  1. Dont get me wrong, I hope they do just find that magic bullet... I love Star Wars, and I do love the storytelling in this game.. and despite the flakey engine the gfx have grown on me, sometimes they are oustanding.. the problem is the inconsistency; I just dont get it! But considering the hype, and considering the game cost (the most expensive MMO I've bought yet - aside from boxed collectors editions i've treated myself to).., I do think people have legitimate reasons to complain. The problem is I've given too many games the benefit of the doubt in the past, and ended up feeling I'd wasted my time, energy and money supporting them. I was hoping that wasn't going to be the case with SWTOR... time will tell.
  2. I love my G13, couldnt live without it Well the LCD screen bit I could... but just love the mini keyboard thing, as for the Nostromo.. yuck yuck yuck!! Wobbly uncomfrtable piece of junk
  3. LOL, I had to laugh at this... cos I've beenplaying through this game thinking the same thing. Damn us Sith are stupid! Just how the hell did we manage to build an Empire? We seem to spend most of our time killing each other..
  4. Apology accepted I'm not a complete git about things usually.. but I've had more than my fair share of problems with this game, and it's starting to grate somewhat.. if that wasn't obvious
  5. How's so? The only thing it isn't is as packed as it once was.. they've developed it nicely since launch. It's biggst fault being the lack of depth in the world imo.. Whatever fella, story and endgame HAVE been different things in other games.. but you're telling me it's not possible to mix the 2? LoTRO has done it for years and Rift is attempting it (with what little story it has).. it perfectly IS possible to have the 2 intertwined. In your opinion they are.. you are not privvy to what Bioware's plans were any more than anybody else on this forum. My opinion is that if you think they launched this game to be just about the story (and endgame in your terms doesn't form part of that story) that they're not going to concentrate on endgame, then in MY opinion you're somewhate deluded. If what you say is true the game will fail simple as, people will not hang around without stuff to do.. In your opinion again they're lightning fast, in mine they're not.. again going back to Rift, the pace here is a crawl in comparison to those guys pumping out fixes and content. Firstly you have no idea how many MMO's I have played, am I supposed to be in awe at your MMO prowess? Or the fact that is appears you dont hang around any of them all that long? See my last paragraph...
  6. I didnt call the player a fanboy.. reading comprehension 101... I said the fanboy was strong in that paragraph... As an aside if the person concerned had an issue, then surely he/she should have reported it or taken it up with me. Rather than your flagrant and rude interjection!
  7. Hi thanks.. and Reported! My opinion differs, ergo I'm a troll
  8. Launching a full featured, modern MMORPG worthy of something released for 2012? Again, I'd say Rift was a slick complete and polished package at launch.. Oh, clever and useless just as your response is?.. we're all SUPPOSED to know what YOU mean? So there's the levelling process, etc etc.. as great as it is.. you're telling me Bioware decided that's what the game is about, and endgame is an after-thought? You really think they'd launch on that basis.. just how the hell do you propose they'd keep subs going once that 'levelling story' runs dry? The fanboy is strong in this one... Keep patting them on the back, the fact is their bug fixing is painfully SLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWW, and they don't give the impression they're listening at all.. Yep now I know you're bonkers if you can tell me Rift was full of deep lore, let alone a story... Rift is a great game as far as their whole ecosystem goes. But story/lore nah.. it's only just started to nit all that kind of stuff together.
  9. And then there is the ardent fanboy, who has little to add to a discussion.. so instead tries to to belittle those with genuine grievences. Yep they're usually about in every game too, although this game appears to have more than it's fair share.
  10. Yes but they haven't anywhere near met their own timetable.. i,e launch date! Because end game stuff can't be part of the story.. oh yeah, now why didn't I see that; it was that OBVIOUS! There's bugs, and then there's bugs on top of an unoptimised game engine, in a game that has scant little in terms of game systems (other than a good story arc).. and it makes a difference if it appears the Devs are fixing stuff and listening. There's stuff still bugged in this game that were bugged way back in beta, and reported by countless testers.. Aside from it's lack of 'lore' and deep story Bioware's devs could do worse than take a sneaky look at Rift, and their Dev team..
  11. Dunno if it's just me, but the graphics appear to be getting steadily worse... I haven't played for over a week, come back on today and the draw distance of the ground detail (i.e plants) is ludicrously close.. and the ground is looking like tiled low res textures.. I'm pretty sure it wasn't like that previously. I've tried increasing the draw distance via the .ini files, to no avail.. This depsite everything be set to max...
