  1. <Forceful> is a casual, no-kiddies, mature adult guild for casual players. It's a great place for folks who just want to come in and play the game with no strings. The guild plays home to a fair number of folks who are either altcoholics or are returning to the game. We run hard mode flashpoints as requested for the most part, and join in on operations if we want to give them a try. http://forceful.guildportalcom/
  2. <Forceful> might be a good fit for your Jedi. We're basically a loose confederacy of new players and returning players who enjoy the game for the sake of entertainment. We live by the motto of "If you're not having fun in the game, you're doing it wrong." We're all adults, all of whom have lived independently of our parents and understand the meanings of "maturity" and "real life comes first". It's really casual, and we thoroughly enjoy helping members out with quests or answering questions. http://forceful.guildportal.com/
  3. Super hyper mega turbo ültra uber bump. So we have a few active level 50 members who are either learning/relearning the game or are altcoholics. We're learning hard mode flashpoints and having a grand old time with daily quests. We'd love to have you along!
  4. (1) I've haven't seen too many community memes, but I don't spend a whole lot of my time here. There does seem to be this random, oft repeated joke in the game of a Jedi, a trooper, and a smuggler walking into a cantina. (It pops up occasionally on the Imperial side as a Sith, a bounty hunter, and an Imperial agent.) (2) I don't believe that Aftermath or Fires of Heaven have a presence in SW:TOR like they did in EverQuest or World of WarCraft. So there are none of which I'm aware. (3) The Forceful guild on the Galactic Republic side of the fence hosts a few altcoholics' characters. Right now, it's small - but it has some decent folks that are on fairly regularly. They have a nominal presence in the Sith Empire under the banner of Enforced, but that's mostly comprised of the current Forceful guild leader and one other officer.
  5. I'd like if BioWare were to take a lesson from Sony in how they managed character names after server transfers. Unlike BioWare's poorly trained, outsourced "customer service", Sony didn't just tell active, paying customers to stuff it, cram it, shove it, or ram it when they lost their character name(s) after a server merger. Sony actually came up with what seemed a very fair resolution. Regardless of whether a character was on a source server or destination server, the character that had the longer play time was given prescedence. I've had my character name "Santiago" since ßeta testing. The "Santiago" on my current server isn't active anymore. (I sent him 100,000 credits in an in-game message. It was returned to me unopened 30 days later.) Just my two cents.
  6. Greetings, Major. I am Major Santiago "Séamas" Strategos, vanguard trooper, Shield Specialist of the Army of the Galactic Republic, and commanding officer of Havoc Squad. General Garza has sent Major Pericles "Xacobe" Strategos, a combat medic like yourself, and me to discuss with you the possibility of joining the <Forceful> guild. The <Forceful> guild is a smaller, casual, friendly adults-only, drama-free guild on the Shadowlands server. We understand that real life comes first, and that its responsibilities supersceed the game itself. Our focus, as it stands currently, is helping folks progress at their own pace, whether it comes in the form of helping on a difficult quest, coming along with you on a hard mode flash point, running daily quests, or just chewing the proverbial fat while you're out doing your own thing. If you're looking for more information, feel free to contact one of the members in the game for find us at the cantina on Ord Mantell. We have a small web site at http://forceful.guildportal.com/ as well.
  7. Forceful was formed shortly after SW:TOR went live on the Mind Trick server as a guild of the Galactic Republic. Currently a smaller guild, our aim is to build a community that fosters character development (questing, flashpoints, tradeskills), camaraderie, and casual, PvE-focused gaming for mature adults. We have very few expectations of our members beyond enjoyment of the game itself. The focus is on helping new players and folks returning to the game after a long absence. It's a great spot for those who are still learning the game. When it comes to the topic of character development, we don't limit ourselves to one aspect of the game (such as operations, hard-mode flashpoints, or team PvP). Instead, doing a bit of everything helps each of us to keep from getting bored easily. If you want to try something new that requires a team effort, just ask. Role-playing is welcome, but not demanded. We do not adhere to the light or dark side. Running the 8-man of 16-man operations or team PvP are not focal points for the guild at this time. We do have a guild bank with two tabs. For lack of need, the guild does not run a voice server. Membership is comprised of players who are working professionals in real life: folks who have live independently of parents and are making their own way. We've all reached a point in our lives where we aren't interested in entertaining high school-level humor or drama. We like to keep a separation of real life and game life, as SW:TOR is a place to come when we want to unwind. If this sounds of interest, contact a member in game or visit our web site at http://forceful.guildportal.com/ - we look forward to hearing from you!
  8. Guild Name: Forceful Faction: Galactic Republic Focus: (Casual,PvE,PvP,Hardcore, etc) Casual, mature adult guild with an aim on help folks develop characters and learn the game. Website: http://forceful.guildportal.com/ We are recruiting.
  9. I'd be mostly curious to see how the storyline with Sergeant Jaxo played out when you're slated to choose whether she or the prisoners die at the end of chapter two. Saving her at the cost of letting the prisoners die will definitely earn you dark side points. I took the light side choice when I was rolling my Shield Specialist. I'm half tempted to choose the dark side choice on my Combat Medic, unless someone cares to post a spoiler here.
  10. I'm playing a vanguard trooper, so I don't have access to Qyzen as a companion. But I'm signing this petition because I have the same problem with my melee tank companion, Tanno Vik. I'd very much like to see a fix implemented for Qyzen and Tanno Vik.
  11. I'd very much like to have way of turning off C2-N2's greetings every time I enter my ship or walk by him too closely. I could do without the attention-starved puppy ravings of thick crew members, overstuffed cushions, happy smells in the ventilation, my respitory health, how efficient he or my ship is, or how happy he is that he wasn't built for combat.
  12. Personally, I'd like an option in Preferences that allows me to turn off the menu that appears every time a companion returns from gathering mission. I can think of very little that I find more annoying in the game than when I'm working with other menus (modifications, galatic trade kiosk, companion inventory moves) and having those closed in lieu of my companion interrupting me with a smack to the forehead with a sign that says "I'VE RETURNED FROM MY MISSION!!! PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!!" I find it disruptive in nasty battles, and I understand that it's something that PvP players could do without. Of lesser annoyance are the (AREA) missions that keep coming up after I've abandoned them for lack of interest. I'd like if these quests could be flagged as "Leave me alone after this." I also wouldn't mind an option to sell back unused commendations to an NPC. I have no use for Ord Mantell commendations, but I could certainly use the credits. $ € £ ¥ ₧ ƒ
  13. Once a player hits max level in EverQuest, he can continue to earn level experience up until he fills the normal experience bar for the top level. I'm told that this is also the case in World of WarCraft. Is that the case here in SW:TOR, or does the regular experience bar just stop moving when a player hits 50?
  14. Yeah, I didn't think about that in PvP. I can see where that would be an unwelcome interruption somewhere in the neighborhood of a cat jumping up on your desk and knocking your Coke all over your keyboard.
  15. I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of something that is otherwise glaringly obvious. I'll send my companions out to do underworld trading or scavenging missions. I've found that they have an annoying habit that when they return, the like to close any menus that I have open (character, inventory, intergalatic planetary planetary intergalatic market search, whatever) and let me know that they're back. They also have no problem letting me know right when I've got a number of mobs smacking me silly and slapping me stupid. To say that I find it annoying is an understatement. I'd much rather have an auditory FYI and a little [Pending] notification at the top right-hand corner of the window, as happens when there are quest rewards to collect. Does anyone know if this option has been implemented in the Preferences? I'm not finding it.
