  1. As long as you stay in constant WZ queue while doing your class story, and pick up your daily and weekly pvp missions, you shouldn't have a problem. I got my GS to lvl 53 before I finished my class story. You'll also want to do your daily and weekly FP missions also for the extra XP. Find some good Orange Gear, and use WZ comms to buy Planet comms. I usually rotate buying mods/enhancements, and armoring every other odd level, and you can usually pick up green gear for your companion pretty cheap off the GTN to get through the story.
  2. Does anyone know if using a Single Saber for Kira has any impact versus her Double Saber?
  3. thanks, I'd looked there, i didn't realize that "Open chat" apperently also means send chat.
  4. So I managed to unbind my Enter key for sending chat messages and I can't find anywhere to reset it. Does anyone know where I can go to fix this? Thanks
  5. I've been working under the impression that anything labled as "Kinetic" damage is a "Force" Power. The Focus Tree Skill Zephyr, lowers the CD on all "Force Abilities" in Shii-Cho Form, Force Sweep, Blade Storm, Force Kick, and Stasis are the only powers that seem to be affected, so looks like only Knight abilities, and no Sentinel/Watchman abilities that I can tell.
  6. I just started watching Firefly and it has made me want to roll a smuggler, but wasn't sure if it would be completely different, You Sir have now sold me on rolling a Smuggler! Thanks!
  7. I hope so! I have the http://www.torhead.com/item/b4PUMgB/jedi-myrmidons-chestguard#screenshots on my Guard and am rerolling a knight as a Sentinal and would love to be able to equip him with the same looking robe. The Myrmidon Chestguard is some form of drop, I'm not sure, the only other person I've seen wearing it bought it on the GTN, which is where I bought mine as well. Sorry if that didn't help, but with it "existing" as a Heavy piece theres a good chance it exists as a medium armor.
  8. Does anyone know where to find this chest piece? Guardian's Maelstrom Chestplate http://www.torhead.com/item/1lrWlUb/guardians-maelstrom-chestplate#screenshots Thanks
  9. Thanks for the replies guys, I gave it a few hours and went back and didn't have an issue the next time around. I think my internet was having some issues and causing me to spend more time on the ground then I should have, since the mez breaking power wasn't available to use when I'd get knocked down. I took a might stim and switched to my offensive form and just dps'd them to death. I wouldn't have an issue until they were at 20% or so HP and then they'd wreck my HP at the end, it was odd behavior to say the least, but thanks again.
  10. I am a lvl 32 Guardian and fighting the Harrowers and Kira and I keep getting knocked down and staying down for a few seconds (Kira sometimes for a 5-10 seconds) when I have the Harrower down to low hp and my hp is high enough that I should be able to take him out, But then I'm knocked to the ground for several seconds unable to do anything and take a huge amount of damage that eventually kills me. I'm curious is this a power of the harrower or Im I just dealing with an annoying bug?
  11. I've recently started up a Guardian (lvl 26) after taking a Sent to lvl 27 and on Alderaan. A few things I learned along the way: Get an Orange Moddable Chest Pieace and use commendations to keep it up to date. Get any other Moddable armor pieces along the way. Upgrade your Lightsaber with the "Best" mods for your spec. The Jedi Knight has ALOT of powers available (and ALOT of those are offensive). Narrow down to what you need and dump the rest. I only used 4-5 basic attacks for my Guardian. Force Leap, Force Sweep, Sunder, Stirke, Reposte and Slash as needed. I didn't have trouble with most things. I use Kick and Stasis as needed, if I take on too much, I'll use stasis to by myself a moment to click Saber Ward to buy a few more minutes to attack. I just added Blade Storm and that has significantly increased my attacking ability. I go Leap > Sweap > Sunder > Strike > Blade Storm > Slash/ Reposte (when available) and haven't had an issue. I use Kira exclusively, gave her a moddable chest piece and keep her saber up to date on mods as well. I played mostly in the Soresu form while leveling to this point and have started to use Shien and have been DPS'ing even better. I strongly suggest looking to purchase at the least a moddable chest piece to start your gear updating. You should be able to pick one up on the Galactic trade market for 5k-10k credits. Also when replacing non-moddable gear do you have the right stats? While it's important to have your armor rating go up, don't sacrifice str & end, these are two very important stats for a Guard. If you can increase armor, but the gear has +Aim and/or +cunning but shows a -str or -end its not worth the increase in armor, as you need to keep yourself balanced.
  12. He defeated me about 3 or 4 times before I took him out, however the time I did take him out he went down like a sack of potatoes, didn't kill Kira and I had 1/2 health without using Call of the Force at equal level to him. The first time I faced him he was +1 to me but I decided to give it a run to test him out. I returned to Nar Shadaa and leveled up, increased my armor and stats and picked up kick. When I went back to him, he had his way with me a few more times, using all my CD's and Call of the force. I decided to try him one more time even though COtF wasn't back up and just utterly destroyed him. I've gotta say that with how easy he was that last time, that sometimes the RNG works overly favorably at times.
  13. I would like to preface this is all regarding a solo PVE experience: So my first character (and main) is a Sentinel and after having some slight issues playing, I ventured to the forums and saw a lot of, sents are weak, sents are fine, sents have some probelms, L2P, "I know how to play, sents suck" and whatnot, so I just thought I'd relay my experience so far. I was invited to betas but never joined because I wanted to experience the game completely brand new from the start, so when I got my early invite I jumped on it. I quickly rolled my Jedi Knight, then saw that Sents dual wielded and couldn't pass up a two saber death machine, once I got to Coruscant. I played quickly through the story to get my saber as quickly as possible, left Tython, and ventured to Coruscant to get my 2nd saber. I played through a few side quests and started having some serious issues with Elites (Tarnis) and a few other enemies along the way. After going through the forums and seeing a lot of back and forth I said maybe a sent isn't for me, and rolled a Consular to go Shadow (If I can't dual wield I'll Double Blade). As I played the Consular I decided to do the side quests on Tython, I began to realize, I'd skipped ALOT of stuff on my Knight, I then realized that I was level 10 on my final story mission, where I was level 7 or 8 on my knight. This was my first clue that I was severely underleveled for what I'd been trying to accomplish on my Knight. After reading the forums, and looking at the skill trees, I also realized that maybe Combat didn't fit my playstyle and that maybe a Watchman was more my taste, so I popped back over to my Sent, respec'd to Watchman, and haven't stopped playing him since. I make sure I'm at least =lvl with what I'm doing, sometimes even being +1 or +2 to my my mission due to sidequests. I have a Purple Robe (with purple mods, thank you whoever crafted that so I could use it at lvl 16), I bought on auction, have been working on my artifice, treasure hunting and archeology crew skills for some nice crystal bonuses (things I hadn't even tried my first couple of weeks playing) I've got some very strong mods for my sabers and armor, almost all of my armor is orange at this point and have just been absolutely loving my Sent. Now I say all of this, not having a clue how easy/hard any other Character might be, but I do know that I really enjoy my Sent, and although he is a challenge at times, and required a bit of a learning curve, he is quite beautiful and I don't think I could have this much fun on another character, (Granted I suppose I have been known to take on the more PITA Characters in MMORPGs). I'm sure some things could be made easier, and I'm also sure that there could be a little more reward for the amount of effort we put in while using a Sent, but I also know it is not a "Broken" AT. I am also not en "Elitist" nor a "Hardcore" gamer, I relay my experiences hoping that others will read this and get an idea on what they can do to help themselves enjoy the Sentinel. Whether or not the Sent needs fixing isn't for me to decide, if the Devs decide to do something, fine, but until then I really hope this helps others to enjoy their Characters.
  14. If I'm not mistaken, I tried to fight Tarnis at lvl 16?, and I was getting my ***** handed to me trying to fight him -2 lvls lower then him (I was lvl 14, so same scenario). I did side quests until I was even level, so i would recommend catching up to his level and then fighting him. I actually never even noticed the enemies level until Tarnis... thats when a lot of my "troubles" as a sent made sense, and I realized I was way underleveled for the content I'd been playing. Level up and you should be golden!
