank taunt the boss when the other gets the DoT
  13. You know there are other people that play this game that have the gear required for these Operations right? Why do they get punished and ignored by Bioware again and again? Does it seriously not occur to you people that maybe geared players want to use the Group Finder also? Sometimes Guilds are short 1, 2 or 3 people on a raid night, but due to the ignorant stance Bioware takes on this 'tool' they are forced to spam chat channels to fill these raid spots instead of just using Group Finder. So effectively, there might as well be no Group Finder tool. Honestly, as a player I think these things should be obvious to you and the company you represent Allison. Other posts mention adding a way to calculate gear score or some such but obviously that's more work for you guys, who can barely keep up as it is. All you have to do is add a prompt or warning of the difficulty of Explosive Conflict or Terror From Beyond when a player ques for it. "Warning: it is not recommended to attempt this Operation without acquiring gear from Karagga's Palace / Eternity Vault" Or something to that effect. It's an easy yet effective way to tell someone they need to be prepared first. Generally one would assume that if a player ques for a raid and is nowhere near the appropriate skill or gear requirement, they find themselves to be ineffective and resolve to try again later after clearing easier content. One could even assume that the fact they even tried to do Higher End content before doing Lower End content is a result of the game not communicating proper progression to said players. There is no excuse good enough for not having every Operation and every available difficulty in group finder. Having players attempt content and be frustrated with it is much better than having them be frustrated by not being able to attempt it all due to being unable to find a group for it. IN SUMMARY Not being able to find a group for all of the available Operations via Group Finder would bog down the process of getting into the content, which is contrary to the purpose of the tool.
  14. Juggs are the best at being kited and resource starved as a consequence in PVP. They are also the BEST at taking twice as much effort to accomplish anything compared to any other class except Guardian. Hope this helped.
  15. I am a Nightmare main tank that has looked over stat-breakdowns and spread sheets. I'm still getting to know it on a deeper level but this is top spec right now as far as I am concerned. 17/24/0. It's pure meat shield, designed for max mitigation against giant freaking monsters. It abandons the Smash upgrades for better DPS / single target threat via Impale. Feel free to adjust for your own personal preference, such as: 17/22/2. This is slightly better for AOE threat for example. For the cookie-cutter Immortal builds you have 31/8/2 and 31/3/7. These are better for Threat if you are one of those baddies that specs around that because you have no idea how to properly rotate skills and taunts. Most of all they are better outside of Operations as they add some PVP/Solo viability but I don't recommend them if you want to be the guy that dies last even though your healers have been taking a dirt nap for the last two minutes. Last and not least I ran with an old hybrid spec for ages. I don't know how viable it is as of 1.2 but I can gurantee its versatility and reliability. 14/27/0.
  16. Just curious, is anyone in this thread concerned with the real reason to spec a tank build? That being: reducing the amount of damage you take. Seems odd to me that an under geared tank is concerned with the least important aspect of playing of a Juggernaut in a raid over that. Threat generation? lol I've cleared every HM flashpoint and NM operation's except for Denova (story and hard only so far) and the only time it's a factor is on trash mobs.
  17. I'm still running my PVE 14/27/0 spec simply because they buffed it via Enraged Defense skill + Deafening Defense talent. It's another tank cooldown that carries me through burst phases / oh sh*t moments. http://www.torhead.com/skill-calc#101hMG0uZcGrMMhdzMM.1 Still clearing old Nightmares with it and doing fine in hardmode EC for the time being but I know I need to respec soon. It played superior to any Sonic Barrier build prior to 1.2 so I'm going to assume it still does? if anyone has a definite "best PVE mitigation spec" feel free to share. EDIT: This week I'm going to try 17/24/0. Thoughts anyone?
  18. All of the above. Flashpoints are one thing but being able to find people for Operations is the most important. Not being able to replace people or even find people at all for Operations hurts the guild community ALOT. There needs to be tools that allow players to find other players for every aspect of this game, be it PVP / Quests / Flashpoints or Operations or the game will suffer as a whole. Why this didnt make it in to the release or a previous patch is truly staggering from a player stand point. This is the 2012 MMO market Bioware, please step it up.
  19. Vette does indeed outstrip Jaesa in the dps department. Range is just better. Im using bounty hunter pistols right now due to the lack of cunning barrels. The improved damage ranges on the columi and rakata barrels outweigh the cunning stats on say, the skill barrel 23's from the daily vendors. Vette does benefit from aim, just not as much as she does from cunning. In 1.2 this problem will be solved by transferable barrels, until then just make do with whatever BH pistols you can poach and re-mod. Oh, and never ever use a blaster rifle on Vette. If you are going to do that, just use Jaesa instead.
