  1. I was just about to suggest that myself.
  2. Who would not want their own little lovable bundle of fangs? Let me just link http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/File:Allana_Solo_by_Brian_Rood.jpg
  3. While I am not sure if this has been mentioned, but making the actual items (not the various crates available) from the Cartel Market available to anyone who has a Collector Edition account in exchange of credits. These items would be Bind on Pickup and would not be part of the Collections, allowing Bioware to continue selling their crates to non-Collector Edition individuals and would allow collector edition individuals who was promised more vanity gear.
  4. That would be a simple, but effective idea for lining up stuff. +1
  5. Being a subscriber that looks at the boards, you always see people who yell about this or yell about that. If anything that I have learned over the years is that the people who yell on the boards may be part of a very vocal but minority portion of the game. Now, EA Bioware, if you want to know what your player base wants, make a real survey. Some guidelines for your survey: * Only for current subscribers that have been active for at least 6 months - those are the people who pay the bills and who will continue to pay the bills. These are the people who actually care about the game. * Make sure to inquire what kind of server the players play on primarily. * Make sure that the questions allow a wide range answers - don't include yes, no, don't care questions. You want more shades of grey than that. Some of the questions may also have multiple answers selectable to them. * Make sure to have very clear and detailed questions - the better the customer understands the question, the better they should be able to answer. * Ask questions regarding potential content concepts ("What do you think about organized battle droid arena fights?") * Include questions regarding every current aspect of the game: class quests, planet quests, artwork, PVE, PVP, role-play, guilds, flashpoints, operations, space missions, the message board, customer service, game performance, etc etc etc... * Don't be afraid to ask questions about the dark side of the business - what we customers dislike about things you are doing - customer service performance, software bugs, level of communication between you and customers, etc etc etc. You want honest feedback. * Have the survey split into multiple sections, to help clarification and keeping the customer focused. * Have a feedback section at the end of the survey where people can write around 8,000 characters (about 1,000 words). * Test out the survey yourselves to see how long it takes to answer and make it clear that the survey should take around 15,20,30 minutes (or more) * Provide an honorarium - people who answer the entire survey get a minor benefit - a pet, a title, 50 cartel coins, etc etc etc. Don't promise anything specific, or you may have people who will rush through the survey just to get their payment. That way, you will know what people REALLY want and what you should focus on.
  6. * Ship Mailbox * Ship Droid Vendor * PVE Combat Dummy * Quick Travel Cooldown Reduction * Emergency Fleet Pass Cooldown Reduction * Improved Crafting Critical chance * Reduction of time for companions to sell Junk * Transport to BlackHole, Fleet Vanguard Ship, Coruscant (main character only) * Sith Pureblood
  7. Actually, that is a pretty smart idea. Or at a minimum - the sending account should have a security key.
  8. People who complain about your performance in warzones, when it is clear you are in recruit gear and you are trying to learn how fight in them.
  9. No matter what you put in the collector edition store, there will be jealous people. As long as it is not items that unbalance the game play, I say things like crystals (including the white ones) are fair game. Collector Edition owners should be able to get in-game collectibles there are exclusive or otherwise next to impossible to acquire.
  10. Consider allowing players to ZOOM in to see what their characters and companions will look like with said gear or customization. I am sure I am not the only one who has trouble making out what the previewed character will really look like in the end.
  11. This may be a crazy idea, but one I find that could be interesting. Have an operation, accessible only via the group finder, that requires either 4 or 8 members from EACH faction in order to be completed (placed in their own faction separated group). Once completed, both factions would receive their rewards separately. Variants on the idea include options where: * Each faction could choose to either cooperate or betray the other side, possibly leading to different rewards. * There may be different (and semi-randomized) objectives for each faction to complete which leaves each side wondering what the other side may be up to.
  12. 1) Increased frequency of content updates. I know Bioware has said it would do so and we all know that it costs money. But the lack of new content is probably the main reason people left. Big bonus points if it story/class oriented. 2) Better customization options for our characters. Look at STO and DCUO for inspiration if you need too. Styles A lot of MMOs allow styles in a way or another. The easiest way to resolve this would be to have an extra styles tab, where a player simply dumps a piece of equipment they own, replacing the visual look of the real item worn. Slots without items would simply default to the style of the real item. This would allow my Vanguard to look like he is wearing his clan Varad chestpiece while wearing his Columni one. Ink/Dye system This allows more flexibility and would allow players more input on what they look like (though I suspect a wave of black would follow). It should have limited impact on GPU performance. Camouflage/Patterns to apply on equipment. This would entail new textures overlays, which would greatly enhance customization and individualization, at the cost of hard disk space and GPU performance. This could partially be mitigated by adding a slide bar in the Graphics option to adjust the crispness of these overlays. 3) Better communication on what is actively worked on by the team. I feel very much that what is happening behind the scenes as Bioware Austin is shrouded in secrecy, with way too many things important to the player base being left unanswered. The current situation leaves many of us with the impression that the player base is either being ignored or lied to. And don't be afraid to go and ask the paying customer base "What do you think of THIS idea?" Bonus: - SGRA - VIP and Collector Edition Vendor updates - Hoods (you know what I am talking about) - World Events, like the Rakghoul Plague, that have some replayability to it. Also, am I allowed to ask for investors that are more interested in long term profitability that short term gains? The latter would make sure we have a great game (meaning people will gladly subscribe for a long time) than the former who will just try to milk the cow until it is dry (and dead).
  13. I have always loved "You scum sucking son of a Hutt"
  14. I do have a simple question for the Community Managers. I have several ideas to post in the Suggestion Box. Do you prefer one single idea per thread or mash them all up together?
  15. Just watched the E3 press conference. Cathar is confirmed as a new upcoming playable race.
  16. I found the Battle Expulsor's Belt yesterday in Coruscant by defeating the champion at the end of the Heroic 4 Enemies of the Republic. Good luck to all of you.
  17. My roommate would disagree utterly with you. He tends to get the short end of the stick as when we run FlashPoints and it is nearly all Force-related items. I am sure he wished it was mostly AIM related items.
  18. That is pretty much the system our guild uses. Now we have it written as a guild rule (including what constitutes a need), and each new member is explained how we work and operate. If you are having problems with guildmates, then make sure rules are written in stone (or durasteel). However, with PUGs, I wish you the best of luck. Now I have been mostly fortunate and did not have any overtly greedy individuals in my parties, but I know they are out there. However, sadly, you won't be able to prevent people for rolling NEED on everything. Best you can do is remember their names and if they pop up again, don't include them in parties.
  19. 3. Tried it several times, trying to see what worked and what did not. Jedi Guardian / Full Defense + 1x Improved Sundering Strike Died 8 or 9 times... spent a fortune on T7 to equip him ( he now has more bling bling that I do ) It is critical to interrupt anything he throws at you. Reserve your force kicks, force pushes, stuns, force stasis just for that. Awe also makes a difference. Be sure to remember to use your damage reductions abilities. Worse is, in the final fight, I forgot to use my buff, a might stim and call on the force (because I was tired - finished him at 00:15am) and still managed to beat him.
  20. Darn, I was just about to post that question. Well, thank you for answering it. Dear Bioware... please make a hilt 24 that only Artifice people can craft with rare recipes
  21. Well, this is definitely good news. I am glad to see also the community do something else that simply complain and actually say something positive. As someone who works in IT, I know how complicated some stuff can get and any positive words from the users can go a LONG way with the developers.
  22. you guys and gals rock... I will have a look at that as soon as I get home.
  23. Okay, so I have run through the Black Talon a few times with some of my guildies and there is one item you could help me with. Please, could someone tell me WHERE the Black Talon lore object is? I have searched nearly everywhere (obviously, not everywhere, as I have not found it). I found the one in the Brentaal Star no problem (in the room were you fight the little twi'lek padawan). I read somewhere online it is a light blue computer, but to no avail. Thanks
  24. Chaos forbid it ain't regulation...
  25. I found this thread rather interesting up to now. There are definite pros and cons from what I can tell. Honestly, my main character has Artifice at 400 and I have no intention on switching it. I don't just craft for myself, I craft things for my clan as well (as they do for me). Being the idiot I am (and I am proud to be one), I try to get purple recipes for everything I can. Does it cost money? Sure. Do I get purples often? Hell no. Do I bounce around like a kid when I get manage to learn a purple schematic? Oh yeah Okay, I don't really PVP and I am not level 50 yet, so maybe that is why I am not feeling the impact as much. Perhaps it is because I am willing to be patient to get to my goal of all purple schematics. My plan is to have Biochem on one of my alts (when I finally decide to play him). I do have a question about biochem items; are they bind on pickup? If so, then I could understand why people are panicking about that skill. If not, then there is no emotion, only the Force.
