I recently re-rolled on Bastion as I am anticipating a summer move. I will say this about that server... the ranked WZ scene is crazy! There were 6 total teams playing last night. We only faced one team multiple times. The part I hate though, is that I actually think the talent level is better here. There are a number of players on this server that I believe are top notch! The problem is the talent pool is not...we simply don't have enough players. I really love the community on The Ebon Hawk and the players I have met during my short stay. However, I play this game for the PvP and it is just not happening, for me at least, right now on this server.

Thanks for the replies guys. I actually x-transferred to the server after reading a little about the ranked scene. I know some teams might be a little leery about queing due to needing to gear up after 2.0, but I hope that will change. We had some solid players on Ebon Hawk, but only enough to make about 2 teams; and one of those was a meta team Man'iac - I will definitely give you a whisper. Thanks for the info. At any rate, I hope to see you guys on the rated scene (if I can find a squad!).

Thanks Adraaj. I will try to reach out to one of the mentioned Republic guilds. Maybe they have a spot. Unfortunately, Jung Ma was hit as hard as any server after the merges. A lot of the teams lost players/composition. I've heard that there are a few teams that are currently running Ranked, but those seem to be the teams that were getting smashed when Jung Ma was at its peak. I wish the devs would introduce x-server for ranked. That would, seemingly to me, increase a lot of interest across ALL servers. On Ebon Hawk, it was primarily us (Hex) and Gamepirella that were running. We had a few months of some very good matches. However, after a while it was just the same two squads and there was no variety. Anyhow, I am looking forward to, hopefully, getting to know the PvP crowd here.

I was a very active ranked player on both Jung Ma (when folks were running rated WZs) and The Ebon Hawk. However, because I will be moving to the West Coast in August, I rerolled on this server (also hearing that there was a lively rated scene). However, I am starting to hear rumblings that there are no Republic teams running ranked. If I am mistaken, and there are teams that are looking to build a squad and could use a gunslinger let me know. My in-game name is Wild'Bill.

Heya Bastion, I am moving from Jung Ma/Ebon Hawk to the Bastion. I am looking for a guild that is either currently running a Ranked Squad or is looking to start one with some solid players. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on the Ranked scene here!), I am moving to the West Coast and need something that is going to be a better fit for my schedule. I have plenty of experience running Ranked WZs on both Jung Ma and the Ebon Hawk. I can provide screenies of matches and links to opponent streams that provide some insight into my own gameplay. Our guild did not stream our own. Also, I will be happy to jump on a vent/mumble and try out for a squad. Please keep in mind that I am still gearing up. Just wanted to say a quick thanks to Guerilla for pulling a team together last night. I hope I speak for the rest of Hex when I say that we all enjoyed ourselves. I hope to see some more teams out there on Wednesday!

Fribs...TEHRPL?!? I thought you were starting The Ebon Hawk RP League...I was "confused"... Back on topic, I just don't see how, if implemented correctly, this could be a bad thing. Borderline teams could really use a format like this to find out where they stand. In addition, it basically forces teams that were hesitant to really get their rated teams together to get moving. I am fully on board with this and am happy to help out in any way I can.

In all likelihood, Hex is going to try and field another team this Wednesday. If any guilds are interested, just let someone from Hex know.

Couldn't agree more with Dash on this point. I re-rolled from Jung Ma after the death of Rated WZs there for this very reason. For whatever reason, people became ultra-protective of their ratings and refused to queue up after achieving a certain score. Don't get me wrong, a high rating is something you should set your goals on, but achieving that score doesn't mean that you just hang up the blasters after that. If people are willing to queue up more and just get in there and mix it up, I think you'll find that you learn a lot from it. I do hope Rateds make their return, it was fun AND competitive and I think thats what most of us are looking for in the game anyhow.

I haven't read through the entire thread, so I will apologize if this has already been said but ... It also should be mentioned that when you queue you should be using some sort of stim. It's disgusting to see so many people queue into a warzone not using a stim. Often times, these are the same folks that would complain if someone were to join an Operation and not using a stim. I think the same rules apply, you are participating in a collaborative effort and should try to do your best to help out your team/operation. There are plenty of folks that will happily create the stims for you for the cost of mats (myself included).

Yeah, I actually had an interesting discussion on the fleet this week. I was just making some observations about poor pvp play in the 50s bracket. I was pointing out that there is an overabundance of players that simply do not have knowledge about how pvp actually works. At one point, I suggested that more players need to be aware of: 1) Taunting DPS opponents - especially those focusing heals and 2) Interrupting casts To this, someone responds that if I am taunting in a warzone I am wasting my time. He states that "taunts only work in PVE". I simply said that, "Thanks you proved my earlier point..."
